Psalms 48

1 The song of salm, of the sones of Chore. The Lord is greet, and worthi to be preisid ful myche; in the citee of oure God, in the hooli hil of hym.

கோராகியரின் சங்கீதப் பாட்டு. யெகோவா மிகவும் பெரியவர், நமது இறைவனுடைய நகரத்தில், அவருடைய பரிசுத்த மலையில் அவர் மிகவும் துதிக்கப்படத்தக்கவர்.

2 It is foundid in the ful out ioiyng of al erthe; the hil of Syon; the sidis of the north, the citee of the greet kyng.

சீயோன் மலை தன் கம்பீரத்தில் அழகாய், முழு பூமியின் மகிழ்ச்சியாய் இருக்கிறது, வடதிசையின் மிக உயர்ந்த மேடுகளைப் போல இருக்கிற அது மகா அரசரின் நகரம்.

3 God schal be knowun in the housis therof; whanne he schal take it.

இறைவன் அதின் கோட்டைப் பட்டணங்களில் வீற்றிருந்து, அவர்தாமே அதின் கோட்டை எனக் காண்பிக்கிறார்.

4 For lo! the kyngis of erthe weren gaderid togidere; thei camen into o place.

அரசர்கள் படைதிரட்டி ஒருமித்து முன்னேறி வந்தபோது,

5 Thei seynge so wondriden; thei weren disturblid, thei weren mouyd togidere, tremblyng took hem.

சீயோன் மலையைக் கண்டு அதிர்ச்சியடைந்து, திகிலடைந்து தப்பி ஓடினார்கள்.

6 There sorewis as of a womman trauelynge of child;

அங்கே நடுக்கம் அவர்களைப் பிடித்தது; பிரசவிக்கும் பெண்ணுக்கு உண்டாகுவதைப் போன்ற வேதனை அவர்களைப் பிடித்தது.

7 in a greet spirit thou schalt al to-breke the schippis of Tharsis.

யெகோவாவே, நீர் கிழக்குக் காற்றினால், தர்ஷீசின் கப்பல்களை உடைக்கிறீர்.

8 As we herden, so we sien, in the citee of the Lord of vertues, in the citee of oure God; God hath foundid that citee with outen ende.

நாம் கேள்விப்பட்டது போலவே, சேனைகளின் இறைவனுடைய பட்டணத்தில், நம்முடைய யெகோவாவின் பட்டணத்தில் நாம் கண்டும் இருக்கிறோம்: இறைவன் அந்தப் பட்டணத்திற்கு என்றென்றைக்கும் பாதுகாப்பு கொடுக்கிறார்.

9 God, we han resseyued thi mercy; in the myddis of thi temple.

இறைவனே, உமது உடன்படிக்கையின் அன்பைக்குறித்து, உமது ஆலயத்தில் நாங்கள் தியானிக்கிறோம்.

10 Aftir thi name, God, so thin heriyng is spred abrood in to the endis of erthe; thi riyt hond is ful of riytfulnesse.

இறைவனே, உமது பெயரைப் போலவே உமது துதியும் பூமியின் கடைசிவரை எட்டுகிறது; உமது வலதுகரம் நீதியால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.

11 The hil of Sion be glad, and the douytris of Judee be fulli ioiful; for thi domes, Lord.

உமது நியாயத்தீர்ப்பின் நிமித்தம் சீயோன் மலை களிகூருகிறது, யூதாவின் கிராமங்கள் மகிழ்கிறது.

12 Cumpasse ye Syon, and biclippe ye it; telle ye in the touris therof.

சீயோனைச் சுற்றி உலாவுங்கள்; அதின் கோபுரங்களைக் கணக்கிடுங்கள்.

13 Sette ye youre hertis in the vertu of him; and departe ye the housis of hym, that ye telle out in an other generacioun.

அவற்றைப்பற்றி அடுத்த தலைமுறைக்கு நீங்கள் சொல்லும்படி, அதின் காவல் அரண்களை நன்றாய் கவனியுங்கள்; கோட்டைப் பட்டணங்களைப் பார்வையிடுங்கள்.

14 For this is God, oure God, in to withouten ende, and in to the world of world; he schal gouerne vs in to worldis.

ஏனெனில் இந்த இறைவனே என்றென்றும் நம்முடைய இறைவன்; மரணம் வரையும் அவரே நமக்கு வழிகாட்டியாய் இருப்பார்.
