Psalms 106
1 Alleluya. Kouleche ye to the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy is with outen ende.
Aleluia! Agradecei ao SENHOR, porque ele é bom, porque sua bondade [dura] para sempre.
2 Who schal speke the powers of the Lord; schal make knowun alle hise preisyngis?
Quem falará das proezas do SENHOR? [Quem] dirá louvores a ele?
3 Blessid ben thei that kepen dom; and doon riytfulnesse in al tyme.
Bem-aventurados [são] os que guardam o juízo; [e] aquele que pratica justiça em todo tempo.
4 Lord, haue thou mynde on vs in the good plesaunce of thi puple; visite thou vs in thin heelthe.
Lembra-te de mim, SENHOR, conforme [tua] boa vontade [para com] teu povo; concede-me tua salvação.
5 To se in the goodnesse of thi chosun men, to be glad in the gladnes of thi folk; that thou be heried with thin eritage.
Para eu ver o bem de teus escolhidos; para eu me alegrar com a alegria de teu povo; para eu ter orgulho de tua herança.
6 We han synned with oure fadris; we han do vniustli, we han do wickidnesse.
Pecamos com nossos pais, fizemos o mal, agimos perversamente.
7 Oure fadris in Egipt vndirstoden not thi merueils; thei weren not myndeful of the multitude of thi merci. And thei stiynge in to the see, in to the reed see, terreden to wraththe;
Nossos pais no Egito não deram atenção a tuas maravilhas, nem se lembraram da abundância de tuas bondades; mas ao invés disso se rebelaram junto ao mar, perto do mar Vermelho.
8 and he sauede hem for his name, that `he schulde make knowun his power.
Apesar disso ele os livrou por causa de seu nome, para que seu poder fosse conhecido.
9 And he departide the reed see, and it was dried; and he lede forth hem in the depthis of watris as in deseert.
E repreendeu ao mar Vermelho, e [este] se secou; e os fez caminharem pelas profundezas [do mar], como que pelo deserto.
10 And he sauede hem fro the hond of hateris; and he ayen bouyte hem fro the hond of the enemye.
E os livrou das mãos daquele que os odiava, e os resgatou das mãos do inimigo.
11 And the watir hilide men troublynge hem; oon of hem abood not.
E as águas cobriram seus adversários; não sobrou nem um sequer deles.
12 And thei bileueden to hise wordis; and thei preisiden the heriynge of hym.
Então creram nas palavras dele, e cantaram louvores a ele.
13 Thei hadden `soone do, thei foryaten hise werkis; and thei abididen not his councel.
[Porém] logo se esqueceram das obras dele, e não esperaram pelo seu conselho.
14 And thei coueitiden coueitise in deseert; and temptiden God in a place with out watir.
Mas foram levados pelo mau desejo no deserto, e tentaram a Deus no lugar desabitado.
15 And he yaf to hem the axyng of hem; and he sente fulnesse in to the soulis of hem.
Então ele lhes concedeu o que pediam, porém enviou magreza a suas almas.
16 And thei wraththiden Moyses in the castels; Aaron, the hooli of the Lord.
E tiveram inveja de Moisés no acampamento; [e] de Arão, o santo do SENHOR.
17 The erthe was opened, and swolewid Datan; and hilide on the congregacioun of Abiron.
A terra se abriu, e engoliu a Datã; e encobriu ao grupo de Abirão.
18 And fier brente an hiye in the synagoge of hem; flawme brente synneris.
E o fogo consumiu o seu grupo; a chama queimou os perversos.
19 And thei maden a calf in Oreb; and worschipiden a yotun ymage.
Fizeram um bezerro em Horebe; e se inclinaram perante uma imagem de fundição.
20 And thei chaungiden her glorie; in to the liknesse of a calf etynge hei.
E mudaram sua glória na figura de um boi, que come erva.
21 Thei foryaten God, that sauede hem, that dide grete werkis in Egipt,
Esqueceram-se de Deus, o salvador deles, que tinha feito coisas grandiosas no Egito,
22 merueils in the lond of Cham; feerdful thingis in the reed see.
Maravilhas na terra de Cam, coisas temíveis no mar Vermelho.
23 And God seide, that he wolde leese hem; if Moises, his chosun man, hadde not stonde in the brekyng of his siyt. That he schulde turne awei his ire; lest he loste hem.
Por isso ele disse que teria os destruído, se Moisés, seu escolhido, não tivesse se posto na fenda diante dele, para desviar sua ira, para não os destruir.
24 And thei hadden the desirable lond for nouyt, thei bileueden not to his word, and thei grutchiden in her tabernaclis;
Eles também desprezaram a terra desejável, [e] não creram na palavra dele.
