< Psalms 147 >

1 Alleluya. Herie ye the Lord, for the salm is good; heriyng be myrie, and fair to oure God.
Praise Yahweh - for [is] good to sing praises to God our for [is] pleasant [is] fitting praise.
2 The Lord schal bilde Jerusalem; and schal gadere togidere the scateryngis of Israel.
[is] [the] builder of Jerusalem Yahweh [the] banished [ones] of Israel he gathers.
3 Which Lord makith hool men contrit in herte; and byndith togidere the sorewes of hem.
Who [is] healing [the people] broken of heart and [he is] binding up wounds their.
4 Which noumbrith the multitude of sterris; and clepith names to alle tho.
[he is] counting [the] number Of the stars to all of them names he calls.
5 Oure Lord is greet, and his vertu is greet; and of his wisdom is no noumbre.
[is] great Lord our and great of power to understanding his there not [is] a number.
6 The Lord takith vp mylde men; forsothe he makith low synneris `til to the erthe.
[is] relieving Humble [people] Yahweh [is] bringing low wicked [people] to [the] ground.
7 Bifore synge ye to the Lord in knoulechyng; seye ye salm to oure God in an harpe.
Sing to Yahweh with thanksgiving make music to God our with a harp.
8 Which hilith heuene with cloudis; and makith redi reyn to the erthe. Which bryngith forth hei in hillis; and eerbe to the seruice of men.
Who covers [the] heavens - with clouds who prepares for the earth rain who causes to sprout mountains grass.
9 Which yyueth mete to her werk beestis; and to the briddys of crowis clepinge hym.
[who] gives To animal[s] food its to [the] young ones of a raven which they call out.
10 He schal not haue wille in the strengthe of an hors; nether it schal be wel plesaunt to hym in the leggis of a man.
Not in [the] strength of horse he delights not in [the] legs of man he takes pleasure.
11 It is wel plesaunt to the Lord on men that dreden hym; and in hem that hopen on his mercy.
[is] taking pleasure in Yahweh [those] fearing him those [who] hope for covenant loyalty his.
12 Jerusalem, herie thou the Lord; Syon, herie thou thi God.
Extol O Jerusalem Yahweh praise God your O Zion.
13 For he hath coumfortid the lockis of thi yatis; he hath blessid thi sones in thee.
For he has strengthened [the] bars of gates your he has blessed children your in midst your.
14 Which hath set thi coostis pees; and fillith thee with the fatnesse of wheete.
The [one who] makes territory your peace [the] best of wheat he satisfies you.
15 Which sendith out his speche to the erthe; his word renneth swiftli.
The [one who] sends word his [the] earth to quickly it runs word his.
16 Which yyueth snow as wolle; spredith abrood a cloude as aische.
The [one who] gives snow like wool frost like ash[es] he scatters.
17 He sendith his cristal as mussels; who schal suffre bifore the face of his cooldnesse?
[the one who] throws Ice his like crumbs before coldness his who? will he stand.
18 He schal sende out his word, and schal melte tho; his spirit schal blowe, and watris schulen flowe.
He sends word his and he melts them he makes blow wind his they flow waters.
19 Which tellith his word to Jacob; and hise riytfulnessis and domes to Israel.
[the one who] declares (Words his *Q(K)*) to Jacob decrees his and judgments his to Israel.
20 He dide not so to ech nacioun; and he schewide not hise domes to hem.
Not he has done thus - for any nation and judgments not they have known them praise Yahweh.
