Psalms 45
1 To the ouercomere for the lilies, the most loued song of lernyng of the sones of Chore. Myn herte hath teld out a good word; Y seie my workis `to the kyng. Mi tunge is `a penne of a writere; writynge swiftli.
Dem Musikmeister, nach (der Singweise = Melodie) »Lilien«; von den Korahiten ein Lehrgedicht, ein Liebeslied. Das Herz wallt mir auf von lieblichen Worten:
2 Crist, thou art fairer in schap than the sones of men; grace is spred abrood in thi lippis; therfor God blessid thee withouten ende.
Du bist so schön wie sonst kein Mensch auf Erden: Anmut ist ausgegossen auf deine Lippen; darum hat Gott dich gesegnet für immer.
3 Be thou gird with thi swerd; on thi hipe most myytili.
Gürte dein Schwert dir an die Seite, du Held, dazu deine herrlich schimmernde Wehr!
4 Biholde thou in thi schaplynesse and thi fairnesse; come thou forth with prosperite, and regne thou. For treuthe, and myldenesse, and riytfulnesse; and thi riyt hond schal lede forth thee wondurfuli.
Glück auf! Fahre siegreich einher für die Sache der Wahrheit, zum Schutz des Rechts, und furchtbare Taten lasse dein Arm dich schauen!
5 Thi scharpe arowis schulen falle in to the hertis of the enemyes of the kyng; puplis schulen be vndur thee.
Deine Pfeile sind scharf – Völker sinken unter dir hin –: sie dringen den Feinden des Königs ins Herz.
6 God, thi seete is in to the world of world; the yerde of thi rewme is a yerde of riyt reulyng, `ethir of equite.
Dein Thron, ein Gottesthron, steht immer und ewig ein gerechtes Zepter ist dein Herrscherstab.
7 Thou louedist riytfulnesse, and hatidist wickidnesse; therfor thou, God, thi God, anoyntide thee with the oile of gladnesse, more than thi felowis.
Du liebst Gerechtigkeit und hassest den Frevel; darum hat dich Gott, dein Gott, gesalbt mit Freudenöl wie keinen deinesgleichen.
8 Mirre, and gumme, and cassia, of thi clothis, of the `housis yuer;
Von Myrrhe und Aloe duften, von Kassia alle deine Kleider; aus Elfenbeinpalästen erfreut dich Saitenspiel.
9 of whiche the douytris of kyngis delitiden thee. A queen stood nyy on thi riyt side in clothing ouergildid; cumpassid with dyuersitee.
Königstöchter befinden sich unter deinen Geliebten; die Gattin steht dir zur Rechten im Goldschmuck von Ophir.
10 Douyter, here thou, and se, and bowe doun thin eere; and foryete thi puple, and the hows of thi fadir.
Höre, Tochter, blick her und neige dein Ohr: Vergiß dein Volk und deines Vaters Haus;
11 And the kyng schal coueyte thi fairnesse; for he is thi Lord God, and thei schulen worschipe hym.
und trägt der König nach deiner Schönheit Verlangen er ist ja dein Herr –: so huldige ihm!
12 And the douytris of Tire in yiftis; alle the riche men of the puple schulen biseche thi cheer.
Die Bürgerschaft von Tyrus wird mit Gaben dir nahen, um deine Gunst mühen sich die Reichsten des Volkes.
13 Al the glorye of that douyter of the kyng is with ynne in goldun hemmes;
Eitel Pracht ist die Königstochter drinnen, aus gewirktem Gold besteht ihr Gewand;
14 sche is clothid aboute with dyuersitees. Virgyns schulen be brouyt to the kyng aftir hir; hir neiyboressis schulen be brouyt to thee.
in buntgestickten Kleidern wird sie zum König geführt; Jungfraun, ihr Gefolge, ihre Gespielinnen, werden zu dir geleitet;
15 Thei schulen be brouyt in gladnesse, and ful out ioiyng; thei schulen be brouyt in to the temple of the kyng.
unter Freudenrufen und Jubel werden sie hingeführt, ziehen ein in den Palast des Königs.
16 Sones ben borun to thee, for thi fadris; thou schalt ordeyne hem princes on al erthe.
An deiner Väter Stelle werden deine Söhne treten; du wirst sie zu Fürsten bestellen im ganzen Land.
17 Lord, thei schulen be myndeful of thi name; in ech generacioun, and in to generacioun. Therfor puplis schulen knouleche to thee withouten ende; and in to the world of world.
Ich will ein Gedächtnis stiften deinem Namen bei allen kommenden Geschlechtern; darum werden die Völker dich preisen immer und ewig.
