Psalms 107

1 Alleluya. Knouleche ye to the Lord, for he is good; for his merci is in to the world.

याहवेह का धन्यवाद करो, वे भले हैं; उनकी करुणा सदा की है.

2 Sei thei, that ben ayen bouyt of the Lord; whiche he ayen bouyte fro the hond of the enemye, fro cuntreis he gaderide hem togidere.

यह नारा उन सबका हो, जो याहवेह द्वारा उद्धारित हैं, जिन्हें उन्होंने विरोधियों से मुक्त किया है,

3 Fro the risyng of the sunne, and fro the goyng doun; fro the north, and fro the see.

जिन्हें उन्होंने पूर्व और पश्चिम से, उत्तर और दक्षिण से, विभिन्‍न देशों से एकत्र कर एकजुट किया है.

4 Thei erriden in wildirnesse, in a place with out watir; thei founden not weie of the citee of dwellyng place.

कुछ निर्जन वन में भटक रहे थे, जिन्हें नगर की ओर जाता हुआ कोई मार्ग न मिल सका.

5 Thei weren hungri and thirsti; her soule failide in hem.

वे भूखे और प्यासे थे, वे दुर्बल होते जा रहे थे.

6 And thei crieden to the Lord, whanne thei weren set in tribulacioun; and he delyuerede hem fro her nedynesses.

अपनी विपत्ति की स्थिति में उन्होंने याहवेह को पुकारा, याहवेह ने उन्हें उनकी दुर्दशा से छुड़ा लिया.

7 And he ledde forth hem in to the riyt weie; that thei schulden go in to the citee of dwelling.

उन्होंने उन्हें सीधे-समतल पथ से ऐसे नगर में पहुंचा दिया जहां वे जाकर बस सकते थे.

8 The mercies of the Lord knouleche to hym; and hise merueilis knouleche to the sones of men.

उपयुक्त है कि वे याहवेह के प्रति उनके करुणा-प्रेम के लिए तथा उनके द्वारा मनुष्यों के लिए किए गए अद्भुत कार्यों के लिए उनका आभार व्यक्त करें,

9 For he fillide a voide man; and he fillide with goodis an hungry man.

क्योंकि वह प्यासी आत्मा के प्यास को संतुष्ट करते तथा भूखे को उत्तम आहार से तृप्‍त करते हैं.

10 God delyuerede men sittynge in derknessis, and in the schadowe of deth; and men prisoned in beggerye and in yrun.

कुछ ऐसे थे, जो अंधकार में, गहनतम मृत्यु की छाया में बैठे हुए थे, वे बंदी लोहे की बेड़ियों में यातना सह रहे थे,

11 For thei maden bitter the spechis of God; and wraththiden the councel of the hiyeste.

क्योंकि उन्होंने परमेश्वर के आदेशों के विरुद्ध विद्रोह किया था और सर्वोच्च परमेश्वर के निर्देशों को तुच्छ समझा था.

12 And the herte of hem was maad meke in trauelis; and thei weren sijk, and noon was that helpide.

तब परमेश्वर ने उन्हें कठोर श्रम के कार्यों में लगा दिया; वे लड़खड़ा जाते थे किंतु कोई उनकी सहायता न करता था.

13 And thei crieden to the Lord, whanne thei weren set in tribulacioun; and he delyuerede hem from her nedynessis.

अपनी विपत्ति की स्थिति में उन्होंने याहवेह को पुकारा, याहवेह ने उन्हें उनकी दुर्दशा से छुड़ा लिया.

14 And he ledde hem out of derknessis, and schadowe of deth; and brak the boondis of hem.

परमेश्वर ने उन्हें अंधकार और मृत्यु-छाया से बाहर निकाल लिया, और उनकी बेड़ियों को तोड़ डाला.

15 The mercies of the Lord knouleche to hym; and hise merueils knouleche to the sones of men.

उपयुक्त है कि वे याहवेह के प्रति उनके करुणा-प्रेम के लिए तथा उनके द्वारा मनुष्यों के हित में किए गए अद्भुत कार्यों के लिए उनका आभार व्यक्त करें,

16 For he al to-brak brasun yatis; and he brak yrun barris.

क्योंकि वही कांस्य द्वारों को तोड़ देते तथा लोहे की छड़ों को काटकर विभक्त कर डालते हैं.

17 He vptook hem fro the weie of her wickidnesse; for thei weren maad lowe for her vnriytfulnesses.

कुछ ऐसे भी थे, जो विद्रोह का मार्ग अपनाकर मूर्ख प्रमाणित हुए, जिसका परिणाम यह हुआ, कि उन्हें अपने अपराधों के कारण ही पीड़ा सहनी पड़ी.

18 The soule of hem wlatide al mete; and thei neiyeden `til to the yatis of deth.

उन्हें सभी प्रकार के भोजन से घृणा हो गई और वे मृत्यु-द्वार तक पहुंच गए.

19 And thei crieden to the Lord, whanne thei weren set in tribulacioun; and he delyuerede hem fro her nedynessis.

अपनी विपत्ति की स्थिति में उन्होंने याहवेह को पुकारा, याहवेह ने उन्हें उनकी दुर्दशा से छुड़ा लिया.

20 He sente his word, and heelide hem; and delyuerede hem fro the perischingis of hem.

उन्होंने आदेश दिया और वे स्वस्थ हो गए और उन्होंने उन्हें उनके विनाश से बचा लिया.

21 The mercies of the Lord knouleche to hym; and hise merueils to the sones of men.

उपयुक्त है कि वे याहवेह के प्रति उनके करुणा-प्रेम के लिए तथा उनके द्वारा मनुष्यों के हित में किए गए अद्भुत कार्यों के लिए उनका आभार व्यक्त करें.

