Psalms 44
1 `To victorie, lernyng to the sones of Chore. God, we herden with oure eeris; oure fadris telden to vs. The werk, which thou wrouytist in the daies of hem; and in elde daies.
Para el director del coro. Un salmo (masquil) de los hijos de Coré. Dios, hemos escuchado con nuestros propios oídos, nuestros antepasados nos han dicho todo lo que tú hiciste en sus épocas, mucho tiempo atrás.
2 Thin hond lost hethene men, and thou plauntidist hem; thou turmentidist puplis, and castidist hem out.
Con tu poder quitaste del camino a las otras naciones, estableciste a nuestros antepasados en el lugar que les pertenecía; derrotaste a las naciones y enviaste a nuestros ancestros a ocupar la tierra que les habías prometido.
3 For the children of Israel weldiden the lond not bi her swerd; and the arm of hem sauyde not hem. But thi riyt hond, and thin arm, and the liytnyng of thi cheer; for thou were plesid in hem.
No conquistaron la tierra con sus espadas; no fue a través de su fuerza que ganaron la victoria, fue por tu fuerza, tu poder, y tu compañía, porque los amabas.
4 Thou art thi silf, my kyng and my God; that sendist helthis to Jacob.
Dios, tú eres mi rey. ¡Nos diste victorias en nombre de Jacob!
5 Bi thee we schulen wyndewe oure enemyes with horn; and in thi name we schulen dispise hem, that risen ayen vs.
Solo a través de ti podemos ahuyentar a nuestros enemigos. Solo en tu nombre podemos derrotar a nuestros oponentes.
6 For Y schal not hope in my bouwe; and my swerd schal not saue me.
No confío en mi arco; no creo que mi espada vaya a salvarme.
7 For thou hast saued vs fro men turmentinge vs; and thou hast schent men hatinge vs.
Tú eres el único que nos salva de nuestros enemigos; acabas con aquellos que nos odian.
8 We schulen be preisid in God al dai; and in thi name we schulen knouleche to thee in to the world.
Dios, te alabamos gozosos todo el día y alabamos tu nombre. (Selah)
9 But now thou hast put vs abac, and hast schent vs; and thou, God, schalt not go out in oure vertues.
Pero ahora nos has rechazado y has apartado tu gracia de nosotros; has abandonado a nuestros ejércitos.
10 Thou hast turned vs awei bihynde aftir oure enemyes; and thei, that hatiden vs, rauyschiden dyuerseli to hem silf.
Nos has hecho correr huyendo de nuestros enemigos, y quienes nos odian se han llevado todo lo que han querido.
11 Thou hast youe vs as scheep of meetis; and among hethene men thou hast scaterid vs.
Nos has entregado como una oveja que va al sacrificio; nos has escatimado en frente de las otras naciones.
12 Thou hast seeld thi puple with out prijs; and multitude was not in the chaungyngis of hem.
Has vendido a tu propio pueblo por el precio de nada, no haciendo ni una sola queja al momento de la venta.
13 Thou hast set vs schenschip to oure neiyboris; mouwyng and scorn to hem that ben in oure cumpas.
Te has burlado de nosotros en frente de nuestros prójimos, somos ridiculizados y burlados por todos los que están a nuestro alrededor.
14 Thou hast set vs into licnesse to hethene me; stiryng of heed among puplis.
Nos has vuelto un chiste para las otras naciones; sacuden con fuerza sus manos ante nosotros.
15 Al dai my schame is ayens me; and the schenschipe of my face hilide me.
Somos humillados el día entero; escondemos nuestras cabezas por la vergüenza,
16 Fro the vois of dispisere, and yuele spekere; fro the face of enemy, and pursuere.
por todos los insultos de las personas que se burlan de nosotros, porque nuestros enemigos vengativos están justo detrás de nosotros.
17 Alle these thingis camen on vs, and we han not foryete thee; and we diden not wickidli in thi testament.
Todo esto nos ha pasado incluso aunque nunca te olvidamos; no hemos sido infieles a las promesas que nos has hecho.
18 And oure herte yede not awei bihynde; and thou hast bowid awei oure pathis fro thi weie.
No nos hemos alejado de ti, ni en pensamientos, ni en acciones.
19 For thou hast maad vs lowe in the place of turment; and the schadewe of deth hilide vs.
Pero tú nos aplastaste, y nos convertiste en guarida de chacales. Nos has cubierto con la oscuridad de la muerte.
20 If we foryaten the name of oure God; and if we helden forth oure hondis to an alien God.
Si hemos olvidado el nombre de nuestro Dios, o hemos adorado a otros dioses,
21 Whether God schal not seke these thingis? for he knowith the hid thingis of herte.
¿No lo sabría Dios, siendo que él conoce los pensamientos de todos?
22 For whi we ben slayn al dai for thee; we ben demed as scheep of sleyng.
Pero por tu culpa nos matan día y noche. Somos considerados solo como ovejas listas para el sacrificio.
23 Lord, rise vp, whi slepist thou? rise vp, and putte not awei in to the ende.
¡Despiértate Señor! ¿Por qué estás durmiendo? ¡Levántate! ¡No nos des la espalda por siempre!
24 Whi turnest thou awei thi face? thou foryetist oure pouert, and oure tribulacioun.
¿Por qué apartas tu vista de nosotros y no de tas cuenta de nuestra miseria y sufrimiento?
25 For oure lijf is maad low in dust; oure wombe is glued togidere in the erthe.
Caemos arruinados al polvo, nuestros cuerpos caen de cara al mugre.
26 Lord, rise vp thou, and helpe vs; and ayenbie vs for thi name.
¡Levántate! ¡Ven y ayúdanos! ¡Sálvanos por la gracia de tu misericordioso amor!
