1 To victorie, the salm of Dauid. Heuenes tellen out the glorie of God; and the firmament tellith the werkis of hise hondis.

Dzień dniowi podaje słowo, a noc nocy pokazuje umiejętność,
3 No langagis ben, nether wordis; of whiche the voices of hem ben not herd.
Niemasz języka ani mowy, gdzieby głosu ich słychać nie było.
4 The soun of hem yede out in to al erthe; and the wordis of hem `yeden out in to the endis of the world.
Na wszystkę ziemię wyszedł porządek ich, a na kończyny okręgu ziemi słowa ich; słońcu na nich namiot wystawił.
5 In the sunne he hath set his tabernacle; and he as a spouse comynge forth of his chaumbre. He fulli ioyede, as a giaunt, to renne his weie;
A to jako oblubieniec wychodzi z łożnicy swojej; raduje się jako olbrzym, który ma bieżeć w drogę.
6 his goynge out was fro hiyeste heuene. And his goyng ayen was to the hiyeste therof; and noon is that hidith hym silf fro his heet.
Wychodzi od kończyn niebios, a obchodzi je aż do kończyn ich, a niemasz nic, coby się mogło ukryć przed gorącem jego.
7 The lawe of the Lord is with out wem, and conuertith soulis; the witnessyng of the Lord is feithful, and yyueth wisdom to litle children.
Zakon Pański jest doskonały, nawracający duszę; świadectwo Pańskie wierne, dawające mądrość nieumiejętnemu.
8 The riytfulnessis of the Lord ben riytful, gladdynge hertis; the comaundement of the Lord is cleere, liytnynge iyen.
Przykazania Pańskie są prawe, uweselające serce; przykazanie Pańskie czyste, oświecające oczy.
9 The hooli drede of the Lord dwellith in to world of world; the domes of the Lord ben trewe, iustified in to hem silf.
Bojaźń Pańska czysta, trwająca na wieki; sądy Pańskie są prawdziwe, a przytem i sprawiedliwe;
10 Desirable more than gold, and a stoon myche preciouse; and swettere than hony and honycoomb.
Pożądliwsze nad złoto, i nad wiele najwyborniejszego złota, i słodsze nad miód i nad plastr miodowy.
11 `Forwhi thi seruaunt kepith thoo; myche yeldyng is in tho to be kept.
Sługa też twój bywa oświecony przez nie; a kto ich przestrzega, odnosi zapłatę wielką.
12 Who vndurstondith trespassis? make thou me cleene fro my priuy synnes;
Ale występki któż zrozumie? od tajemnych występków oczyść mię.
13 and of alien synnes spare thi seruaunt. `If the forseid defautis ben not, Lord, of me, than Y schal be with out wem; and Y schal be clensid of the mooste synne.
I od swawolnych zachowaj sługę twego, aby nie panowali nademną; tedy doskonałym będę, a będę oczyszczony od przestępstwa wielkiego.
14 And the spechis of my mouth schulen be, that tho plese; and the thenkynge of myn herte euere in thi siyt. Lord, myn helpere; and myn ayenbiere.
Niechże będą przyjemne słowa ust moich, i rozmyślanie serca mego przed obliczem twojem, Panie, skało moja, i odkupicielu mój!
