Psalms 22
1 To ouercome, for `the morewtid hynd; the salm of Dauid. God, my God, biholde thou on me, whi hast thou forsake me? the wordis of my trespassis ben fer fro myn helthe.
Au chef des chantres. D’Après l’Ayyélet Hachahar. Psaume de David. Mon Dieu, mon Dieu, pourquoi m’as-tu abandonné, loin de me porter secours, d’entendre mes paroles suppliantes?
2 Mi God, Y schal crye bi dai, and thou schalt not here; and bi nyyt, and not to vnwisdom to me.
Mon Dieu, j’appelle de jour et tu ne réponds pas, de nuit, et il n’est pas de trêve pour moi.
3 Forsothe thou, the preisyng of Israel, dwellist in holynesse;
Tu es pourtant le Saint, trônant au milieu des louanges d’Israël.
4 oure fadris hopiden in thee, thei hopiden, and thou delyueridist hem.
En toi nos pères ont eu confiance, ils ont eu confiance, et tu les as sauvés.
5 Thei crieden to thee, and thei weren maad saaf; thei hopiden in thee, and thei weren not schent.
Ils ont crié vers toi et ont été délivrés; ils ont espéré en toi et n’ont pas été déçus.
6 But Y am a worm, and not man; the schenschip of men, and the outcastyng of the puple.
Moi, je suis un vermisseau, et non un homme, l’opprobre des gens, objet de mépris pour le peuple.
7 Alle men seynge me scorneden me; thei spaken with lippis, and stiriden the heed.
Tous ceux qui me voient se moquent de moi, grimacent des lèvres, hochent la tête.
8 He hopide in the Lord, delyuere he hym; make he hym saaf, for he wole hym.
"Qu’il s’en remette à l’Eternel! Que celui-ci le sauve, qu’il l’arrache du danger, puisqu’il l’aime!"
9 For thou it art that drowist me out of the wombe, thou art myn hope fro the tetis of my modir;
Oui, c’est toi qui m’as tiré des entrailles maternelles, qui m’as fait reposer en sûreté dans le giron de ma mère;
10 in to thee Y am cast forth fro the wombe. Fro the wombe of my modir thou art my God; departe thou not fro me.
entre tes bras j’ai été jeté dès ma naissance, dès le sein de ma mère, tu as été mon Dieu.
11 For tribulacioun is next; for noon is that helpith.
Ne t’éloigne pas de moi car l’angoisse est proche, et nul n’est là pour m’aider.
12 Many calues cumpassiden me; fatte bolis bisegiden me.
Des taureaux nombreux m’environnent, des bêtes puissantes de Basan m’assiègent.
13 Thei openyden her mouth on me; as doith a lioun rauyschynge and rorynge.
Ils ouvrent contre moi leur gueule, tel un lion qui déchire et qui rugit.
14 I am sched out as watir; and alle my boonys ben scaterid. Myn herte is maad, as wex fletynge abrood; in the myddis of my wombe.
Je suis comme l’eau qu’on répand, tous mes membres se disloquent; mon cœur est comme de la cire, qui fondrait au milieu de mes entrailles.
15 Mi vertu driede as a tiyl stoon, and my tunge cleuede to my chekis; and thou hast brouyt forth me in to the dust of deth.
Ma sève est desséchée comme un tesson, ma langue est collée à mon palais; tu m’étends dans la poussière de la mort.
16 For many doggis cumpassiden me; the counsel of wickid men bisegide me. Thei delueden myn hondis and my feet;
Car des chiens m’enveloppent, la bande des méchants fait cercle autour de moi; comme le lion ils meurtrissent mes mains et mes pieds.
17 thei noumbriden alle my boonys. Sotheli thei lokiden, and bihelden me;
Je pourrais compter tous mes os; eux, ils me toisent et se repaissent de ma vue.
18 thei departiden my clothis to hem silf, and thei senten lot on my cloth.
Ils se partagent mes habits, ils tirent au sort mes vêtements.
19 But thou, Lord, delaie not thin help fro me; biholde thou to my defence.
Mais toi, ô Seigneur, ne t’éloigne pas; toi, qui es ma force, viens vite à mon secours!
20 God, delyuere thou my lijf fro swerd; and delyuere thou myn oon aloone fro the hond of the dogge.
Sauve mon âme du glaive, ma vie de la fureur des chiens;
21 Make thou me saaf fro the mouth of a lioun; and my mekenesse fro the hornes of vnycornes.
arrache-moi de la gueule du lion, protège-moi contre les cornes des buffles.
22 I schal telle thi name to my britheren; Y schal preise thee in the myddis of the chirche.
Je proclamerai ton nom devant mes frères, au milieu de l’assemblée, je te louerai.
23 Ye that dreden the Lord, herie hym; alle the seed of Jacob, glorifie ye hym.
"Adorateurs de l’Eternel, louez-le vous tous, descendants de Jacob, honorez-le; révérez-le, vous tous, postérité d’Israël!
24 Al the seed of Israel drede hym; for he forsook not, nethir dispiside the preier of a pore man. Nethir he turnede awei his face fro me; and whanne Y criede to hym, he herde me.
Car il n’a point dédaigné, il n’a point méprisé la misère du malheureux; il n’a pas caché de lui son visage, ni manqué de l’entendre quand il implorait!"
25 Mi preisyng is at thee in a greet chirche; Y schal yelde my vowis in the siyt of men dredynge hym.
C’Est toi dont je célébrerai les louanges dans la grande assemblée, j’accomplirai mes vœux devant ceux qui te craignent.
26 Pore men schulen ete, and schulen be fillid, and thei schulen herie the Lord, that seken hym; the hertis of hem schulen lyue in to the world of world.
Les humbles mangeront et seront rassasiés, les adorateurs de l’Eternel le loueront. Que votre cœur renaisse à la vie pour toujours!
27 Alle the endis of erthe schulen bithenke; and schulen be conuertid to the Lord. And alle the meynees of hethene men; schulen worschipe in his siyt.
Les confins de la terre se souviendront et reviendront au Seigneur, toutes les familles des peuples se prosterneront devant lui.
28 For the rewme is the Lordis; and he schal be Lord of hethene men.
Car à l’Eternel appartient la royauté, il domine sur toutes les nations.
29 Alle the fatte men of erthe eeten and worschipiden; alle men, that goen doun in to erthe, schulen falle doun in his siyt.
Ils mangeront et adoreront, tous les heureux de la terre; devant lui s’inclineront ceux qui descendent dans la poussière, incapables de sustenter leur vie.
30 And my soule schal lyue to hym; and my seed schal serue him.
La postérité lui vouera un culte; on parlera du Seigneur aux âges à venir.
31 A generacioun to comyng schal be teld to the Lord; and heuenes schulen telle his riytfulnesse to the puple that schal be borun, whom the Lord made.
IIs viendront et proclameront sa justice: ils diront au peuple à naître ce qu’il a fait.
