Psalms 147
1 Alleluya. Herie ye the Lord, for the salm is good; heriyng be myrie, and fair to oure God.
| سَبِّحُوا ٱلرَّبَّ، لِأَنَّ ٱلتَّرَنُّمَ لِإِلَهِنَا صَالِحٌ. لِأَنَّهُ مُلِذٌّ. ٱلتَّسْبِيحُ لَائِقٌ. | ١ |
2 The Lord schal bilde Jerusalem; and schal gadere togidere the scateryngis of Israel.
| ٱلرَّبُّ يَبْنِي أُورُشَلِيمَ. يَجْمَعُ مَنْفِيِّي إِسْرَائِيلَ. | ٢ |
3 Which Lord makith hool men contrit in herte; and byndith togidere the sorewes of hem.
| يَشْفِي ٱلْمُنْكَسِرِي ٱلْقُلُوبِ، وَيَجْبُرُ كَسْرَهُمْ. | ٣ |
4 Which noumbrith the multitude of sterris; and clepith names to alle tho.
| يُحْصِي عَدَدَ ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ. يَدْعُو كُلَّهَا بِأَسْمَاءٍ. | ٤ |
5 Oure Lord is greet, and his vertu is greet; and of his wisdom is no noumbre.
| عَظِيمٌ هُوَ رَبُّنَا، وَعَظِيمُ ٱلْقُوَّةِ. لِفَهْمِهِ لَا إِحْصَاءَ. | ٥ |
6 The Lord takith vp mylde men; forsothe he makith low synneris `til to the erthe.
| ٱلرَّبُّ يَرْفَعُ ٱلْوُدَعَاءَ، وَيَضَعُ ٱلْأَشْرَارَ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ. | ٦ |
7 Bifore synge ye to the Lord in knoulechyng; seye ye salm to oure God in an harpe.
| أَجِيبُوا ٱلرَّبَّ بِحَمْدٍ. رَنِّمُوا لِإِلَهِنَا بِعُودٍ. | ٧ |
8 Which hilith heuene with cloudis; and makith redi reyn to the erthe. Which bryngith forth hei in hillis; and eerbe to the seruice of men.
| ٱلْكَاسِي ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ سَحَابًا، ٱلْمُهَيِّئِ لِلْأَرْضِ مَطَرًا، ٱلْمُنْبِتِ ٱلْجِبَالَ عُشْبًا، | ٨ |
9 Which yyueth mete to her werk beestis; and to the briddys of crowis clepinge hym.
| ٱلْمُعْطِي لِلْبَهَائِمِ طَعَامَهَا، لِفِرَاخِ ٱلْغِرْبَانِ ٱلَّتِي تَصْرُخُ. | ٩ |
10 He schal not haue wille in the strengthe of an hors; nether it schal be wel plesaunt to hym in the leggis of a man.
| لَا يُسَرُّ بِقُوَّةِ ٱلْخَيْلِ. لَا يَرْضَى بِسَاقَيِ ٱلرَّجُلِ. | ١٠ |
11 It is wel plesaunt to the Lord on men that dreden hym; and in hem that hopen on his mercy.
| يَرْضَى ٱلرَّبُّ بِأَتْقِيَائِهِ، بِٱلرَّاجِينَ رَحْمَتَهُ. | ١١ |
12 Jerusalem, herie thou the Lord; Syon, herie thou thi God.
| سَبِّحِي يَا أُورُشَلِيمُ ٱلرَّبَّ، سَبِّحِي إِلَهَكِ يَاصِهْيَوْنُ. | ١٢ |
13 For he hath coumfortid the lockis of thi yatis; he hath blessid thi sones in thee.
| لِأَنَّهُ قَدْ شَدَّدَ عَوَارِضَ أَبْوَابِكِ. بَارَكَ أَبْنَاءَكِ دَاخِلَكِ. | ١٣ |
14 Which hath set thi coostis pees; and fillith thee with the fatnesse of wheete.
| ٱلَّذِي يَجْعَلُ تُخُومَكِ سَلَامًا، وَيُشْبِعُكِ مِنْ شَحْمِ ٱلْحِنْطَةِ. | ١٤ |
15 Which sendith out his speche to the erthe; his word renneth swiftli.
| يُرْسِلُ كَلِمَتَهُ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ. سَرِيعًا جِدًا يُجْرِي قَوْلَهُ. | ١٥ |
16 Which yyueth snow as wolle; spredith abrood a cloude as aische.
| ٱلَّذِي يُعطِي ٱلثَّلْجَ كَٱلصُّوفِ، وَيُذَرِّي ٱلصَّقِيعَ كَٱلرَّمَادِ. | ١٦ |
17 He sendith his cristal as mussels; who schal suffre bifore the face of his cooldnesse?
| يُلْقِي جَمْدَهُ كَفُتَاتٍ. قُدَّامَ بَرْدِهِ مَنْ يَقِفُ؟ | ١٧ |
18 He schal sende out his word, and schal melte tho; his spirit schal blowe, and watris schulen flowe.
| يُرْسِلُ كَلِمَتَهُ فَيُذِيبُهَا. يَهُبُّ بِرِيحِهِ فَتَسِيلُ ٱلْمِيَاهُ. | ١٨ |
19 Which tellith his word to Jacob; and hise riytfulnessis and domes to Israel.
| يُخْبِرُ يَعْقُوبَ بِكَلِمَتِهِ، وَإِسْرَائِيلَ بِفَرَائِضِهِ وَأَحْكَامِهِ. | ١٩ |
20 He dide not so to ech nacioun; and he schewide not hise domes to hem.
| لَمْ يَصْنَعْ هَكَذَا بِإِحْدَى ٱلأُمَمِ، وَأَحْكَامُهُ لَمْ يَعْرِفُوهَا. هَلِّلُويَا. | ٢٠ |
