Psalms 33
1 Ye iust men, haue fulli ioye in the Lord; presyng togidere bicometh riytful men.
Fröjder eder af Herranom, I rättfärdige; de fromme skola prise honom härliga.
2 Knouleche ye to the Lord in an harpe; synge ye to hym in a sautre of ten strengis.
Tacker Herranom med harpor; och lofsjunger honom på psaltare af tio stränger.
3 Synge ye to hym a newe song; seie ye wel salm to hym in criyng.
Sjunger honom en ny viso; sjunger väl på strängaspel med klingande ljud.
4 For the word of the Lord is riytful; and alle hise werkis ben in feithfulnesse.
Ty Herrans ord är sannfärdigt; och hvad han lofvar, det håller han visserliga.
5 He loueth merci and doom; the erthe is ful of the merci of the Lord.
Han älskar rättfärdighet och dom; jorden är full af Herrans godhet.
6 Heuenes ben maad stidfast bi the word of the Lord; and `al the vertu of tho bi the spirit of his mouth.
Himmelen är gjord genom Herrans ord, och all hans här genom hans muns anda.
7 And he gaderith togidere the watris of the see as in a bowge; and settith depe watris in tresours.
Han håller vattnet i hafvet tillsammans, såsom uti en lägel; och lägger djupen i det fördolda.
8 Al erthe drede the Lord; sotheli alle men enhabitynge the world ben mouyd of hym.
All verlden frukte Herran; honom rädes allt det som på jordene bor.
9 For he seide, and thingis weren maad; he comaundide, and thingis weren maad of nouyt.
Ty om han säger, så sker det; om han bjuder, så är det gjordt.
10 The Lord distrieth the counsels of folkis, forsothe he repreueth the thouytis of puplis; and he repreueth the counsels of prynces.
Herren gör Hedningarnas råd omintet, och vänder folks tankar.
11 But the counsel of the Lord dwellith with outen ende; the thouytis of his herte dwellen in generacioun and into generacioun.
Men Herrans råd blifver evinnerliga; hans hjertas tankar i evighet.
12 Blessid is the folk, whose Lord is his God; the puple which he chees into eritage to hym silf.
Saligt är det folk, hvilkets Gud Herren är; det folk, som han till ett arf utkorat hafver.
13 The Lord bihelde fro heuene; he siy alle the sones of men.
Herren skådar neder af himmelen, och ser all menniskors barn.
14 Fro his dwellyng place maad redi bifor; he bihelde on alle men, that enhabiten the erthe.
Utaf sinom fasta stol ser han uppå alla de som på jordene bo.
15 Which made syngulerli the soules of hem; which vndurstondith all the werkis of hem.
Han böjer allas deras hjerta; han aktar uppå alla deras gerningar.
16 A kyng is not sauyd bi myche vertu; and a giaunt schal not be sauyd in the mychilnesse of his vertu.
Enom Konung hjelper intet hans stora magt; enom kämpa varder icke hulpet genom hans stora kraft.
17 An hors is false to helthe; forsothe he schal not be sauyd in the habundaunce, `ether plentee, of his vertu.
Hästar hjelpa ock intet, och deras stora starkhet frälsar intet.
18 Lo! the iyen of the Lord ben on men dredynge hym; and in hem that hopen on his merci.
Si, Herrans öga ser uppå dem som frukta honom; de som uppå hans godhet trösta;
19 That he delyuere her soules fro deth; and feede hem in hungur.
Att han skall fria deras själ ifrå dödenom, och föda dem i hårdom tid.
20 Oure soule suffreth the Lord; for he is oure helpere and defendere.
Vår själ väntar efter Herranom; han är vår hjelp och sköld.
21 For oure herte schal be glad in him; and we schulen haue hope in his hooli name.
Ty vårt hjerta gläder sig af honom, och vi hoppes på hans helga Namn.
22 Lord, thi merci be maad on vs; as we hopiden in thee.
Din godhet, Herre, vare öfver oss, såsom vi på dig förtröste.
