Psalms 115
1 Lord, not to vs, not to vs; but yyue thou glorie to thi name.
Non pour nous, Eternel, non pour nous, mais pour faire honneur à ton nom, donne cours à ta bonté et à ta bienveillance.
2 On thi merci and thi treuthe; lest ony tyme hethene men seien, Where is the God of hem?
Pourquoi les peuples diraient-ils: "Où donc est leur Dieu?"
3 Forsothe oure God in heuene; dide alle thingis, whiche euere he wolde.
Or notre Dieu est dans les cieux, il accomplit toutes ses volontés.
4 The symulacris of hethene men ben siluer and gold; the werkis of mennus hondis.
Leurs idoles sont d’argent et d’or, œuvre de mains humaines.
5 Tho han mouth, and schulen not speke; tho han iyen, and schulen not se.
Elles ont une bouche et ne parlent point, des yeux, et elles ne voient pas;
6 Tho han eeris, and schulen not here; tho han nose thurls, and schulen not smelle.
elles ont des oreilles et elles n’entendent pas, des narines, et elles n’ont point d’odorat.
7 Tho han hondis, and schulen not grope; tho han feet, and schulen not go; tho schulen not crye in her throte.
Malgré leurs mains, elles n’ont pas le sens du toucher, malgré leurs pieds, elles ne sauraient marcher; aucun son ne s’échappe de leur gosier.
8 Thei that maken tho ben maad lijk tho; and alle that triste in tho.
Puissent leur ressembler ceux qui les confectionnent, tous ceux qui leur témoignent de la confiance!
9 The hous of Israel hopide in the Lord; he is the helpere `of hem, and the defendere of hem.
Israël, confie-toi à Dieu! Il est leur aide et leur bouclier.
10 The hous of Aaron hopide in the Lord; he is the helpere of hem, and the defendere of hem.
Maison d’Aaron, confie-toi à Dieu! Il est leur aide et leur bouclier.
11 Thei that dreden the Lord, hopiden in the Lord; he is the helpere of hem, and the defendere of hem.
Vous, adorateurs de l’Eternel, confiez-vous à lui! Il est leur aide et leur bouclier.
12 The Lord was myndeful of vs; and blesside vs. He blesside the hous of Israel; he blesside the hous of Aaron.
L’Eternel se souvient de nous pour nous bénir; qu’il bénisse la maison d’Israël, qu’il bénisse la maison d’Aaron!
13 He blesside alle men that dreden the Lord; `he blesside litle `men with the grettere.
Qu’il bénisse ceux qui le révèrent, les petits ainsi que les grands!
14 The Lord encreesse on you; on you and on youre sones.
Que l’Eternel multiplie ses bontés pour vous, pour vous et pour vos enfants!
15 Blessid be ye of the Lord; that made heuene and erthe.
Soyez bénis par l’Eternel, qui a créé le ciel et la terre!
16 Heuene of `heuene is to the Lord; but he yaf erthe to the sones of men.
Les cieux, oui, les cieux sont à l’Eternel, mais la terre, il l’a octroyée aux fils de l’homme.
17 Lord, not deed men schulen herie thee; nether alle men that goen doun in to helle.
Ce ne sont pas les morts qui loueront le Seigneur, ni aucun de ceux qui sont descendus dans l’empire du silence,
18 But we that lyuen, blessen the Lord; fro this tyme now and til in to the world.
tandis que nous, nous bénissons l’Eternel, maintenant et à tout jamais. Alléluia!
