Psalms 148
1 Alleluya. Ye of heuenes, herie the Lord; herie ye hym in hiye thingis.
¡Alaben al Señor! ¡Alaben al Señor del cielo! ¡Alábenlo en las alturas!
2 Alle hise aungels, herie ye hym; alle hise vertues, herye ye hym.
¡Alábenle todos sus ángeles! ¡Alábenle todos sus ejércitos celestiales!
3 Sunne and moone, herie ye hym; alle sterris and liyt, herie ye hym.
¡Alábenle el sol y la luna! ¡Alábenle todas las estrellas!
4 Heuenes of heuenes, herie ye hym; and the watris that ben aboue heuenes,
¡Alábenle los cielos y las aguas que están sobre los cielos!
5 herie ye the name of the Lord.
Todos alaben el carácter del Señor, porque él les puso orden en el cielo y por él fueron creados.
6 For he seide, and thingis weren maad; he comaundide, and thingis weren maad of nouyt. He ordeynede tho thingis in to the world, and in to the world of world; he settide a comaundement, and it schal not passe.
Él designó a cada uno en su lugar por siempre y para siempre. Estableció una ley que nunca tendrá fin.
7 Ye of erthe, herie ye the Lord; dragouns, and alle depthis of watris.
Alaben al Señor desde la tierra, y las criaturas de todas las profundidades de los mares,
8 Fier, hail, snow, iys, spiritis of tempestis; that don his word.
Que le alaben los relámpagos, el granizo, la nieve, las nubes, y los vientos tormentosos, así como todos los que obedecen su voz de mando.
9 Mounteyns, and alle litle hillis; trees berynge fruyt, and alle cedris.
Las montañas y las colinas, los árboles frutales y los árboles del bosque,
10 Wielde beestis, and alle tame beestis; serpentis, and fetherid briddis.
los animales y el ganado, los reptiles y las aves silvestres,
11 The kingis of erthe, and alle puplis; the princis, and alle iugis of erthe.
los reyes de la tierra y todos los pueblos; así como los líderes y gobernantes del mundo,
12 Yonge men, and virgyns, elde men with yongere, herie ye the name of the Lord;
los hombres y mujeres jóvenes, los ancianos y los niños,
13 for the name of hym aloone is enhaunsid.
Que todos alaben al Señor y su reputación inigualable. Su gloria sobrepasa todo lo que existe en la tierra y el cielo.
14 His knouleching be on heuene and erthe; and he hath enhaunsid the horn of his puple. An ympne be to alle hise seyntis; to the children of Israel, to a puple neiyynge to hym.
Él le ha dado a su pueblo una fuente de fortaleza, y ha dado honra a sus seguidores fieles, al pueblo de Israel a quien ama. ¡Alaben al Señor!
