Psalms 140
1 To victorie, the salm of Dauith. Lord, delyuere thou me fro an yuel man; delyuere thou me fro a wickid man.
૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે. દાઉદનું ગીત. હે યહોવાહ, દુષ્ટ માણસોથી મને છોડાવો; જુલમગાર માણસોથી મારું રક્ષણ કરો.
2 Whiche thouyten wickidnesses in the herte; al dai thei ordeyneden batels.
૨તેઓ પોતાની દુષ્ટ યોજનાઓ ઘડે છે; તેઓ નિત્ય ઝઘડા ઊભા કરે છે.
3 Thei scharpiden her tungis as serpentis; the venym of snakis vndir the lippis of hem.
૩તેઓએ પોતાની જીભ સાપના જેવી તીક્ષ્ણ બનાવી છે; તેઓની જીભની નીચે નાગનું વિષ છે. (સેલાહ)
4 Lord, kepe thou me fro the hond of the synnere; and delyuere thou me fro wickid men. Which thouyten to disseyue my goyngis;
૪હે યહોવાહ, દુષ્ટોના હાથમાંથી મને બચાવો; જેઓએ મને નુકસાન પહોંચાડવાની યોજના કરી છે; એવા જુલમગાર માણસોથી મારું રક્ષણ કરો.
5 proude men hidden a snare to me. And thei leiden forth cordis in to a snare; thei settiden sclaundir to me bisidis the weie.
૫ગર્વિષ્ઠોએ મારે માટે પાશ તથા દોરીઓ ગુપ્ત રીતે પાથર્યાં છે; તેઓએ રસ્તાની બાજુ પર જાળ બિછાવી છે; મારે માટે ફાંસા ગોઠવ્યા છે. (સેલાહ)
6 I seide to the Lord, Thou art mi God; Lord, here thou the vois of my biseching.
૬મેં યહોવાહને કહ્યું, “તમે મારા ઈશ્વર છો; મારી આજીજી સાંભળો.”
7 Lord, Lord, the vertu of myn heelthe; thou madist schadowe on myn heed in the dai of batel.
૭હે યહોવાહ, મારા પ્રભુ, તમે મારા ઉદ્ધારના સામર્થ્ય છો; યુદ્ધના દિવસે તમે મારા શિરનું રક્ષણ કરો છો.
8 Lord, bitake thou not me fro my desire to the synnere; thei thouyten ayens me, forsake thou not me, lest perauenture thei ben enhaunsid.
૮હે યહોવાહ, તમે દુષ્ટોની ઇચ્છા પૂરી ન કરો; તેઓની યોજનાઓને સફળ થવા દેશો નહિ. (સેલાહ)
9 The heed of the cumpas of hem; the trauel of her lippis schal hile hem.
૯મને ઘેરો ઘાલનારામાં જેઓ મુખ્ય છે; તેઓના હોઠોથી કરવામાં આવેલો અપકાર તેમના પોતાના ઉપર આવી પડો.
10 Colis schulen falle on hem, thou schalt caste hem doun in to fier; in wretchidnessis thei schulen not stonde.
૧૦ધગધગતા અંગારા તેમના મસ્તક પર પડો; તેઓને અગ્નિમાં ફેંકી દેવામાં આવે; એવા ઊંડા ખાડાઓમાં નાખવામાં આવે કે જ્યાંથી તેઓ કદી બચી શકે નહિ.”
11 A man a greet ianglere schal not be dressid in erthe; yuels schulen take an vniust man in perisching.
૧૧ખોટું બોલનારાઓને પૃથ્વીમાં રહેવા દેશો નહિ; જુલમગાર માણસને ઉથલાવી પાડવાને દુષ્ટતા તેની પાછળ પડી રહેશે.
12 I haue knowe, that the Lord schal make dom of a nedi man; and the veniaunce of pore men.
૧૨હું જાણું છું કે યહોવાહ તો દુઃખીની દાદ સાંભળશે અને ગરીબોનો હક જાળવશે.
13 Netheles iust men schulen knouleche to thi name; and riytful men schulen dwelle with thi cheer.
૧૩નિશ્ચે ન્યાયી માણસ યહોવાહના નામનો આભાર માનશે; યથાર્થ મનુષ્યો તમારી સમક્ષતામાં જીવશે.
