Psalms 110

1 `The salm of Dauith. The Lord seide to my Lord; Sitte thou on my riyt side. Til Y putte thin enemyes; a stool of thi feet.

Salmo di Davide. L’Eterno ha detto al mio Signore: Siedi alla mia destra finché io abbia fatto de’ tuoi nemici lo sgabello dei tuoi piedi.

2 The Lord schal sende out fro Syon the yerde of thi vertu; be thou lord in the myddis of thin enemyes.

L’Eterno estenderà da Sion lo scettro della sua potenza: Signoreggia in mezzo ai tuoi nemici!

3 The bigynnyng is with thee in the dai of thi vertu, in the briytnessis of seyntis; Y gendride thee of the wombe before the dai sterre.

Il tuo popolo s’offre volenteroso nel giorno che raduni il tuo esercito. Parata di santità, dal seno dell’alba, la tua gioventù viene a te come la rugiada.

4 The Lord swoor, and it schal not repente him; Thou art a preest with outen ende, bi the ordre of Melchisedech.

L’Eterno l’ha giurato e non si pentirà: Tu sei sacerdote in eterno, secondo l’ordine di Melchisedec.

5 The Lord on thi riyt side; hath broke kyngis in the dai of his veniaunce.

Il Signore, alla tua destra, schiaccerà dei re nel giorno della sua ira,

6 He schal deme among naciouns, he schal fille fallyngis; he schal schake heedis in the lond of many men.

eserciterà il giudizio fra le nazioni, riempirà ogni luogo di cadaveri,

7 He dranke of the stronde in the weie; therfor he enhaunside the heed.

schiaccerà il capo ai nemici sopra un vasto paese; berrà dal torrente per via, e perciò alzerà il capo.
