Psalms 19
1 To victorie, the salm of Dauid. Heuenes tellen out the glorie of God; and the firmament tellith the werkis of hise hondis.
Керівнику хору. Псалом Давидів. Небеса проголошують славу Божу, і про діяння рук Його сповіщає небесна твердь.
2 The dai tellith out to the dai a word; and the nyyt schewith kunnyng to the nyyt.
День у день виливають вони мову [свою] й щоночі відкривають знання.
3 No langagis ben, nether wordis; of whiche the voices of hem ben not herd.
Хоча без слів їхня мова і не чути звуків від них,
4 The soun of hem yede out in to al erthe; and the wordis of hem `yeden out in to the endis of the world.
по всій землі розходиться їхній голос, і до краю всесвіту – їхні слова. [У небесах] поставив Він шатро для сонця,
5 In the sunne he hath set his tabernacle; and he as a spouse comynge forth of his chaumbre. He fulli ioyede, as a giaunt, to renne his weie;
і воно виходить [із нього], немов наречений із весільної світлиці, і радіє, наче бігун, що пробігти має [свою] стежину.
6 his goynge out was fro hiyeste heuene. And his goyng ayen was to the hiyeste therof; and noon is that hidith hym silf fro his heet.
З одного краю небес воно виходить, пробігає коло до іншого краю, і ніщо не сховається від його спекоти.
7 The lawe of the Lord is with out wem, and conuertith soulis; the witnessyng of the Lord is feithful, and yyueth wisdom to litle children.
Закон Господа бездоганний, оновлює душу. Одкровення Господні гідні довіри, мудрими роблять простих.
8 The riytfulnessis of the Lord ben riytful, gladdynge hertis; the comaundement of the Lord is cleere, liytnynge iyen.
Настанови Господні справедливі, радують серце. Заповідь Господа промениста, просвітлює очі.
9 The hooli drede of the Lord dwellith in to world of world; the domes of the Lord ben trewe, iustified in to hem silf.
Страх Господній чистий, перебуває повіки. Закони правосуддя Господа істинні, усі вони праведні.
10 Desirable more than gold, and a stoon myche preciouse; and swettere than hony and honycoomb.
Вони бажаніші від золота, навіть від безлічі золота щирого; і солодші вони від меду, меду стільникового.
11 `Forwhi thi seruaunt kepith thoo; myche yeldyng is in tho to be kept.
Тож Твій слуга бережеться ними; за їх дотримання – велика нагорода.
12 Who vndurstondith trespassis? make thou me cleene fro my priuy synnes;
А помилки [свої] – хто їх помітити може? Від неумисних провин очисти мене
13 and of alien synnes spare thi seruaunt. `If the forseid defautis ben not, Lord, of me, than Y schal be with out wem; and Y schal be clensid of the mooste synne.
і від свідомих [гріхів] стримай раба Твого – нехай не панують наді мною. Тоді я буду досконалий і чистий від великого беззаконня.
14 And the spechis of my mouth schulen be, that tho plese; and the thenkynge of myn herte euere in thi siyt. Lord, myn helpere; and myn ayenbiere.
Нехай приємні Тобі будуть слова вуст моїх і роздуми серця мого, Господи, Скеле моя й Відкупителю мій!
