Psalms 34
1 To Dauid, whanne he chaungide his mouth bifor Abymalech, and he `droof out Dauid, `and he yede forth. I schal blesse the Lord in al tyme; euere his heriyng is in my mouth.
[Псалом] Давидів, коли він вдавав із себе божевільного перед Авімелехом, був вигнаний від нього й пішов. Благословлятиму Господа повсякчасно, хвала Йому завжди в моїх устах.
2 Mi soule schal be preisid in the Lord; mylde men here, and be glad.
Душа моя хвалитиметься Господом; нехай почують смиренні й зрадіють.
3 Magnyfie ye the Lord with me; and enhaunse we his name into it silf.
Величайте Господа зі мною; звеличуймо разом ім’я Його!
4 I souyte the Lord, and he herde me; and he delyueride me fro alle my tribulaciouns.
Я шукав Господа, і Він відповів мені й від усіх жахів моїх визволив мене.
5 Neiye ye to him, and be ye liytned; and youre faces schulen not be schent.
Хто погляд свій звертав на Нього, ті засяяли [від радості], обличчя їхні не вкриються ганьбою.
6 This pore man criede, and the Lord herde hym; and sauyde hym fro alle hise tribulaciouns.
Цей пригноблений кликав, і Господь почув і від усіх скорбот врятував його.
7 The aungel of the Lord sendith in the cumpas of men dredynge hym; and he schal delyuere hem.
Ангел Господній стає табором довкола тих, хто боїться Його, і визволяє їх.
8 Taaste ye, and se, for the Lord is swete; blessid is the man, that hopith in hym.
Скоштуйте й побачте, що добрий Господь! Блаженний той, хто надію на Нього покладає!
9 Alle ye hooli men of the Lord, drede hym; for no nedynesse is to men dredynge hym.
Бійтеся Господа, святі Його, адже немає нестатку ні в чому у тих, хто боїться Його.
10 Riche men weren nedi, and weren hungri; but men that seken the Lord schulen not faile of al good.
Молоді леви терплять нестачу й голодують, а ті, хто Господа шукає, у жодному добрі нестатку не відчувають.
11 Come, ye sones, here ye me; Y schal teche you the drede of the Lord.
Приходьте, нащадки, послухайте мене, я навчу вас боятися Господа.
12 Who is a man, that wole lijf; loueth to se good daies?
Той, хто бажає насолоджуватися життям, хто хотів би бачити добро в [усі] дні,
13 Forbede thi tunge fro yuel; and thi lippis speke not gile.
стримуй язик свій від зла й вуста свої від того, щоб говорити підступне.
14 Turne thou awei fro yuel, and do good; seke thou pees, and perfitli sue thou it.
Ухиляйся від зла й чини добро, шукай миру й прагни його.
15 The iyen of the Lord ben on iust men; and hise eeren ben to her preiers.
Очі Господа – на праведних, і вуха Його до зойку їхнього [прихилені].
16 But the cheer of the Lord is on men doynge yuels; that he leese the mynde of hem fro erthe.
Обличчя Господа – проти тих, хто чинить зло, щоб викорінити з землі пам’ять про них.
17 Just men cryeden, and the Lord herde hem; and delyueride hem fro alle her tribulaciouns.
Кличуть [праведні], і Господь чує й від усіх скорбот їх визволяє.
18 The Lord is nyy hem that ben of troblid herte; and he schal saue meke men in spirit.
Близький Господь до [людей] зі зламаним серцем, і тих, у кого дух розбитий, Він рятує.
19 Many tribulaciouns ben of iust men; and the Lord schal delyuere hem fro alle these.
Багато лих у праведного, та від усіх них врятує його Господь.
20 The Lord kepith alle the boonys of hem; oon of tho schal not be brokun.
Береже Він усі кістки його, жодна з них не буде зламана.
21 The deth of synneris is werst; and thei that haten a iust man schulen trespasse.
Зло приведе до смерті нечестивого, і ті, хто ненавидить праведника, будуть засуджені.
22 The Lord schal ayenbie the soulis of hise seruauntis; and alle, that hopen in him, schulen not trespasse.
Визволяє Господь душі слуг Своїх, і не буде засуджений жоден із тих, хто надію на Нього покладає.
