Psalms 147
1 Alleluya. Herie ye the Lord, for the salm is good; heriyng be myrie, and fair to oure God.
| הַלְלוּ ־ יָהּ ׀ כִּי־טוֹב זַמְּרָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ כִּי־נָעִים נָאוָה תְהִלָּֽה׃ |
2 The Lord schal bilde Jerusalem; and schal gadere togidere the scateryngis of Israel.
| בּוֹנֵה יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִם יְהֹוָה נִדְחֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל יְכַנֵּֽס׃ |
3 Which Lord makith hool men contrit in herte; and byndith togidere the sorewes of hem.
| הָרֹפֵא לִשְׁבוּרֵי לֵב וּמְחַבֵּשׁ לְעַצְּבוֹתָֽם׃ |
4 Which noumbrith the multitude of sterris; and clepith names to alle tho.
| מוֹנֶה מִסְפָּר לַכּוֹכָבִים לְכֻלָּם שֵׁמוֹת יִקְרָֽא׃ |
5 Oure Lord is greet, and his vertu is greet; and of his wisdom is no noumbre.
| גָּדוֹל אֲדוֹנֵינוּ וְרַב־כֹּחַ לִתְבוּנָתוֹ אֵין מִסְפָּֽר׃ |
6 The Lord takith vp mylde men; forsothe he makith low synneris `til to the erthe.
| מְעוֹדֵד עֲנָוִים יְהֹוָה מַשְׁפִּיל רְשָׁעִים עֲדֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ |
7 Bifore synge ye to the Lord in knoulechyng; seye ye salm to oure God in an harpe.
| עֱנוּ לַֽיהֹוָה בְּתוֹדָה זַמְּרוּ לֵאלֹהֵינוּ בְכִנּֽוֹר׃ |
8 Which hilith heuene with cloudis; and makith redi reyn to the erthe. Which bryngith forth hei in hillis; and eerbe to the seruice of men.
| הַֽמְכַסֶּה שָׁמַיִם ׀ בְּעָבִים הַמֵּכִין לָאָרֶץ מָטָר הַמַּצְמִיחַ הָרִים חָצִֽיר׃ |
9 Which yyueth mete to her werk beestis; and to the briddys of crowis clepinge hym.
| נוֹתֵן לִבְהֵמָה לַחְמָהּ לִבְנֵי עֹרֵב אֲשֶׁר יִקְרָֽאוּ׃ |
10 He schal not haue wille in the strengthe of an hors; nether it schal be wel plesaunt to hym in the leggis of a man.
| לֹא בִגְבוּרַת הַסּוּס יֶחְפָּץ לֹא־בְשׁוֹקֵי הָאִישׁ יִרְצֶֽה׃ |
11 It is wel plesaunt to the Lord on men that dreden hym; and in hem that hopen on his mercy.
| רוֹצֶה יְהֹוָה אֶת־יְרֵאָיו אֶת־הַֽמְיַחֲלִים לְחַסְדּֽוֹ׃ |
12 Jerusalem, herie thou the Lord; Syon, herie thou thi God.
| שַׁבְּחִי יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִם אֶת־יְהֹוָה הַֽלְלִי אֱלֹהַיִךְ צִיּֽוֹן׃ |
13 For he hath coumfortid the lockis of thi yatis; he hath blessid thi sones in thee.
| כִּֽי־חִזַּק בְּרִיחֵי שְׁעָרָיִךְ בֵּרַךְ בָּנַיִךְ בְּקִרְבֵּֽךְ׃ |
14 Which hath set thi coostis pees; and fillith thee with the fatnesse of wheete.
| הַשָּׂם־גְּבוּלֵךְ שָׁלוֹם חֵלֶב חִטִּים יַשְׂבִּיעֵֽךְ׃ |
15 Which sendith out his speche to the erthe; his word renneth swiftli.
| הַשֹּׁלֵחַ אִמְרָתוֹ אָרֶץ עַד־מְהֵרָה יָרוּץ דְּבָרֽוֹ׃ |
16 Which yyueth snow as wolle; spredith abrood a cloude as aische.
| הַנֹּתֵן שֶׁלֶג כַּצָּמֶר כְּפוֹר כָּאֵפֶר יְפַזֵּֽר׃ |
17 He sendith his cristal as mussels; who schal suffre bifore the face of his cooldnesse?
| מַשְׁלִיךְ קַֽרְחוֹ כְפִתִּים לִפְנֵי קָרָתוֹ מִי יַעֲמֹֽד׃ |
18 He schal sende out his word, and schal melte tho; his spirit schal blowe, and watris schulen flowe.
| יִשְׁלַח דְּבָרוֹ וְיַמְסֵם יַשֵּׁב רוּחוֹ יִזְּלוּ־מָֽיִם׃ |
19 Which tellith his word to Jacob; and hise riytfulnessis and domes to Israel.
| מַגִּיד דְּבָרָו לְיַעֲקֹב חֻקָּיו וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ |
20 He dide not so to ech nacioun; and he schewide not hise domes to hem.
| לֹא עָשָׂה כֵן ׀ לְכׇל־גּוֹי וּמִשְׁפָּטִים בַּל־יְדָעוּם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ |
