Psalms 37
1 To Dauith. Nile thou sue wickid men; nether loue thou men doynge wickidnesse.
«Ψαλμός του Δαβίδ.» Μη αγανάκτει διά τους πονηρευομένους, μηδέ ζήλευε τους εργάτας της ανομίας.
2 For thei schulen wexe drie swiftli as hey; and thei schulen falle doun soone as the wortis of eerbis.
Διότι ως χόρτος ταχέως θέλουσι κοπή, και ως χλωρά βοτάνη θέλουσι καταμαρανθή.
3 Hope thou in the Lord, and do thou goodnesse; and enhabite thou the lond, and thou schalt be fed with hise richessis.
Έλπιζε επί Κύριον και πράττε το αγαθόν· κατοίκει την γην και νέμου την αλήθειαν·
4 Delite thou in the Lord; and he schal yyue to thee the axyngis of thin herte.
και ευφραίνου εν Κυρίω, και θέλει σοι δώσει τα ζητήματα της καρδίας σου.
5 Schewe thi weie to the Lord; and hope thou in hym, and he schal do.
Ανάθες εις τον Κύριον την οδόν σου και έλπιζε επ' αυτόν, και αυτός θέλει ενεργήσει·
6 And he schal lede out thi riytfulnesse as liyt, and thi doom as myddai;
και θέλει εξάξει ως φως την δικαιοσύνην σου και την κρίσιν σου ως μεσημβρίαν.
7 be thou suget to the Lord, and preye thou hym. Nile thou sue hym, that hath prosperite in his weie; a man doynge vnriytfulnessis.
Αναπαύου επί τον Κύριον και πρόσμενε αυτόν· μη αγανάκτει διά τον κατευοδούμενον εν τη οδώ αυτού, διά άνθρωπον πράττοντα παρανομίας.
8 Ceese thou of ire, and forsake woodnesse; nyle thou sue, that thou do wickidli.
Παύσον από θυμού και άφες την οργήν· μηδόλως αγανάκτει ώστε να πράττης πονηρά.
9 For thei, that doen wickidli, schulen be distried; but thei that suffren the Lord, schulen enerite the lond.
Διότι οι πονηρευόμενοι θέλουσιν εξολοθρευθή· οι δε προσμένοντες τον Κύριον, ούτοι θέλουσι κληρονομήσει την γην.
10 And yit a litil, and a synnere schal not be; and thou schalt seke his place, and schalt not fynde.
Διότι έτι μικρόν και ο ασεβής δεν θέλει υπάρχει· και θέλεις ζητήσει τον τόπον αυτού, και δεν θέλει ευρεθή·
11 But mylde men schulen enerite the lond; and schulen delite in the multitude of pees.
οι πραείς όμως θέλουσι κληρονομήσει την γήν· και θέλουσι κατατρυφά εν πολλή ειρήνη.
12 A synnere schal aspie a riytful man; and he schal gnaste with hise teeth on hym.
Ο ασεβής μηχανάται κατά του δικαίου, και τρίζει κατ' αυτού τους οδόντας αυτού.
13 But the Lord schal scorne the synnere; for he biholdith that his day cometh.
Ο Κύριος θέλει γελάσει επ' αυτώ, επειδή βλέπει ότι έρχεται η ημέρα αυτού.
14 Synners drowen out swerd; thei benten her bouwe. To disseyue a pore man and nedi; to strangle riytful men of herte.
Οι ασεβείς εξέσπασαν ρομφαίαν και ενέτειναν το τόξον αυτών, διά να καταβάλωσι τον πτωχόν και τον πένητα, διά να σφάξωσι τους περιπατούντας εν ευθύτητι.
15 Her swerd entre in to the herte of hem silf; and her bouwe be brokun.
Η ρομφαία αυτών θέλει εμβή εις την καρδίαν αυτών, και τα τόξα αυτών θέλουσι συντριφθή.
16 Betere is a litil thing to a iust man; than many richessis of synneris.
Κάλλιον το ολίγον του δικαίου παρά ο πλούτος πολλών ασεβών.
17 For the armes of synneris schal be al to-brokun; but the Lord confermeth iust men.
Διότι οι βραχίονες των ασεβών θέλουσι συντριφθή· τους δε δικαίους υποστηρίζει ο Κύριος.
18 The Lord knowith the daies of vnwemmed; and her heritage schal be withouten ende.
Γινώσκει ο Κύριος τας ημέρας των αμέμπτων· και η κληρονομία αυτών θέλει είσθαι εις τον αιώνα·
19 Thei schulen not be schent in the yuel tyme, and thei schulen be fillid in the dayes of hungur;
δεν θέλουσι καταισχυνθή εν καιρώ πονηρώ· και εν ημέραις πείνης θέλουσι χορτασθή.
20 for synneris schulen perische. Forsothe anoon as the enemyes of the Lord ben onourid, and enhaunsid; thei failynge schulen faile as smoke.
Οι δε ασεβείς θέλουσιν εξολοθρευθή· και οι εχθροί του Κυρίου, ως το πάχος των αρνίων, θέλουσιν αναλωθή· εις καπνόν θέλουσι διαλυθή.
