1 `To victorie, the salm of Dauith. Lord, thou hast preued me, and hast knowe me;

Tedy znasz siedzenie moje, i powstanie moje, wyrozumiewasz myśli moje z daleka.
3 Thou hast vndirstonde my thouytis fro fer; thou hast enquerid my path and my corde.
Tyś chodzenie moje i leżenie moje ogarnął, świadomeś wszystkich dróg moich.
4 And thou hast bifor seien alle my weies; for no word is in my tunge.
Nim przyjdzie słowo na język mój, oto Panie! ty to wszystko wiesz.
5 Lo! Lord, thou hast knowe alle thingis, the laste thingis and elde; thou hast formed me, and hast set thin hond on me.
Z tyłu i z przodku otoczyłeś mię, a położyłeś na mię rękę twoję.
6 Thi kunnyng is maad wondirful of me; it is coumfortid, and Y schal not mowe to it.
Dziwniejsza umiejętność twoja nad dowcip mój; wysoka jest, nie mogę jej pojąć.
7 Whidir schal Y go fro thi spirit; and whider schal Y fle fro thi face?
Dokąd ujdę przed duchem twoim? a dokąd przed obliczem twojem uciekę?
8 If Y schal stie in to heuene, thou art there; if Y schal go doun to helle, thou art present. (Sheol h7585)
Jeźlibym wstąpił do nieba, jesteś tam; i jeźlibym sobie posłał w grobie, i tameś przytomny. (Sheol h7585)
9 If Y schal take my fetheris ful eerli; and schal dwelle in the last partis of the see.
Wziąłlibym skrzydła rannej zorzy, abym mieszkał na końcu morza,
10 And sotheli thider thin hond schal leede me forth; and thi riyt hond schal holde me.
I tamby mię ręka twoja prowadziła, a dosięgłaby mię prawica twoja.
11 And Y seide, In hap derknessis schulen defoule me; and the nyyt is my liytnyng in my delicis.
Albo rzekłlibym: Wżdyć ciemności zakryją mię; aleć i noc jest światłem około mnie,
12 For whi derknessis schulen not be maad derk fro thee, aud the niyt schal be liytned as the dai; as the derknessis therof, so and the liyt therof.
Gdyż i ciemności nic nie zakryją przed tobą; owszem tobie noc jako dzień świeci; ciemnościć są jako światłość.
13 For thou haddist in possessioun my reines; thou tokist me vp fro the wombe of my modir.
Ty zaiste w nocy masz nerki moje; okryłeś mię w żywocie matki mojej.
14 I schal knouleche to thee, for thou art magnefied dreedfuli; thi werkis ben wondirful, and my soule schal knouleche ful miche.
Wysławiam cię dlatego, że się zdumiewam strasznym i dziwnym sprawom twoim, a dusza moja zna je wybornie.
15 Mi boon, which thou madist in priuete, is not hyd fro thee; and my substaunce in the lower partis of erthe.
Nie zataiła się żadna kość moja przed tobą, chociażem był uczyniony w skrytości, i misternie złożony w niskościach ziemi.
16 Thin iyen sien myn vnperfit thing, and alle men schulen be writun in thi book; daies schulen be formed, and no man is in tho.
Niedoskonały płód ciała mego widziały oczy twoje; w księgi twoje wszystkie członki moje wpisane są, i dni, w których kształtowane były, gdy jeszcze żadnego z nich nie było.
17 Forsothe, God, thi frendis ben maad onourable ful myche to me; the princeheed of hem is coumfortid ful myche.
Przetoż o jako drogie są u mnie myśli twoje, Boże! a jako ich jest wielka liczba.
18 I schal noumbre hem, and thei schulen be multiplied aboue grauel; Y roos vp, and yit Y am with thee.
Jeźlibym je chciał zliczyć, nad piasek rozmnożyły się; ocucęli się, jeszczem ci ja z tobą.
19 For thou, God, schalt slee synneris; ye menquelleris, bowe awei fro me.
Zabiłlibyś, o Boże! niezbożnika, tedyćby mężowie krwawi odstąpili odemnie;
20 For ye seien in thouyt; Take thei her citees in vanite.
Którzy mówią przeciwko tobie obrzydłości, którzy próżno wynoszą nieprzyjaciół twoich.
21 Lord, whether Y hatide not hem that hatiden thee; and Y failide on thin enemyes?
Izali tych, którzy cię w nienawiści mają, o Panie! niemam w nienawiści? a ci, którzy przeciwko tobie powstawają, izaż mi nie omierzli?
22 Bi perfite haterede Y hatide hem; thei weren maad enemyes to me.
Główną nienawiścią nienawidzę ich, a mam ich za nieprzyjaciół.
23 God, preue thou me, and knowe thou myn herte; axe thou me, and knowe thou my pathis.
Wyszpieguj mię, Boże! a poznaj serce moje; doświadcz mię, a poznaj myśli moje,
24 And se thou, if weie of wickidnesse is in me; and lede thou me forth in euerlastinge wei.
I obacz, jeźli droga odporności jest we mnie, a prowadź mię drogą wieczną.
