Psalms 18
1 To victorie, the word of the Lord to Dauid; which spak the wordis of this song, in the dai in which the Lord delyuerede hym fro the hond of alle hise enemyes, and fro the hond of Saul; and he seide: Lord, my strengthe, Y schal loue thee; the Lord is my stidfastnesse, and my refuyt, and mi deliuerere.
संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. याहवेह के सेवक दावीद की रचना. दावीद ने यह गीत याहवेह के सामने गाया जब याहवेह ने दावीद को उनके शत्रुओं तथा शाऊल के आक्रमण से बचा लिया था. दावीद ने कहा: याहवेह, मेरे सामर्थ्य, मैं आपसे प्रेम करता हूं.
2 Mi God is myn helpere; and Y schal hope in to hym. My defendere, and the horn of myn helthe; and myn vptakere.
याहवेह मेरी चट्टान, मेरा गढ़ और मेरे छुड़ानेवाले हैं; मेरे परमेश्वर, मेरे लिए चट्टान हैं, जिनमें मैं आसरा लेता हूं, वह मेरी ढाल और मेरे उद्धार का सींग, वह मेरा गढ़.
3 I schal preise, and ynwardli clepe the Lord; and Y schal be saaf fro myn enemyes.
मैं दोहाई याहवेह की देता हूं, सिर्फ वही स्तुति के योग्य हैं, और मैं शत्रुओं से छुटकारा पा लेता हूं.
4 The sorewis of deth cumpassiden me; and the strondis of wickidnesse disturbliden me.
मृत्यु की लहरों में घिर चुका था; मुझ पर विध्वंस की तेज धारा का वार हो रहा था.
अधोलोक के तंतुओं ने मुझे उलझा लिया था; मैं मृत्यु के जाल के आमने-सामने आ गया था. (Sheol h7585)
6 In my tribulacioun Y inwardli clepide the Lord; and Y criede to my God. And he herde my vois fro his hooli temple; and my cry in his siyt entride in to hise eeris.
अपनी वेदना में मैंने याहवेह की दोहाई दी; मैंने अपने ही परमेश्वर को पुकारा. अपने मंदिर में उन्होंने मेरी आवाज सुन ली, उनके कानों में मेरा रोना जा पड़ा.
7 The erthe was mouede togidere, and tremblede togidere; the foundementis of hillis weren troblid togidere, and weren moued togidere; for he was wrooth to hem.
पृथ्वी झूलकर कांपने लगी, पहाड़ों की नींव थरथरा उठी; और कांपने लगी. क्योंकि प्रभु क्रुद्ध थे.
8 Smoke stiede in the ire of hym, and fier brente out fro his face; coolis weren kyndlid of hym.
उनके नथुनों से धुआं उठ रहा था; उनके मुख की आग चट करती जा रही थी, उसने कोयलों को दहका रखा था.
9 He bowide doun heuenes, and cam doun; and derknesse was vndur hise feet.
उन्होंने आकाशमंडल को झुकाया और उतर आए; उनके पैरों के नीचे घना अंधकार था.
10 And he stiede on cherubym, and flei; he fley ouer the pennes of wyndis.
वह करूब पर चढ़कर उड़ गए; वह हवा के पंखों पर चढ़कर उड़ गये!
11 And he settide derknesses his hidyng place, his tabernacle `in his cumpas; derk water was in the cloudes of the lowere eir.
उन्होंने अंधकार ओढ़ लिया, वह उनका छाता बन गया, घने-काले वर्षा के मेघ में घिरे हुए.
12 Ful cleer cloudis passiden in his siyt; hail and the coolis of fier.
उनकी उपस्थिति के तेज से मेघ ओलों और बिजलियां के साथ आगे बढ़ रहे थे.
13 And the Lord thundrid fro heuene; and the hiyeste yaf his vois, hail and the coolis of fier `camen doun.
स्वर्ग से याहवेह ने गर्जन की और परम प्रधान ने अपने शब्द सुनाए.
14 And he sente hise arowis, and distriede tho men; he multipliede leytis, and disturblide tho men.
उन्होंने बाण छोड़े और उन्हें बिखरा दिया, बिजलियों ने उनके पैर उखाड़ दिए.
15 And the wellis of watris apperiden; and the foundementis of the erthe weren schewid. Lord, of thi blamyng; of the brething of the spirit of thin ire.
याहवेह की प्रताड़ना से, नथुनों से उनके सांस के झोंके से सागर के जलमार्ग दिखाई देने लगे; संसार की नीवें खुल गईं.
16 He sente fro the hiyeste place, and took me; and he took me fro many watris.
उन्होंने स्वर्ग से हाथ बढ़ाकर मुझे थाम लिया; प्रबल जल प्रवाह से उन्होंने मुझे बाहर निकाल लिया.
