Psalms 123

1 `The song of grecis. To thee Y haue reisid myn iyen; that dwellist in heuenes.

«Ωιδή των Αναβαθμών.» Ύψωσα τους οφθαλμούς μου προς σε τον κατοικούντα εν ουρανοίς.

2 Lo! as the iyen of seruauntis; ben in the hondis of her lordis. As the iyen of the handmaide ben in the hondis of her ladi; so oure iyen ben to oure Lord God, til he haue mercy on vs.

Ιδού, καθώς οι οφθαλμοί των δούλων ατενίζουσιν εις την χείρα των κυρίων αυτών, καθώς οι οφθαλμοί της δούλης εις την χείρα της κυρίας αυτής, ούτως οι οφθαλμοί ημών προς Κύριον τον Θεόν ημών, εωσού ελεήση ημάς.

3 Lord, haue thou merci on vs, haue thou merci on vs; for we ben myche fillid with dispisyng.

Ελέησον ημάς, Κύριε, ελέησον ημάς διότι εχορτάσθημεν σφόδρα από εξουδενώσεως.

4 For oure soule is myche fillid; we ben schenschipe to hem that ben abundaunte with richessis, and dispising to proude men.

Καθ' υπερβολήν εχορτάσθη η ψυχή ημών από της ύβρεως των τρυφώντων, από της εξουδενώσεως των υπερηφάνων.
