Psalms 148
1 Alleluya. Ye of heuenes, herie the Lord; herie ye hym in hiye thingis.
Hallelúja! Dicsérjétek az Örökkévalót az égből, dicsérjétek a magasságban!
2 Alle hise aungels, herie ye hym; alle hise vertues, herye ye hym.
Dicsérjétek mind az ő angyalai, dicsérjétek mind az ő seregei!
3 Sunne and moone, herie ye hym; alle sterris and liyt, herie ye hym.
Dicsérjétek, nap és hold, dicsérjétek mind a világitó csillagok!
4 Heuenes of heuenes, herie ye hym; and the watris that ben aboue heuenes,
Dicsérjétek, egek egei s a vizek, melyek az egeken fölül vannak!
5 herie ye the name of the Lord.
Dicsérjék az Örökkévaló nevét, mert ő parancsolta, s megteremtődtek;
6 For he seide, and thingis weren maad; he comaundide, and thingis weren maad of nouyt. He ordeynede tho thingis in to the world, and in to the world of world; he settide a comaundement, and it schal not passe.
odaállította őket mindenkorra, örökre, törvényt adott, meg nem szeghetőt.
7 Ye of erthe, herie ye the Lord; dragouns, and alle depthis of watris.
Dicsérjétek az Örökkévalót a földről, tengeri szörnyek és mind a mélységek;
8 Fier, hail, snow, iys, spiritis of tempestis; that don his word.
tűz és jégeső, hó és füst, szélvihar, igéjének végezője;
9 Mounteyns, and alle litle hillis; trees berynge fruyt, and alle cedris.
a hegyek és mind a halmok, gyümölcsfa és mind a czédrusfák;
10 Wielde beestis, and alle tame beestis; serpentis, and fetherid briddis.
a vad és minden barom, csúszó-mászó és szárnyas madár;
11 The kingis of erthe, and alle puplis; the princis, and alle iugis of erthe.
föld királyai és mind a nemzetek, vezérek és mind a föld birái.
12 Yonge men, and virgyns, elde men with yongere, herie ye the name of the Lord;
ifjak még hajadonok is, vének fiatalokkal együtt.
13 for the name of hym aloone is enhaunsid.
Dicsérjétek az Örökkévaló nevét, mert magasztos az ő neve egyedül — fensége föld és ég fölött van.
14 His knouleching be on heuene and erthe; and he hath enhaunsid the horn of his puple. An ympne be to alle hise seyntis; to the children of Israel, to a puple neiyynge to hym.
Felemelte népe szarvát, dicséretül mind a jámborainak, Izraél fiainak, a hozzá közelvaló népnek. Hallelúja!
