Psalms 44
1 `To victorie, lernyng to the sones of Chore. God, we herden with oure eeris; oure fadris telden to vs. The werk, which thou wrouytist in the daies of hem; and in elde daies.
Dura buʼaa faarfattootaatiif. Maskiilii Ilmaan Qooraahi. Yaa Waaqi, waan ati bara durii, jabana isaanii keessa hojjette sana, abbootiin keenya nutti himaniiru; nuus gurra keenyaan dhageenyeerra.
2 Thin hond lost hethene men, and thou plauntidist hem; thou turmentidist puplis, and castidist hem out.
Ati harka keetiin saboota ariitee baafte; abbootii keenya immoo ni dhaabde; namoota ni balleessite; abbootii keenya garuu bilisa baafte.
3 For the children of Israel weldiden the lond not bi her swerd; and the arm of hem sauyde not hem. But thi riyt hond, and thin arm, and the liytnyng of thi cheer; for thou were plesid in hem.
Harka kee mirgaatiin, irree keetii fi ifa fuula keetiitiin dhaalan malee isaan goraadee isaaniitiin lafa sana hin dhaalle; yookaan irreen isaanii moʼannoo isaaniif hin fidne; ati isaan jaallatteertaatii.
4 Thou art thi silf, my kyng and my God; that sendist helthis to Jacob.
Ati Mootii koo fi Waaqa koo kan Yaaqoobiif moʼicha ajajjuu dha.
5 Bi thee we schulen wyndewe oure enemyes with horn; and in thi name we schulen dispise hem, that risen ayen vs.
Nu siin diinota keenya duubatti deebifna; maqaa keetiinis amajaajota keenya gad dhidhiinna.
6 For Y schal not hope in my bouwe; and my swerd schal not saue me.
Ani iddaa koo hin amanadhu; goraadeen koos moʼannaa naa hin fidu;
7 For thou hast saued vs fro men turmentinge vs; and thou hast schent men hatinge vs.
ati garuu diinota keenya jalaa nu oolchita; warra nu jibban immoo ni qaanessita.
8 We schulen be preisid in God al dai; and in thi name we schulen knouleche to thee in to the world.
Nu yeroo hundumaa Waaqaan dhaadanna; maqaa kees bara baraan ni galateeffanna.
9 But now thou hast put vs abac, and hast schent vs; and thou, God, schalt not go out in oure vertues.
Amma garuu ati nu gatteerta; gadis nu deebifteerta; ati loltoota keenya wajjin hin baane.
10 Thou hast turned vs awei bihynde aftir oure enemyes; and thei, that hatiden vs, rauyschiden dyuerseli to hem silf.
Akka nu diinota keenya baqannu nu gooteerta; warri nu jibbanis nu saamaniiru.
11 Thou hast youe vs as scheep of meetis; and among hethene men thou hast scaterid vs.
Ati akka hoolota qalamuuf qopheeffamanii nu gooteerta; ormoota keessas nu bittinneessiteerta.
12 Thou hast seeld thi puple with out prijs; and multitude was not in the chaungyngis of hem.
Saba kee gatii xinnaatti gurgurteerta; gurgurtaa isaanii irraas buʼaa hin arganne.
13 Thou hast set vs schenschip to oure neiyboris; mouwyng and scorn to hem that ben in oure cumpas.
Ollaa keenya duratti nama kolfaa, warra naannoo keenyaa birattis waan qoosaatii fi nama tuffii nu gooteerta.
14 Thou hast set vs into licnesse to hethene me; stiryng of heed among puplis.
Ormoota keessatti waan mammaaksaa nu goote; namoonnis mataa nutti raasan.
15 Al dai my schame is ayens me; and the schenschipe of my face hilide me.
Salphinni koo guyyaa guutuu fuula koo dura jira; fuulli koos qaaniidhaan haguugameera.
16 Fro the vois of dispisere, and yuele spekere; fro the face of enemy, and pursuere.
Kunis sababii dubbii warra na tuffataniitii fi warra na arrabsaniitiif, sababii diinaatii fi sababii nama haaloo baafatuutiif taʼe.
17 Alle these thingis camen on vs, and we han not foryete thee; and we diden not wickidli in thi testament.
Kun hundi nutti dhufeera; taʼus nu si hin daganne; yookaan kakuu kee keessatti amanamummaa hin dhabne.
18 And oure herte yede not awei bihynde; and thou hast bowid awei oure pathis fro thi weie.
Garaan keenya dugda duubatti hin deebine; tarkaanfiin keenyas karaa kee irraa hin jalʼanne.
19 For thou hast maad vs lowe in the place of turment; and the schadewe of deth hilide vs.
Ati garuu iddoo waangoonni jiraatanitti nu caccabsite; dukkana hamaadhaan nu haguugde.
20 If we foryaten the name of oure God; and if we helden forth oure hondis to an alien God.
Utuu nu maqaa Waaqa keenyaa irraanfannee, yookaan utuu harka keenya gara waaqa ormaatti balʼifannee jiraannee,
21 Whether God schal not seke these thingis? for he knowith the hid thingis of herte.
silaa Waaqni waan kana bira hin gaʼu turee? Inni icciitii garaa namaa beekaatii.
22 For whi we ben slayn al dai for thee; we ben demed as scheep of sleyng.
Nu siif jennee guyyaa guutuu ni ajjeefamna; akka hoolota qalamuuf jiraniittis lakkaaʼamneerra.
23 Lord, rise vp, whi slepist thou? rise vp, and putte not awei in to the ende.
Yaa Gooftaa dammaqi! Ati maaliif rafta? Kaʼi! Bara baraanis nu hin gatin.
24 Whi turnest thou awei thi face? thou foryetist oure pouert, and oure tribulacioun.
Ati maaliif fuula kee dhokfatta? Maaliifis dhiphinaa fi hacuucamuu keenya irraanfatta?
25 For oure lijf is maad low in dust; oure wombe is glued togidere in the erthe.
Lubbuun keenya biyyootti dabalamteertii; garaan keenyas lafatti maxxaneera.
26 Lord, rise vp thou, and helpe vs; and ayenbie vs for thi name.
Kaʼiitii nu gargaar; sababii jaalala kee kan hin geeddaramneetiifis nu furi.