22 And offre thei the sacrifice of heriyng; and telle thei hise werkis in ful out ioiyng.

वे धन्यवाद बलि अर्पित करें और हर्षगीतों के माध्यम से उनके कार्यों का वर्णन करें.

23 Thei that gon doun in to the see in schippis; and maken worching in many watris.

कुछ वे थे, जो जलयानों में समुद्री यात्रा पर चले गए; वे महासागर पार जाकर व्यापार करते थे.

24 Thei sien the werkis of the Lord; and hise merueilis in the depthe.

उन्होंने याहवेह के महाकार्य देखे, वे अद्भुत कार्य, जो समुद्र में किए गए थे.

25 He seide, and the spirit of tempest stood; and the wawis therof weren arerid.

याहवेह आदेश देते थे और बवंडर उठ जाता था, जिसके कारण समुद्र पर ऊंची-ऊंची लहरें उठने लगती थीं.

26 Thei stien til to heuenes, and goen doun `til to the depthis; the soule of hem failide in yuelis.

वे जलयान आकाश तक ऊंचे उठकर गहराइयों तक पहुंच जाते थे; जोखिम की इस बुराई की स्थिति में उनका साहस जाता रहा.

27 Thei weren troblid, and thei weren moued as a drunkun man; and al the wisdom of hem was deuourid.

वे मतवालों के समान लुढ़कते और लड़खड़ा जाते थे; उनकी मति भ्रष्‍ट हो चुकी थी.

28 And thei crieden to the Lord, whanne thei weren set in tribulacioun; and he ledde hem out of her nedynessis.

अपनी विपत्ति की स्थिति में उन्होंने याहवेह को पुकारा, याहवेह ने उन्हें उनकी दुर्दशा से छुड़ा लिया.

29 And he ordeynede the tempest therof in to a soft wynde; and the wawis therof weren stille.

याहवेह ने बवंडर को शांत किया और समुद्र की लहरें स्तब्ध हो गईं.

30 And thei weren glad, for tho weren stille; and he ladde hem forth in to the hauene of her wille.

लहरों के शांत होने पर उनमें हर्ष की लहर दौड़ गई, याहवेह ने उन्हें उनके मनचाहे बंदरगाह तक पहुंचा दिया.

31 The mercies of the Lord knouleche to hym; and hise merueilis to the sones of men.

उपयुक्त है कि वे याहवेह के प्रति उनके करुणा-प्रेम के लिए तथा उनके द्वारा मनुष्यों के हित में किए गए अद्भुत कार्यों के लिए उनका आभार व्यक्त करें.

32 And enhaunse thei him in the chirche of the puple; and preise thei him in the chaier of eldre men.

वे जनसमूह के सामने याहवेह का भजन करें, वे अगुओं की सभा में उनकी महिमा करें.

33 He hath set floodis in to deseert; and the out goingis of watris in to thirst.

परमेश्वर ने नदियां मरुभूमि में बदल दीं, परमेश्वर ने झरनों के प्रवाह को रोका.

34 He hath set fruytful lond in to saltnesse; for the malice of men dwellyng ther ynne.

वहां के निवासियों की दुष्टता के कारण याहवेह नदियों को वन में, नदी को शुष्क भूमि में और उर्वर भूमि को निर्जन भूमि में बदल देते हैं.

35 He hath set deseert in to pondis of watris; and erthe with out watir in to outgoyngis of watris.

याहवेह ही वन को जलाशय में बदल देते हैं और शुष्क भूमि को झरनों में;

36 And he settide there hungri men; and thei maden a citee of dwelling.

वहां वह भूखों को बसने देते हैं, कि वे वहां बसने के लिये एक नगर स्थापित कर दें,

37 And thei sowiden feeldis, and plauntiden vynes; and maden fruyt of birthe.

कि वे वहां कृषि करें, द्राक्षावाटिका का रोपण करें तथा इनसे उन्हें बड़ा उपज प्राप्‍त हो.

38 And he blesside hem, and thei weren multiplied greetli; and he made not lesse her werk beestis.

याहवेह ही की कृपादृष्टि में उनकी संख्या में बहुत वृद्धि होने लगती है, याहवेह उनके पशु धन की हानि नहीं होने देते.

39 And thei weren maad fewe; and thei weren trauelid of tribulacioun of yuelis and of sorewis.

जब उनकी संख्या घटने लगती है और पीछे, क्लेश और शोक के कारण उनका मनोबल घटता और दब जाता है,

40 Strijf was sched out on princes; and he made hem for to erre without the weie, and not in the weie.

परमेश्वर उन अधिकारियों पर निंदा-वृष्टि करते हैं, वे मार्ग रहित वन में भटकाने के लिए छोड़ दिए जाते हैं.

41 And he helpide the pore man fro pouert; and settide meynees as a scheep bringynge forth lambren.

किंतु याहवेह दुःखी को पीड़ा से बचाकर उनके परिवारों को भेड़ों के झुंड समान वृद्धि करते हैं.

42 Riytful men schulen se, and schulen be glad; and al wickidnesse schal stoppe his mouth.

यह सब देख सीधे लोग उल्‍लसित होते हैं, और दुष्टों को चुप रह जाना पड़ता है.

43 Who is wijs, and schal kepe these thingis; and schal vndirstonde the mercies of the Lord?

जो कोई बुद्धिमान है, इन बातों का ध्यान रखे और याहवेह के करुणा-प्रेम पर विचार करता रहे.
