Psalms 33
1 Ye iust men, haue fulli ioye in the Lord; presyng togidere bicometh riytful men.
¡Que los rectos griten de alegría! ¡Que te adoren los que hacen el bien!
2 Knouleche ye to the Lord in an harpe; synge ye to hym in a sautre of ten strengis.
Alaba al Señor con Lira, toca música para él con el decacordio.
3 Synge ye to hym a newe song; seie ye wel salm to hym in criyng.
Cántale nueva canción; toca bien tus instrumentos y grita de alegría.
4 For the word of the Lord is riytful; and alle hise werkis ben in feithfulnesse.
Porque la palabra del Señor es verdadera, y él merece toda la confianza en lo que hace.
5 He loueth merci and doom; the erthe is ful of the merci of the Lord.
Él ama todo lo bueno y lo correcto; la tierra está llena del amor inefable del Señor.
6 Heuenes ben maad stidfast bi the word of the Lord; and `al the vertu of tho bi the spirit of his mouth.
El Señor habló y los cielos fueron hechos. Su boca sopló, y todas las estrellas existieron.
7 And he gaderith togidere the watris of the see as in a bowge; and settith depe watris in tresours.
Reúne las aguas de los mares, mantiene almacenadas las profundidades del océano.
8 Al erthe drede the Lord; sotheli alle men enhabitynge the world ben mouyd of hym.
Reverencie toda la tierra al Señor; que todos los habitantes de la tierra se maravillen con su presencia.
9 For he seide, and thingis weren maad; he comaundide, and thingis weren maad of nouyt.
Porque él habló, y el mundo vino a la existencia; dio la orden, y fue creado.
10 The Lord distrieth the counsels of folkis, forsothe he repreueth the thouytis of puplis; and he repreueth the counsels of prynces.
El Señor frustra los planes de las naciones y de los pueblos.
11 But the counsel of the Lord dwellith with outen ende; the thouytis of his herte dwellen in generacioun and into generacioun.
Pero el plan del Señor permanece para siempre. Sus propósitos perduran a través de las generaciones.
12 Blessid is the folk, whose Lord is his God; the puple which he chees into eritage to hym silf.
Feliz es la nación cuyo Dios es el Señor, el pueblo que ha escogido como enteramente suyo.
13 The Lord bihelde fro heuene; he siy alle the sones of men.
El Señor mira desde los cielos y ve toda la humanidad,
14 Fro his dwellyng place maad redi bifor; he bihelde on alle men, that enhabiten the erthe.
desde su trono él ve a todos los que habitan en la tierra.
15 Which made syngulerli the soules of hem; which vndurstondith all the werkis of hem.
Él creó sus mentes, y reconoce todo lo que hacen.
16 A kyng is not sauyd bi myche vertu; and a giaunt schal not be sauyd in the mychilnesse of his vertu.
Ni el más grande ejército puede salvar a un rey; ni la fuerza más poderosa puede salvar a un guerrero.
17 An hors is false to helthe; forsothe he schal not be sauyd in the habundaunce, `ether plentee, of his vertu.
No te engañes: un caballo de guerra no puede darte la victoria, ni su increíble fuerza podrá salvarte.
18 Lo! the iyen of the Lord ben on men dredynge hym; and in hem that hopen on his merci.
El Señor cuida de quienes lo siguen con reverencia, de los que depositan su esperanza en su amor inagotable,
19 That he delyuere her soules fro deth; and feede hem in hungur.
para que los salve de la muerte y para que los mantenga vivos cuando el hambre ataque.
20 Oure soule suffreth the Lord; for he is oure helpere and defendere.
Ponemos nuestra confianza en el Señor. Él es nuestra ayuda y nuestro defensor.
21 For oure herte schal be glad in him; and we schulen haue hope in his hooli name.
Nuestros corazones están llenos de alegría, porque confiamos en su carácter santo.
22 Lord, thi merci be maad on vs; as we hopiden in thee.
Que tu gran amor descanse sobre nosotros mientras esperamos en ti.