17 He delyuerede me fro my strongeste enemyes; and fro hem that hatiden me, fro thei weren coumfortid on me.
उन्होंने मुझे मेरे प्रबल शत्रु से मुक्त किया, उनसे, जिन्हें मुझसे घृणा थी, वे मुझसे कहीं अधिक शक्तिमान थे.
18 Thei camen bifor me in the dai of my turment; and the Lord was maad my defendere.
संकट के दिन उन्होंने मुझ पर आक्रमण कर दिया था, किंतु मेरी सहायता याहवेह में मगन थी.
19 And he ledde out me in to breede; he maad me saaf, for he wolde me.
वह मुझे खुले स्थान पर ले आए; मुझसे अपनी प्रसन्नता के कारण उन्होंने मुझे छुड़ाया है.
20 And the Lord schal yelde to me bi my riytfulnesse; and he schal yelde to me bi the clennesse of myn hondis.
मेरी भलाई के अनुसार ही याहवेह ने मुझे प्रतिफल दिया है; मेरे हाथों की स्वच्छता के अनुसार उन्होंने मुझे ईनाम दिया है.
21 For Y kepte the weies of the Lord; and Y dide not vnfeithfuli fro my God.
मैं याहवेह की नीतियों का पालन करता रहा हूं; मैंने परमेश्वर के विरुद्ध कोई दुराचार नहीं किया है.
22 For alle hise domes ben in my siyt; and Y puttide not awei fro me hise riytfulnessis.
उनकी सारी नियम संहिता मेरे सामने बनी रही; उनके नियमों से मैं कभी भी विचलित नहीं हुआ.
23 And Y schal be vnwemmed with hym; and Y schal kepe me fro my wickidnesse.
मैं उनके सामने निर्दोष बना रहा, दोष भाव मुझसे दूर ही दूर रहा.
24 And the Lord schal yelde to me bi my riytfulnesse; and bi the clennesse of myn hondis in the siyt of hise iyen.
इसलिये याहवेह ने मुझे मेरी भलाई के अनुसार ही प्रतिफल दिया है, उनकी नज़रों में मेरे हाथों की शुद्धता के अनुसार.
25 With the hooli, thou schalt be hooli; and with `a man innocent, thou schalt be innocent.
सच्चे लोगों के प्रति आप स्वयं विश्वासयोग्य साबित होते हैं, निर्दोष व्यक्ति पर आप स्वयं को निर्दोष ही प्रकट करते हैं.
26 And with a chosun man, thou schalt be chosun; and with a weiward man, thou schalt be weiward.
वह, जो निर्मल है, उस पर अपनी निर्मलता प्रकट करते हैं, कुटिल व्यक्ति पर आप अपनी चतुरता प्रगट करते हैं.
27 For thou schalt make saaf a meke puple; and thou schalt make meke the iyen of proude men.
आप विनम्र को सुरक्षा प्रदान करते हैं, किंतु आप नीचा उनको कर देते हैं, जिनकी आंखें अहंकार से चढ़ी होती हैं.
28 For thou, Lord, liytnest my lanterne; my God, liytne thou my derknessis.
याहवेह, आप मेरे दीपक को जलाते रहिये, मेरे परमेश्वर, आप मेरे अंधकार को ज्योतिर्मय कर देते हैं.
29 For bi thee Y schal be delyuered fro temptacioun; and in my God Y schal `go ouer the wal.
जब आप मेरी ओर हैं, तो मैं सेना से टक्कर ले सकता हूं; मेरे परमेश्वर के कारण मैं दीवार तक फांद सकता हूं.
30 Mi God, his weie is vndefoulid, the speches of the Lord ben examyned bi fier; he is defendere of alle men hopynge in hym.
यह वह परमेश्वर हैं, जिनकी नीतियां खरी हैं: ताया हुआ है याहवेह का वचन; अपने सभी शरणागतों के लिए वह ढाल बन जाते हैं.
31 For whi, who is God out takun the Lord? ethir who is God outakun oure God?
क्योंकि याहवेह के अलावा कोई परमेश्वर है? और हमारे परमेश्वर के अलावा कोई चट्टान है?
32 God that hath gird me with vertu; and hath set my weie vnwemmed.
वही परमेश्वर मेरे मजबूत आसरा हैं; वह निर्दोष व्यक्ति को अपने मार्ग पर चलाते हैं.
33 Which made perfit my feet as of hertis; and ordeynynge me on hiye thingis.
उन्हीं ने मेरे पांवों को हिरण के पांवों के समान बना दिया है; ऊंचे स्थानों पर वह मुझे सुरक्षा देते हैं.
34 Which techith myn hondis to batel; and thou hast set myn armys as a brasun bouwe.
वह मेरे हाथों को युद्ध के लिए प्रशिक्षित करते हैं; अब मेरी बांहें कांसे के धनुष को भी इस्तेमाल कर लेती हैं.
