Psalms 146

1 Alleluya.

Alleluia! Mon âme, loue Yahweh!

2 Mi soule, herie thou the Lord; Y schal herie the Lord in my lijf, Y schal synge to my God as longe as Y schal be. Nile ye triste in princis;

Toute ma vie, je veux louer Yahweh, tant que je serai, je veux chanter mon Dieu.

3 nether in the sones of men, in whiche is noon helthe.

Ne mettez pas votre confiance dans les princes, dans le fils de l’homme, qui ne peut sauver.

4 The spirit of hym schal go out, and he schal turne ayen in to his erthe; in that dai alle the thouytis of hem schulen perische.

Son souffle s’en va, il retourne à sa poussière, et, ce même jour, ses desseins s’évanouissent.

5 He is blessid, of whom the God of Jacob is his helpere, his hope is in his Lord God, that made heuene and erthe;

Heureux celui qui a pour secours le Dieu de Jacob, qui met son espoir en Yahweh, son Dieu!

6 the see, and alle thingis that ben in tho.

Yahweh a fait le ciel et la terre, la mer et tout ce qu’elle renferme; il garde à jamais sa fidélité.

7 Which kepith treuthe in to the world, makith dom to hem that suffren wrong; yyueth mete to hem that ben hungri. The Lord vnbyndith feterid men;

Il rend justice aux opprimés, il donne la nourriture à ceux qui ont faim. Yahweh délivre les captifs,

8 the Lord liytneth blynde men. The Lord reisith men hurtlid doun; the Lord loueth iust men.

Yahweh ouvre les yeux des aveugles, Yahweh relève ceux qui sont courbés, Yahweh aime les justes.

9 The Lord kepith comelyngis, he schal take vp a modirles child, and widewe; and he schal distrie the weies of synners.

Yahweh garde les étrangers, il soutient l’orphelin et la veuve; mais il rend tortueuse la voie des méchants.

10 The Lord schal regne in to the worldis; Syon, thi God schal regne in generacioun and in to generacioun.

Yahweh est roi pour l’éternité, ton Dieu, ô Sion, d’âge en âge. Alleluia!