25 thei herden not the vois of the Lord.
E ao invés disso murmuraram em suas tendas, [e] não deram ouvidos à voz do SENHOR.
26 And he reiside his hond on hem; to caste doun hem in desert.
Por isso ele levantou sua mão contra eles, [jurando] que os derrubaria no deserto;
27 And to caste awei her seed in naciouns; and to leese hem in cuntreis.
E que derrubaria sua semente entre as nações; e os dispersaria pelas terras.
28 And thei maden sacrifice to Belfagor; and thei eeten the sacrificis of deed beestis.
Eles também passaram a adorar Baal-Peor, e a comer sacrifícios dos mortos.
29 And thei wraththiden God in her fyndyngis; and fallyng was multiplied in hem.
E o provocaram à ira com as obras deles; e [por isso] surgiu a praga entre eles.
30 And Fynees stood, and pleeside God; and the veniaunce ceesside.
Então se levantou Fineias, e interveio, e cessou aquela praga.
31 And it was arrettid to hym to riytfulnesse; in generacioun and in to generacioun, til in to with outen ende.
E isto lhe foi reconhecido como justiça, de geração em geração, para todo o sempre.
32 And thei wraththiden God at the watris of ayenseiyng; and Moises was trauelid for hem, for thei maden bittere his spirit,
Também o irritaram muito junto às águas de Meribá; e houve mal a Moisés por causa deles;
33 and he departide in his lippis.
Porque provocaram o seu espírito, de modo que ele falou imprudentemente com seus lábios.
34 Thei losten not hethen men; whiche the Lord seide to hem.
Eles não destruíram os povos que o SENHOR tinha lhes mandado;
35 And thei weren meddlid among hethene men, and lerneden the werkis of hem,
Mas ao invés disso, se misturaram com as nações, e aprenderam as obras delas;
36 and serueden the grauen ymagis of hem; and it was maad to hem in to sclaundre.
E serviram a seus ídolos; e vieram a lhes ser por laço de armadilha.
37 And thei offriden her sones; and her douytris to feendis.
Além disso, sacrificaram seus filhos e suas filhas a demônios,
38 And thei schedden out innocent blood, the blood of her sones and of her douytris; whiche thei sacrificiden to the grauun ymagis of Chanaan.
E derramaram sangue inocente, o sangue de seus filhos e de suas filhas, os quais eles sacrificaram aos ídolos de Canaã; e a terra foi profanada com [este] sangue.
39 And the erthe was slayn in bloodis, and was defoulid in the werkis of hem; and thei diden fornicacioun in her fyndyngis.
E contaminaram-se com suas obras; e se prostituíram com suas ações.
40 And the Lord was wrooth bi strong veniaunce ayens his puple; and hadde abhominacioun of his eritage.
Por isso a ira do SENHOR se acendeu contra seu povo; e ele odiou sua propriedade.
41 And he bitook hem in to the hondis of hethene men; and thei that hatiden hem, weren lordis of hem.
E os entregou nas mãos das nações estrangeiras, e aqueles que os odiavam passaram a dominá-los.
42 And her enemyes diden tribulacioun to hem, and thei weren mekid vndir the hondis of enemyes;
E seus inimigos os oprimiram, e foram humilhados sob as mãos deles.
43 ofte he delyuerede hem. But thei wraththiden hym in her counsel; and thei weren maad low in her wickidnessis.
Muitas vezes ele os livrou; mas eles [voltavam a] irritá-lo com seus pensamentos, e foram abatidos pela sua perversidade.
44 And he siye, whanne thei weren set in tribulacioun; and he herde the preyer of hem.
Apesar disso, ele observou a angústia deles, e ouviu quando eles clamaram.
45 And he was myndeful of his testament; and it repentide hym bi the multitude of his merci.
E ele se lembrou de seu pacto em [favor] deles, e sentiu pena conforme suas muitas bondades.
46 And he yaf hem in to mercies; in the siyt of alle men, that hadden take hem.
E fez com que todos os que os mantinham em cativeiro tivessem misericórdia deles.
47 Oure Lord God, make thou vs saaf; and gadere togidere vs fro naciouns. That we knouleche to thin hooli name; and haue glorie in thi preisyng.
Salva-nos, SENHOR nosso Deus, e ajunta-nos dentre as nações, para darmos graças ao teu santo nome, e termos orgulho em louvar a ti.
48 Blessid be the Lord God of Israel fro the world and til in to the world; and al the puple schal seye, Be it don, be it don.
Bendito [seja] o SENHOR, Deus de Israel, desde sempre e para sempre! E todo o povo diga Amém! Aleluia!