35 And thou hast youe to me the kyueryng of thin helthe; and thi riythond hath vptake me. And thi chastisyng amendide me in to the ende; and thilke chastisyng of thee schal teche me.
आपने मुझे उद्धार की ढाल प्रदान की है, आपका दायां हाथ मुझे थामे हुए है; आपकी सौम्यता ने मुझे महिमा प्रदान की है.
36 Thou alargidist my paaces vndur me; and my steppis ben not maad vnstidefast.
मेरे पांवों के लिए आपने चौड़ा रास्ता दिया है, इसमें मेरे पगों के लिए कोई फिसलन नहीं है.
37 Y schal pursue myn enemyes, and Y schal take hem; and Y schal not turne til thei failen.
मैंने अपने शत्रुओं का पीछा कर उन्हें नाश कर दिया है; जब तक वे पूरी तरह नाश न हो गए मैं लौटकर नहीं आया.
38 I schal al to-breke hem, and thei schulen not mowe stonde; thei schulen falle vndur my feet.
मैंने उन्हें ऐसा कुचल दिया कि वे पुनः सिर न उठा सकें; वे तो मेरे पैरों में आ गिरे.
39 And thou hast gird me with vertu to batel; and thou hast `supplauntid, ether disseyued, vndur me men risynge ayens me.
आपने मुझे युद्ध के लिए आवश्यक शक्ति से भर दिया; आपने उन्हें, जो मेरे विरुद्ध उठ खड़े हुए थे, मेरे सामने झुका दिया.
40 And thou hast youe myn enemyes abac to me; and thou hast distried `men hatynge me.
आपने मेरे शत्रुओं को पीठ दिखाकर भागने पर विवश कर दिया, वे मेरे विरोधी थे. मैंने उन्हें नष्ट कर दिया.
41 Thei crieden, and noon was that maad hem saaf; `thei crieden to the Lord, and he herde not hem.
उन्होंने मदद के लिए पुकारा, मगर उनकी रक्षा के लिए कोई भी न आया. उन्होंने याहवेह की भी दोहाई दी, मगर उन्होंने भी उन्हें उत्तर न दिया.
42 And Y schal al to-breke hem, as dust bifor the face of wynd; Y schal do hem awei, as the cley of stretis.
मैंने उन्हें ऐसा कुचला कि वे पवन में उड़ती धूल से हो गए; मैंने उन्हें मार्ग के कीचड़ के समान अपने पैरों से रौंद डाला.
43 Thou schalt delyuere me fro ayenseiyngis of the puple; thou schalt sette me in to the heed of folkis.
आपने मुझे मेरे सजातियों के द्वारा उठाए कलह से छुटकारा दिया है; आपने मुझे सारे राष्ट्रों पर सबसे ऊपर बनाए रखा; अब वे लोग मेरी सेवा कर रहे हैं, जिनसे मैं पूरी तरह अपरिचित हूं.
44 The puple, which Y knewe not, seruede me; in the herynge of eere it obeiede to me.
विदेशी मेरी उपस्थिति में दास की तरह व्यवहार करते आए; जैसे ही उन्हें मेरे विषय में मालूम हुआ, वे मेरे प्रति आज्ञाकारी हो गए.
45 Alien sones lieden to me, alien sones wexiden elde; and crokiden fro thi pathis.
विदेशियों का मनोबल जाता रहा; वे कांपते हुए अपने गढ़ों से बाहर आ गए.
46 The Lord lyueth, and my God be blessid; and the God of myn helthe be enhaunsid.
जीवित हैं याहवेह! धन्य हैं मेरी चट्टान! मेरे छुटकारे की चट्टान, मेरे परमेश्वर प्रतिष्ठित हों!
47 God, that yauest veniaunces to me, and makist suget puplis vndur me; my delyuerere fro my wrathful enemyes.
परमेश्वर, जिन्होंने मुझे प्रतिफल दिया मेरा बदला लिया, और जनताओं को मेरे अधीन कर दिया.
48 And thou schalt enhaunse me fro hem, that risen ayens me; thou schalt delyuere me fro a wickid man.
जो मुझे मेरे शत्रुओं से मुक्त करते हैं, आप ही ने मुझे मेरे शत्रुओं के ऊपर ऊंचा किया है; आप ही ने हिंसक पुरुषों से मेरी रक्षा की है.
49 Therfor, Lord, Y schal knouleche to thee among naciouns; and Y schal seie salm to thi name.
इसलिये, याहवेह, मैं राष्ट्रों के सामने आपकी स्तुति करूंगा; आपके नाम का गुणगान करूंगा.
50 Magnyfiynge the helthis of his kyng; and doynge merci to his crist Dauid, and to his seed til in to the world.
“अपने राजा के लिए वही हैं छुटकारे का खंभा; अपने अभिषिक्त पर दावीद और उनके वंशजों पर, वह हमेशा अपार प्रेम प्रकट करते रहते हैं.”
