Psalms 45
1 To the ouercomere for the lilies, the most loued song of lernyng of the sones of Chore. Myn herte hath teld out a good word; Y seie my workis `to the kyng. Mi tunge is `a penne of a writere; writynge swiftli.
| برای رهبر سرایندگان: در مایۀ «سوسنها». قصیدۀ پسران قورَح. ترانۀ عاشقانه. در حالی که این سرود را برای پادشاه می‌سرایم، کلماتی زیبا فکرم را پر می‌سازند. همچون قلمی در دست شاعری توانا، زبانم آماده سرودن است. |
2 Crist, thou art fairer in schap than the sones of men; grace is spred abrood in thi lippis; therfor God blessid thee withouten ende.
| تو از همهٔ انسانها زیباتری؛ از لبانت نعمت و فیض می‌چکد. خداوند تو را تا ابد متبارک ساخته است. |
3 Be thou gird with thi swerd; on thi hipe most myytili.
| ای دلاور، شمشیر جلال و جبروتت را بر کمر خویش ببند و شکوهمندانه بر اسب خویش سوار شو |
4 Biholde thou in thi schaplynesse and thi fairnesse; come thou forth with prosperite, and regne thou. For treuthe, and myldenesse, and riytfulnesse; and thi riyt hond schal lede forth thee wondurfuli.
| تا از حقیقت و عدالت و تواضع دفاع کنی. قدرت بازوی تو پیروزی بزرگی را نصیب تو می‌گرداند. |
5 Thi scharpe arowis schulen falle in to the hertis of the enemyes of the kyng; puplis schulen be vndur thee.
| تیرهای تیز تو به قلب دشمنانت فرو می‌روند؛ و قومها در برابر تو سقوط می‌کنند. |
6 God, thi seete is in to the world of world; the yerde of thi rewme is a yerde of riyt reulyng, `ethir of equite.
| ای خدا، سلطنت تو تا ابد برقرار است؛ اساس حکومت تو، بر عدل و راستی است. |
7 Thou louedist riytfulnesse, and hatidist wickidnesse; therfor thou, God, thi God, anoyntide thee with the oile of gladnesse, more than thi felowis.
| عدالت را دوست داری و از شرارت بیزاری؛ بنابراین، خدا، یعنی خدای تو، تو را بیش از هر کس دیگر به روغن شادمانی مسح کرده است. |
8 Mirre, and gumme, and cassia, of thi clothis, of the `housis yuer;
| همهٔ لباسهایت به بوی خوش مُر و عود و سلیخه آمیخته است؛ در کاخ عاج تو، نوای موسیقی گوشهایت را نوازش می‌دهد. |
9 of whiche the douytris of kyngis delitiden thee. A queen stood nyy on thi riyt side in clothing ouergildid; cumpassid with dyuersitee.
| ندیمه‌های دربارت، شاهزادگانند؛ در سمت راست تو، ملکه با لباس مزین به طلای خالص، ایستاده است. |
10 Douyter, here thou, and se, and bowe doun thin eere; and foryete thi puple, and the hows of thi fadir.
| ای دختر، به نصیحت من گوش کن. قوم و خویش و زادگاه خود را فراموش کن |
11 And the kyng schal coueyte thi fairnesse; for he is thi Lord God, and thei schulen worschipe hym.
| تا پادشاه شیفتهٔ زیبایی تو شود. او را اطاعت کن، زیرا او سَروَر توست. |
12 And the douytris of Tire in yiftis; alle the riche men of the puple schulen biseche thi cheer.
| اهالی سرزمین صور با هدایا نزد تو خواهند آمد و ثروتمندان قوم تو طالب رضامندی تو خواهند بود. |
13 Al the glorye of that douyter of the kyng is with ynne in goldun hemmes;
| عروسِ پادشاه را نگاه کنید! او در درون کاخش چه زیباست! لباسهایش زربافت می‌باشد. |
14 sche is clothid aboute with dyuersitees. Virgyns schulen be brouyt to the kyng aftir hir; hir neiyboressis schulen be brouyt to thee.
| او را با لباس نقشدارش نزد پادشاه می‌آورند؛ ندیمه‌هایش نیز از پی او می‌آیند. |
15 Thei schulen be brouyt in gladnesse, and ful out ioiyng; thei schulen be brouyt in to the temple of the kyng.
| آنان با خوشی و شادمانی به درون کاخ پادشاه هدایت می‌شوند. |
16 Sones ben borun to thee, for thi fadris; thou schalt ordeyne hem princes on al erthe.
| ای پادشاه، تو صاحب پسران بسیار خواهی شد و آنها نیز مانند اجدادت تاج شاهی را بر سر خواهند نهاد، و تو ایشان را در سراسر جهان به حکمرانی خواهی گماشت. |
17 Lord, thei schulen be myndeful of thi name; in ech generacioun, and in to generacioun. Therfor puplis schulen knouleche to thee withouten ende; and in to the world of world.
| نام تو را در تمام نسلها شهرت خواهم داد، و همهٔ مردم تا ابد سپاسگزار تو خواهند بود. |
