Psalms 140

1 To victorie, the salm of Dauith. Lord, delyuere thou me fro an yuel man; delyuere thou me fro a wickid man.

Yahwe, uniokoe dhidi ya waovu; unikinge dhidi ya watu wenye vurugu.

2 Whiche thouyten wickidnesses in the herte; al dai thei ordeyneden batels.

Wao wanapanga uovu mioyoni mwao; wanasababisha mapigano kila siku.

3 Thei scharpiden her tungis as serpentis; the venym of snakis vndir the lippis of hem.

Ndimi zao zinajeruhi kama nyoka; sumu ya fira imo midomoni mwao. (Selah)

4 Lord, kepe thou me fro the hond of the synnere; and delyuere thou me fro wickid men. Which thouyten to disseyue my goyngis;

Ee Yahwe, unilinde dhidi ya mikono ya waovu; unikinge na vurugu za watu wanaopanga kuniangusha.

5 proude men hidden a snare to me. And thei leiden forth cordis in to a snare; thei settiden sclaundir to me bisidis the weie.

Wenye majivuno wameweka mtego kwa ajili yangu; wameeneza nyavu; wameweka kitanzi kwa ajili yangu. (Selah)

6 I seide to the Lord, Thou art mi God; Lord, here thou the vois of my biseching.

Nilimwambia Yahwe, “Wewe ni Mungu wangu; usikie kilio changu unihurumie.”

7 Lord, Lord, the vertu of myn heelthe; thou madist schadowe on myn heed in the dai of batel.

Ee Yahwe, Bwana wangu, wewe ni mwenye nguvu uwezaye kuniokoa; hunifunika ngao kichwa changu siku ya vita.

8 Lord, bitake thou not me fro my desire to the synnere; thei thouyten ayens me, forsake thou not me, lest perauenture thei ben enhaunsid.

Ee Yahwe, usiyatimize matakwa ya waovu; usiruhusu njama zao kufanikiwa. (Selah)

9 The heed of the cumpas of hem; the trauel of her lippis schal hile hem.

Wale wanao nizunguka huinua vichwa vyao; madhara ya midomo yao wenyewe na yawafunike.

10 Colis schulen falle on hem, thou schalt caste hem doun in to fier; in wretchidnessis thei schulen not stonde.

Makaa ya moto na yawaangukie; uwatupe motoni, kwenye shimo refu, wasiweze kuinuka tena.

11 A man a greet ianglere schal not be dressid in erthe; yuels schulen take an vniust man in perisching.

Watu wenye ndimi na wasifanywe salama juu ya nchi; na uovu umuwinde kumpiga mtu mwenye vurugu mpaka afe.

12 I haue knowe, that the Lord schal make dom of a nedi man; and the veniaunce of pore men.

Ninajua kuwa Yahwe atahukumu kwa haki walioteswa, na kuwa atawapa haki wahitaji.

13 Netheles iust men schulen knouleche to thi name; and riytful men schulen dwelle with thi cheer.

Hakika watu wenye haki watalishukuru jina lako; watu wanyoofu wataishi uweponi mwako.
