Psalms 33
1 Ye iust men, haue fulli ioye in the Lord; presyng togidere bicometh riytful men.
Cantai ao SENHOR, vós [que sois] justos; aos corretos convém louvar.
2 Knouleche ye to the Lord in an harpe; synge ye to hym in a sautre of ten strengis.
Louvai ao SENHOR com harpa; cantai a ele com alaúde [e] instrumento de dez cordas.
3 Synge ye to hym a newe song; seie ye wel salm to hym in criyng.
Cantai-lhe uma canção nova; tocai [instrumento] bem com alegria.
4 For the word of the Lord is riytful; and alle hise werkis ben in feithfulnesse.
Porque a palavra do SENHOR é correta; e todas suas obras [são] fiéis.
5 He loueth merci and doom; the erthe is ful of the merci of the Lord.
Ele ama a justiça e o juízo; a terra está cheia da bondade do SENHOR.
6 Heuenes ben maad stidfast bi the word of the Lord; and `al the vertu of tho bi the spirit of his mouth.
Pala palavra do SENHOR foram feitos os céus; e todo o seu exército [foi feito] pelo sopro de sua boca.
7 And he gaderith togidere the watris of the see as in a bowge; and settith depe watris in tresours.
Ele junta as águas do mar como se estivessem empilhadas; aos abismos ele põe como depósitos de tesouros.
8 Al erthe drede the Lord; sotheli alle men enhabitynge the world ben mouyd of hym.
Toda a terra, tenha temor ao SENHOR; todos os moradores do mundo prestem reverência a ele.
9 For he seide, and thingis weren maad; he comaundide, and thingis weren maad of nouyt.
Porque ele falou, [e logo] se fez; ele mandou, [e logo] apareceu.
10 The Lord distrieth the counsels of folkis, forsothe he repreueth the thouytis of puplis; and he repreueth the counsels of prynces.
O SENHOR desfez a intenção das nações; ele destruiu os planos dos povos.
11 But the counsel of the Lord dwellith with outen ende; the thouytis of his herte dwellen in generacioun and into generacioun.
O conselho do SENHOR permanece para sempre; as intenções de seu coração [continuam] de geração após geração.
12 Blessid is the folk, whose Lord is his God; the puple which he chees into eritage to hym silf.
Bem-aventurada [é] a nação em que seu Deus é o SENHOR; o povo que ele escolheu para si por herança.
13 The Lord bihelde fro heuene; he siy alle the sones of men.
O SENHOR olha desde os céus; ele vê a todos os filhos dos homens.
14 Fro his dwellyng place maad redi bifor; he bihelde on alle men, that enhabiten the erthe.
Desde sua firme morada ele observa a todos os moradores da terra.
15 Which made syngulerli the soules of hem; which vndurstondith all the werkis of hem.
Ele forma o coração de todos eles; ele avalia todas as obras deles.
16 A kyng is not sauyd bi myche vertu; and a giaunt schal not be sauyd in the mychilnesse of his vertu.
O rei não se salva pela grandeza de [seu] exército, nem o valente escapa do perigo pela [sua] muita força.
17 An hors is false to helthe; forsothe he schal not be sauyd in the habundaunce, `ether plentee, of his vertu.
O cavalo é falho como segurança, com sua grande força não livra do perigo.
18 Lo! the iyen of the Lord ben on men dredynge hym; and in hem that hopen on his merci.
Eis que os olhos do SENHOR [estão] sobre aqueles que o temem, sobre os que esperam pela sua bondade.
19 That he delyuere her soules fro deth; and feede hem in hungur.
Para livrar a alma deles da morte, e para os manter vivos durante a fome.
20 Oure soule suffreth the Lord; for he is oure helpere and defendere.
Nossa alma espera no SENHOR; ele [é] nossa socorro e nosso escudo.
21 For oure herte schal be glad in him; and we schulen haue hope in his hooli name.
Porque nele nosso coração se alegra, porque confiamos no nome de sua santidade.
22 Lord, thi merci be maad on vs; as we hopiden in thee.
Que tua bondade, SENOR, esteja sobre nós, assim como nós esperamos em ti.
