Psalms 106
1 Alleluya. Kouleche ye to the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy is with outen ende.
¡Alaben al Señor! ¡Agradézcanle, porque es bueno! Su gran amor durará para siempre.
2 Who schal speke the powers of the Lord; schal make knowun alle hise preisyngis?
¿Quién puede dar cuenta de todas las maravillas que el Señor ha hecho? ¿Quién puede darle toda la alabanza que merece?
3 Blessid ben thei that kepen dom; and doon riytfulnesse in al tyme.
Felices son esos que tratan a la gente de forma justa, quienes siempre hacen lo correcto.
4 Lord, haue thou mynde on vs in the good plesaunce of thi puple; visite thou vs in thin heelthe.
Acuérdate de mi, por favor, cuando seas generoso con tu pueblo; piensa en mí cuando vengas a salvar.
5 To se in the goodnesse of thi chosun men, to be glad in the gladnes of thi folk; that thou be heried with thin eritage.
Déjame ver a tu pueblo escogido prosperar; déjame alegrarme juntamente con tu nación santa; déjame compartir tu gozo con los tuyos.
6 We han synned with oure fadris; we han do vniustli, we han do wickidnesse.
Hemos pecado como nuestros antepasados. Nos hemos equivocado. Somos culpables.
7 Oure fadris in Egipt vndirstoden not thi merueils; thei weren not myndeful of the multitude of thi merci. And thei stiynge in to the see, in to the reed see, terreden to wraththe;
No prestaron atención a todas las cosas buenas que hiciste. No guardaron en su corazón cuánto los amabas, sino que eligieron rebelarse en el mar Rojo.
8 and he sauede hem for his name, that `he schulde make knowun his power.
Tanto así que los salvó por su carácter santo, y para mostrar su poder
9 And he departide the reed see, and it was dried; and he lede forth hem in the depthis of watris as in deseert.
Él dio la orden al mar Rojo, y este se secó. Guió a su pueblo a través de la profundidad del mar como si fueran por el desierto.
10 And he sauede hem fro the hond of hateris; and he ayen bouyte hem fro the hond of the enemye.
Los rescató de aquellos que lo odiaban; los salvó del poder de sus enemigos.
11 And the watir hilide men troublynge hem; oon of hem abood not.
El agua ahogó a sus enemigos, ni uno de ellos sobrevivió,
12 And thei bileueden to hise wordis; and thei preisiden the heriynge of hym.
Entonces su pueblo confió en lo que él había prometido, y cantó alabanzas a su nombre.
13 Thei hadden `soone do, thei foryaten hise werkis; and thei abididen not his councel.
Pero ellos olvidaron rápidamente lo que Dios había hecho por ellos, y no escucharon sus advertencias.
14 And thei coueitiden coueitise in deseert; and temptiden God in a place with out watir.
Estaban llenos de ansias desesperadas en el desierto; provocaron a Dios en el desierto.
15 And he yaf to hem the axyng of hem; and he sente fulnesse in to the soulis of hem.
Dios les dio lo que querían, pero también les envió una plaga.
16 And thei wraththiden Moyses in the castels; Aaron, the hooli of the Lord.
La gente se volvió celosa de Moisés, y de Aarón, los sacerdotes santos del Señor.
17 The erthe was opened, and swolewid Datan; and hilide on the congregacioun of Abiron.
La tierra se abrió y se tragó a Datán; sepultó a Abiram y a sus seguidores.
18 And fier brente an hiye in the synagoge of hem; flawme brente synneris.
Fuego ardiente se encendió en medio de ellos. Una llama que los quemó a todos.
19 And thei maden a calf in Oreb; and worschipiden a yotun ymage.
En el monte Sinaí elaboraron un becerro, se postraron ante un ídolo de metal.
20 And thei chaungiden her glorie; in to the liknesse of a calf etynge hei.
¡Reemplazaron su rey de gloria por un toro que comía yerba!
21 Thei foryaten God, that sauede hem, that dide grete werkis in Egipt,
Se olvidaron de Dios, su Salvador, quien había hecho cosas maravillosas en Egipto;
22 merueils in the lond of Cham; feerdful thingis in the reed see.
obrando toda clase de milagros en la tierra de Cam, haciendo cosas maravillosas en el mar Rojo.
23 And God seide, that he wolde leese hem; if Moises, his chosun man, hadde not stonde in the brekyng of his siyt. That he schulde turne awei his ire; lest he loste hem.
Y entonces dijo que iba a destruirlos, pero Moisés, su líder escogido, se colocó entre Dios y el pueblo para persuadirlo de nos destruirlos en su ira.
24 And thei hadden the desirable lond for nouyt, thei bileueden not to his word, and thei grutchiden in her tabernaclis;
Más tarde el pueblo se rehusó a entrar a la tierra prometida; no confiaron en que Él cumpliría lo que había prometido.