21 A synnere schal borewe, and schal not paie; but a iust man hath merci, and schal yyue.
Δανείζεται ο ασεβής και δεν αποδίδει, ο δε δίκαιος ελεεί και δίδει.
22 For thei that blessen the Lord schulen enerite the lond; but thei that cursen hym schulen perische.
Διότι οι ευλογημένοι αυτού θέλουσι κληρονομήσει την γήν· οι δε κατηραμένοι αυτού θέλουσιν εξολοθρευθή.
23 The goyng of a man schal be dressid anentis the Lord; and he schal wilne his weie.
Όταν υπό Κυρίου κατευθύνωνται τα διαβήματα του ανθρώπου, η οδός αυτού είναι αρεστή εις αυτόν.
24 Whanne he fallith, he schal not be hurtlid doun; for the Lord vndursettith his hond.
Εάν πέση, δεν θέλει συντριφθή· διότι ο Κύριος υποστηρίζει την χείρα αυτού.
25 I was yongere, and sotheli Y wexide eld, and Y siy not a iust man forsakun; nethir his seed sekynge breed.
Νέος ήμην και ήδη εγήρασα, και δεν είδον δίκαιον εγκαταλελειμμένον ουδέ το σπέρμα αυτού ζητούν άρτον.
26 Al dai he hath merci, and leeneth; and his seed schal be in blessyng.
Όλην την ημέραν ελεεί και δανείζει, και το σπέρμα αυτού είναι εις ευλογίαν.
27 Bouwe thou awei fro yuel, and do good; and dwelle thou in to the world of world.
Έκκλινον από του κακού και πράττε το αγαθόν, και θέλεις διαμένει εις τον αιώνα.
28 For the Lord loueth doom, and schal not forsake hise seyntis; thei schulen be kept with outen ende. Vniust men schulen be punyschid; and the seed of wickid men schal perische.
Διότι ο Κύριος αγαπά κρίσιν, και δεν εγκαταλείπει τους οσίους αυτού· εις τον αιώνα θέλουσι διαφυλαχθή· το δε σπέρμα των ασεβών θέλει εξολοθρευθή.
29 But iust men schulen enerite the lond; and schulen enabite theronne in to the world of world.
Οι δίκαιοι θέλουσι κληρονομήσει την γην, και επ' αυτής θέλουσι κατοικεί εις τον αιώνα.
30 The mouth of a iust man schal bithenke wisdom; and his tunge schal speke doom.
Το στόμα του δικαίου μελετά σοφίαν, και η γλώσσα αυτού λαλεί κρίσιν.
31 The lawe of his God is in his herte; and hise steppis schulen not be disseyued.
Ο νόμος του Θεού αυτού είναι εν τη καρδία αυτού· τα διαβήματα αυτού δεν θέλουσιν ολισθήσει.
32 A synnere biholdith a iust man; and sekith to sle hym.
Κατασκοπεύει ο αμαρτωλός τον δίκαιον και ζητεί να θανατώση αυτόν.
33 But the Lord schal not forsake hym in hise hondis; nethir schal dampne hym, whanne it schal be demed ayens hym.
Ο Κύριος δεν θέλει αφήσει αυτόν εις τας χείρας αυτού, ουδέ θέλει καταδικάσει αυτόν όταν κρίνη αυτόν.
34 Abide thou the Lord, and kepe thou his weie, and he schal enhaunse thee, that bi eritage thou take the lond; whanne synneris schulen perische, thou schalt se.
Πρόσμενε τον Κύριον και φύλαττε την οδόν αυτού, και θέλει σε υψώσει διά να κληρονομήσης την γήν· όταν εξολοθρευθώσιν οι ασεβείς, θέλεις ιδεί.
35 I siy a wickid man enhaunsid aboue; and reisid vp as the cedris of Liban.
Είδον τον ασεβή υπερυψούμενον και εξηπλωμένον ως την χλωράν δάφνην·
36 And Y passide, and lo! he was not; Y souyte hym, and his place is not foundun.
αλλ' ηφανίσθη· και ιδού, δεν υπήρχε· και εζήτησα αυτόν, και δεν ευρέθη.
37 Kepe thou innocence, and se equite; for tho ben relikis to a pesible man.
Παρατήρει τον άκακον και βλέπε τον ευθύν, ότι εις τον ειρηνικόν άνθρωπον θέλει είσθαι εγκατάλειμμα·
38 Forsothe vniust men schulen perische; the relifs of wickid men schulen perische togidere.
οι δε παραβάται θέλουσιν όλως εξολοθρευθή· των ασεβών το εγκατάλειμμα θέλει αποκοπή.
39 But the helthe of iust men is of the Lord; and he is her defendere in the tyme of tribulacioun.
Των δικαίων όμως η σωτηρία είναι παρά Κυρίου· αυτός είναι η δύναμις αυτών εν καιρώ θλίψεως.
40 And the Lord schal helpe hem, and schal make hem fre, and he schal delyuere hem fro synneris; and he schal saue hem, for thei hopiden in hym.
Και θέλει βοηθήσει αυτούς ο Κύριος, και ελευθερώσει αυτούς· θέλει ελευθερώσει αυτούς από ασεβών και σώσει αυτούς· διότι ήλπισαν επ' αυτόν.
