Psalms 146

1 Alleluya.

Louez Jah. Mon âme, loue l’Éternel!

2 Mi soule, herie thou the Lord; Y schal herie the Lord in my lijf, Y schal synge to my God as longe as Y schal be. Nile ye triste in princis;

Je louerai l’Éternel durant ma vie; je chanterai des cantiques à mon Dieu tant que j’existerai.

3 nether in the sones of men, in whiche is noon helthe.

Ne vous confiez pas dans les principaux, dans un fils d’homme, en qui il n’y a pas de salut.

4 The spirit of hym schal go out, and he schal turne ayen in to his erthe; in that dai alle the thouytis of hem schulen perische.

Son esprit sort, l’homme retourne dans le sol d’où il est tiré; en ce même jour ses desseins périssent.

5 He is blessid, of whom the God of Jacob is his helpere, his hope is in his Lord God, that made heuene and erthe;

Bienheureux celui qui a le Dieu de Jacob pour son secours, qui s’attend à l’Éternel, son Dieu,

6 the see, and alle thingis that ben in tho.

Qui a fait les cieux et la terre, la mer, et tout ce qui s’y trouve; qui garde la vérité à toujours;

7 Which kepith treuthe in to the world, makith dom to hem that suffren wrong; yyueth mete to hem that ben hungri. The Lord vnbyndith feterid men;

Qui exécute le jugement en faveur des opprimés; qui donne du pain à ceux qui ont faim! L’Éternel met en liberté les prisonniers.

8 the Lord liytneth blynde men. The Lord reisith men hurtlid doun; the Lord loueth iust men.

L’Éternel ouvre les yeux des aveugles; l’Éternel relève ceux qui sont courbés; l’Éternel aime les justes;

9 The Lord kepith comelyngis, he schal take vp a modirles child, and widewe; and he schal distrie the weies of synners.

L’Éternel garde les étrangers; il affermit l’orphelin et la veuve, et confond la voie des méchants.

10 The Lord schal regne in to the worldis; Syon, thi God schal regne in generacioun and in to generacioun.

L’Éternel régnera à toujours, – ton Dieu, ô Sion! de génération en génération. Louez Jah!
