< Psalms 29 >
1 The salm, ethir song of Dauid. Ye sones of God, brynge to the Lord; brynge ye to the Lord the sones of rammes.
A Psalm by David. Ascribe to the LORD, you sons of the mighty, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
2 Brynge ye to the Lord glorie and onour; brynge ye to the Lord glorie to his name; herie ye the Lord in his hooli large place.
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to his name. Worship the LORD in holy array.
3 The vois of the Lord on watris, God of mageste thundride; the Lord on many watris.
The LORD’s voice is on the waters. The God of glory thunders, even the LORD on many waters.
4 The vois of the Lord in vertu; the vois of the Lord in greet doyng.
The LORD’s voice is powerful. The LORD’s voice is full of majesty.
5 The vois of the Lord brekynge cedris; and the Lord schal breke the cedris of the Liban.
The LORD’s voice breaks the cedars. Yes, the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
6 And he schal al to-breke hem to dust as a calf of the Liban; and the derling was as the sone of an vnycorn.
He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young, wild ox.
7 The vois of the Lord departynge the flawme of fier;
The LORD’s voice strikes with flashes of lightning.
8 the vois of the Lord schakynge desert; and the Lord schal stire togidere the desert of Cades.
The LORD’s voice shakes the wilderness. The LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 The vois of the Lord makynge redi hertis, and he schal schewe thicke thingis; and in his temple alle men schulen seie glorie.
The LORD’s voice makes the deer calve, and strips the forests bare. In his temple everything says, “Glory!”
10 The Lord makith to enhabite the greet flood; and the Lord schal sitte kyng with outen ende.
The LORD sat enthroned at the Flood. Yes, the LORD sits as King forever.
11 The Lord schal yyue vertu to his puple; the Lord schal blesse his puple in pees.
The LORD will give strength to his people. The LORD will bless his people with peace.
