Psalms 41
1 For victorie, the song of Dauid. Blessid is he that vndurstondith `on a nedi man and pore; the Lord schal delyuere hym in the yuel dai.
| برای رهبر سرایندگان. مزمور داوود. خوشا به حال کسانی که به فکر فقیران و درماندگان هستند، زیرا هنگامی که خود در زحمت بیفتند خداوند به یاری ایشان خواهد شتافت. |
2 The Lord kepe hym, and quykene hym, and make hym blesful in the lond; and bitake not hym in to the wille of his enemyes.
| او ایشان را حفظ کرده، زنده نگاه خواهد داشت. آنان در دنیا سعادتمند خواهند بود و خدا نخواهد گذاشت که به دست دشمنانشان بیفتند. |
3 The Lord bere help to hym on the bed of his sorewe; thou hast ofte turned al his bed stre in his sijknesse.
| به هنگام بیماری، خداوند ایشان را شفا می‌بخشد و سلامتی از دست رفته را به آنان باز می‌گرداند. |
4 I seide, Lord, haue thou mercy on me; heele thou my soule, for Y synnede ayens thee.
| گفتم: «خداوندا، به تو گناه کرده‌ام؛ بر من رحم کن و مرا شفا ده!» |
5 Myn enemyes seiden yuels to me; Whanne schal he die, and his name schal perische?
| دشمنانم با کینه و نفرت دربارهٔ من می‌گویند: «کی می‌میرد و نامش گم می‌شود؟» |
6 And if he entride for to se, he spak veyn thingis; his herte gaderide wickidnesse to hym silf.
| هنگامی که به عیادتم می‌آیند، وانمود می‌کنند که دوستدارانم هستند، و حال آنکه از من نفرت دارند و قصدشان سخن‌چینی و شایعه‌سازی است. |
7 He yede with out forth; and spak to the same thing. Alle myn enemyes bacbitiden pryuyli ayens me; ayens me thei thouyten yuels to me.
| همهٔ دشمنانم پشت سرم حرف می‌زنند و درباره‌ام بد می‌اندیشند. |
8 Thei ordeineden an yuel word ayens me; Whether he that slepith, schal not leie to, that he rise ayen?
| آنها می‌گویند: «به مرض کشنده‌ای مبتلا شده؛ از بستر بیماری بلند نخواهد شد.» |
9 For whi the man of my pees, in whom Y hopide, he that eet my looues; made greet disseit on me.
| حتی بهترین دوستم نیز که به او اعتماد داشتم و نان و نمک مرا می‌خورد، دشمن من شده است. |
10 But thou, Lord, haue merci on me, and reise me ayen; and Y schal yelde to hem.
| ای خداوند، بر من رحم کن و مرا بر پا بدار تا جواب آنان را بدهم. |
11 In this thing Y knew, that thou woldist me; for myn enemye schal not haue ioye on me.
| یقین دارم که از من راضی هستی و نخواهی گذاشت دشمنانم بر من پیروز شوند. |
12 Forsothe thou hast take me vp for ynnocence; and hast confermed me in thi siyt with outen ende.
| مرا به سبب درستکاریم حفظ خواهی کرد و تا ابد در حضورت نگاه خواهی داشت. |
13 Blessid be the Lord God of Israel, fro the world and in to the world; be it doon, be it doon.
| سپاس بر خداوند، خدای اسرائیل، از حال تا ابد. آمین! آمین! |
