Psalms 46
1 To the ouercomere, the song of the sones `of Chore, `for yongthis. Oure God, thou art refuyt, and vertu; helpere in tribulacions, that han founde vs greetly.
Mai marelui muzician, pentru fiii lui Core. O cântare, „Pentru Fecioare.” Dumnezeu este adăpostul și puterea noastră, un ajutor care nu lipsește niciodată în timp de necaz.
2 Therfor we schulen not drede, while the erthe schal be troblid; and the hillis schulen be borun ouer in to the herte of the see.
De aceea nu ne vom teme, chiar dacă s-ar muta pământul și munții ar fi duși în mijlocul mării.
3 The watris of hem sowneden, and weren troblid; hillis weren troblid togidere in the strengthe of hym.
Chiar dacă ar urla apele sale și ar fi în clocot, chiar dacă munții s-ar zgudui cu umflarea lor. (Selah)
4 The feersnesse of flood makith glad the citee of God; the hiyeste God hath halewid his tabernacle.
Este un râu, ale cărui pâraie vor înveseli cetatea lui Dumnezeu, locul sfânt al tabernacolelor celui Preaînalt.
5 God in the myddis therof schal not be moued; God schal helpe it eerli in the grey morewtid.
Dumnezeu este în mijlocul ei; ea nu se va clătina; Dumnezeu o va ajuta, de la revărsatul zorilor.
6 Hethene men weren disturblid togidere, and rewmes weren bowid doun; God yaf his vois, the erthe was moued.
Păgânii s-au înfuriat, împărățiile au fost clătinate; el și-a înălțat vocea, pământul s-a topit.
7 The Lord of vertues is with vs; God of Jacob is oure vptakere.
DOMNUL oștirilor este cu noi; Dumnezeul lui Iacob este locul nostru de scăpare. (Selah)
8 Come ye, and se the werkis of the Lord; whiche wondris he hath set on the erthe.
Veniți, priviți lucrările DOMNULUI, ce pustiiri a făcut pe pământ.
9 He doynge awei batels til to the ende of the lond; schal al to-brese bouwe, and schal breke togidere armuris, and schal brenne scheldis bi fier.
El face războaiele să înceteze până la marginea pământului; el frânge arcul și retează sulița în bucăți; el arde carul în foc.
10 Yyue ye tent, and se ye, that Y am God; Y schal be enhaunsid among hethene men; and Y schal be enhaunsid in erthe.
Liniștiți-vă și cunoașteți că eu sunt Dumnezeu, voi fi înălțat printre păgâni, voi fi înălțat pe pământ.
11 The Lord of vertues is with vs; God of Jacob is oure vptakere.
DOMNUL oștirilor este cu noi; Dumnezeul lui Iacob este locul nostru de scăpare. (Selah)
