Psalms 146
1 Alleluya.
Dejen que el Señor sea alabado. Alaba al Señor, alma mía.
2 Mi soule, herie thou the Lord; Y schal herie the Lord in my lijf, Y schal synge to my God as longe as Y schal be. Nile ye triste in princis;
Mientras respiro, alabaré al Señor; haré melodía a mi Dios mientras tenga mi ser.
3 nether in the sones of men, in whiche is noon helthe.
No pongas tu fe en los gobernantes, o en el hijo del hombre, en quien no hay salvación.
4 The spirit of hym schal go out, and he schal turne ayen in to his erthe; in that dai alle the thouytis of hem schulen perische.
El aliento del hombre se apaga, vuelve a ser polvo; en ese día todos sus propósitos llegan a su fin.
5 He is blessid, of whom the God of Jacob is his helpere, his hope is in his Lord God, that made heuene and erthe;
Bienaventurado el hombre que tiene al Dios de Jacob por su ayuda, cuya esperanza está en el Señor su Dios:
6 the see, and alle thingis that ben in tho.
Que hizo los cielos y la tierra, el mar y todas las cosas en ellos; quien guarda verdad para siempre.
7 Which kepith treuthe in to the world, makith dom to hem that suffren wrong; yyueth mete to hem that ben hungri. The Lord vnbyndith feterid men;
Él da sus derechos a los que son oprimidos y da comida a aquellos que la necesitan; el Señor libera a los prisioneros;
8 the Lord liytneth blynde men. The Lord reisith men hurtlid doun; the Lord loueth iust men.
El Señor abre los ojos de los ciegos; el Señor levanta a los caídos; el Señor es un amante de los rectos;
9 The Lord kepith comelyngis, he schal take vp a modirles child, and widewe; and he schal distrie the weies of synners.
El Señor cuida a los que están en tierra extraña; él ayuda a la viuda y al niño que no tiene padre; pero él envía destrucción en el camino de los pecadores.
10 The Lord schal regne in to the worldis; Syon, thi God schal regne in generacioun and in to generacioun.
El Señor será Rey para siempre; tu Dios, oh Sion, será Rey por todas las generaciones. Alabado sea el Señor.
