Psalms 24

1 The song of Dauid. The erthe and the fulnesse therof is `the Lordis; the world, and alle that dwellen therynne `is the Lordis.

Psalam. Davidov. Jahvina je zemlja i sve na njoj, svijet i svi koji na njemu žive.

2 For he foundide it on the sees; and made it redi on floodis.

On ga na morima utemelji i na rijekama učvrsti.

3 Who schal stie in to the hil of the Lord; ethir who schal stonde in the hooli place of hym?

Tko će uzići na Goru Jahvinu, tko će stajati na svetom mjestu njegovu?

4 The innocent in hondis, and in cleene herte; whiche took not his soule in veyn, nether swoor in gile to his neiybore.

Onaj u koga su ruke čiste i srce nedužno: duša mu se ne predaje ispraznosti, i ne kune se varavo.

5 `This man schal take blessyng of the Lord; and mercy of God his helthe.

On blagoslov prima od Jahve i nagradu od Boga, Spasitelja svoga.

6 This is the generacioun of men sekynge hym; of men sekynge the face of God of Jacob.

Takav je naraštaj onih koji traže njega, koji traže lice Boga Jakovljeva.

7 Ye princes, take vp youre yatis, and ye euerelastynge yatis, be reisid; and the kyng of glorie schal entre.

“Podignite, vrata, nadvratnike svoje, dižite se, dveri vječne, da uniđe Kralj slave!”

8 Who is this kyng of glorie? the Lord strong and myyti, the Lord myyti in batel.

“Tko je taj Kralj slave?” “Jahve silan i junačan, Jahve silan u boju!”

9 Ye princes, take vp youre yatis, and ye euerlastynge yatis, be reisid; and the kyng of glorie schal entre.

“Podignite, vrata, nadvratnike svoje dižite se, dveri vječne, da uniđe Kralj slave!”

10 Who is this kyng of glorie? the Lord of vertues, he is the kyng of glorie.

“Tko je taj Kralj slave?” “Jahve nad Vojskama - on je Kralj slave!”