25 thei herden not the vois of the Lord.
Hablaban en sus tiendas sobre el Señor, y se rehusaron a obedecer lo que les había ordenado.
26 And he reiside his hond on hem; to caste doun hem in desert.
Entonces levantó su mano para hacerles una seria advertencia de que los destruiría en el desierto,
27 And to caste awei her seed in naciouns; and to leese hem in cuntreis.
que dispersaría a sus descendientes entre las naciones, mandándolos a países lejanos.
28 And thei maden sacrifice to Belfagor; and thei eeten the sacrificis of deed beestis.
Proclamaron fidelidad a Baal Peor, y comieron alimento sacrificado a los muertos.
29 And thei wraththiden God in her fyndyngis; and fallyng was multiplied in hem.
Provocaron al Señor con lo que hicieron, haciéndolo enojar, y una plaga cayó sobre ellos.
30 And Fynees stood, and pleeside God; and the veniaunce ceesside.
Pero Finees tomó un lugar por el Señor e intervino, y la plaga se detuvo.
31 And it was arrettid to hym to riytfulnesse; in generacioun and in to generacioun, til in to with outen ende.
Ha sido considerado como un hombre que vivió con rectitud desde entonces hasta ahora, durante todas las generaciones.
32 And thei wraththiden God at the watris of ayenseiyng; and Moises was trauelid for hem, for thei maden bittere his spirit,
También hicieron airar al Señor en las aguas de Meribá, cuando las cosas se pusieron en contra de Moisés por culpa de ellos.
33 and he departide in his lippis.
Lo hicieron enfurecer tanto que habló sin pensar en el calor del momento.
34 Thei losten not hethen men; whiche the Lord seide to hem.
No destruyeron a los pueblos paganos como el Señor les había dicho,
35 And thei weren meddlid among hethene men, and lerneden the werkis of hem,
sino que en su lugar se unieron a ellos y adoptaron su estilo de vida.
36 and serueden the grauen ymagis of hem; and it was maad to hem in to sclaundre.
Adoraron a sus ídolos paganos que se convirtieron en una trampa para ellos.
37 And thei offriden her sones; and her douytris to feendis.
Incluso rindieron en sacrificio a sus hijos e hijas a esos demonios.
38 And thei schedden out innocent blood, the blood of her sones and of her douytris; whiche thei sacrificiden to the grauun ymagis of Chanaan.
Derramaron sangre de niños inocentes, sus propios hijos, sacrificándolos a los dioses de Canaán. Al hacerlo, mancharon la tierra con sangre.
39 And the erthe was slayn in bloodis, and was defoulid in the werkis of hem; and thei diden fornicacioun in her fyndyngis.
Incluso mancharon sus propias vidas con lo que hicieron: sus acciones fueron adulterio espiritual.
40 And the Lord was wrooth bi strong veniaunce ayens his puple; and hadde abhominacioun of his eritage.
Por eso el Señor se airó con su pueblo, odió a aquellos que le pertenecían.
41 And he bitook hem in to the hondis of hethene men; and thei that hatiden hem, weren lordis of hem.
Y los entregó a las naciones paganas. Estos pueblos que los odiaban ahora se convirtieron en sus dirigentes.
42 And her enemyes diden tribulacioun to hem, and thei weren mekid vndir the hondis of enemyes;
Sus enemigos los dominaron y los doblegaron con su poder.
43 ofte he delyuerede hem. But thei wraththiden hym in her counsel; and thei weren maad low in her wickidnessis.
El Señor los rescató repetidas veces, pero ellos continuaron con sus actos rebeldes, hasta que fueron destruidos por sus propios pecados.
44 And he siye, whanne thei weren set in tribulacioun; and he herde the preyer of hem.
Pero, a pesar de todo esto, el Señor fue movido por su sufrimiento; oyó sus lamentos quejumbrosos.
45 And he was myndeful of his testament; and it repentide hym bi the multitude of his merci.
Recordó el pacto que había hecho con ellos, y se contuvo por gran bondad y amor.
46 And he yaf hem in to mercies; in the siyt of alle men, that hadden take hem.
Hizo que los pueblos que los habían capturado los trataran con misericordia.
47 Oure Lord God, make thou vs saaf; and gadere togidere vs fro naciouns. That we knouleche to thin hooli name; and haue glorie in thi preisyng.
¡Sálvanos, Señor, Dios nuestro! reúnenos nuevamente de entre todas las naciones, para que podamos agradecerte y hablar de lo maravilloso que eres.
48 Blessid be the Lord God of Israel fro the world and til in to the world; and al the puple schal seye, Be it don, be it don.
¡Cuán grande es el Señor, el Dios de Israel, quien vive por siempre y para siempre! ¡Todo el mundo diga “Amén”! ¡Alaben al Señor!
