< Psalms 126 >
1 The song of grecis. Whanne the Lord turnede the caitifte of Sion; we weren maad as coumfortid.
When Adonai brought back those who teshuvah ·completely returned· to Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], we were like those who dream.
2 Thanne oure mouth was fillid with ioye; and oure tunge with ful out ioiyng. Thanne thei schulen seie among hethene men; The Lord magnefiede to do with hem.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “Adonai has done great things for them.”
3 The Lord magnefiede to do with vs; we ben maad glad.
Adonai has done great things for us, and we are glad.
4 Lord, turne thou oure caitifte; as a stronde in the south.
Restore our fortunes again, Adonai, like the streams in the Negev.
5 Thei that sowen in teeris; schulen repe in ful out ioiyng.
Those who sow in tears will reap in joy.
6 Thei goynge yeden, and wepten; sendynge her seedis. But thei comynge schulen come with ful out ioiyng; berynge her handfullis.
He who goes out weeping, carrying seed for sowing, will certainly come again with joy, carrying his sheaves.
