Psalms 147
1 Alleluya. Herie ye the Lord, for the salm is good; heriyng be myrie, and fair to oure God.
Dumisani iNkosi, ngoba kuhle ukuhlabelela indumiso kuNkulunkulu wethu, ngoba kumnandi, indumiso ifanele.
2 The Lord schal bilde Jerusalem; and schal gadere togidere the scateryngis of Israel.
INkosi iyayakha iJerusalema, iqoqe abahlakaziweyo bakoIsrayeli.
3 Which Lord makith hool men contrit in herte; and byndith togidere the sorewes of hem.
Yelapha abadabukileyo enhliziyweni, ibophe izinsizi zabo.
4 Which noumbrith the multitude of sterris; and clepith names to alle tho.
Ibala inani lezinkanyezi, izibize zonke ngamabizo.
5 Oure Lord is greet, and his vertu is greet; and of his wisdom is no noumbre.
Yinkulu iNkosi yethu, njalo ngeyamandla amakhulu; ukuqedisisa kwayo kakulakunaniswa.
6 The Lord takith vp mylde men; forsothe he makith low synneris `til to the erthe.
INkosi iyaphakamisa abamnene, iyabawisela emhlabathini ababi.
7 Bifore synge ye to the Lord in knoulechyng; seye ye salm to oure God in an harpe.
Hlabelelani eNkosini ngokubonga; lihlabele indumiso kuNkulunkulu wethu ngechacho.
8 Which hilith heuene with cloudis; and makith redi reyn to the erthe. Which bryngith forth hei in hillis; and eerbe to the seruice of men.
Eyembesa amazulu ngamayezi, elungisela umhlaba izulu, ekhulisa utshani ezintabeni,
9 Which yyueth mete to her werk beestis; and to the briddys of crowis clepinge hym.
enika inyamazana ukudla kwazo, amaphuphu ewabayi akhalayo.
10 He schal not haue wille in the strengthe of an hors; nether it schal be wel plesaunt to hym in the leggis of a man.
Kayithokozi ngamandla ebhiza, kayijabuleli imilenze yomuntu.
11 It is wel plesaunt to the Lord on men that dreden hym; and in hem that hopen on his mercy.
INkosi ijabulela abayesabayo, labo abathembela emuseni wayo.
12 Jerusalem, herie thou the Lord; Syon, herie thou thi God.
Babaza iNkosi, Jerusalema. Dumisa uNkulunkulu wakho, Ziyoni.
13 For he hath coumfortid the lockis of thi yatis; he hath blessid thi sones in thee.
Ngoba iqinise imigoqo yamasango akho; ibusise abantwana bakho phakathi kwakho.
14 Which hath set thi coostis pees; and fillith thee with the fatnesse of wheete.
Iyenza ukuthula emingceleni yakho; ikusuthise ngamanono engqoloyi.
15 Which sendith out his speche to the erthe; his word renneth swiftli.
Iyathumela umthetho wayo emhlabeni; ilizwi layo ligijima ngesiqubu esikhulu.
16 Which yyueth snow as wolle; spredith abrood a cloude as aische.
Enika iliqhwa elikhithikileyo njengoboya bezimvu; ihaze ungqwaqwane njengomlotha.
17 He sendith his cristal as mussels; who schal suffre bifore the face of his cooldnesse?
Iyaphosa isiqhotho sayo njengezigaqa; ngubani ongema phambi komqando wayo?
18 He schal sende out his word, and schal melte tho; his spirit schal blowe, and watris schulen flowe.
Iyathumela ilizwi layo, ikuncibilikise; ivunguzise umoya wayo, amanzi ageleze.
19 Which tellith his word to Jacob; and hise riytfulnessis and domes to Israel.
Iyamemezela ilizwi layo kuJakobe, izimiso zayo lezahlulelo zayo kuIsrayeli.
20 He dide not so to ech nacioun; and he schewide not hise domes to hem.
Kayenzanga njalo lakusiphi isizwe; lezahlulelo zayo kazizazi. Dumisani iNkosi!
