Psalms 105
1 Alleluya. Knouleche ye to the Lord, and inwardli clepe ye his name; telle ye hise werkis among hethen men.
Celebrate l’Eterno, invocate il suo nome; fate conoscere le sue gesta fra popoli.
2 Synge ye to hym, and seie ye salm to him, and telle ye alle hise merueylis;
Cantategli, salmeggiategli, meditate su tutte le sue maraviglie.
3 be ye preisid in his hooli name. The herte of men sekynge the Lord be glad;
Gloriatevi nel santo suo nome; si rallegri il cuore di quelli che cercano l’Eterno!
4 seke ye the Lord, and be ye confermed; seke ye euere his face.
Cercate l’Eterno e la sua forza, cercate del continuo la sua faccia!
5 Haue ye mynde on hise merueilis, whiche he dide; on his grete wondris, and domes of his mouth.
Ricordatevi delle maraviglie ch’egli ha fatte, de’ suoi miracoli e dei giudizi della sua bocca,
6 The seed of Abraham, his seruaunt; the sones of Jacob, his chosun man.
o voi, progenie d’Abrahamo, suo servitore, figliuoli di Giacobbe, suoi eletti!
7 He is oure Lord God; hise domes ben in al the erthe.
Egli, l’Eterno, è l’Iddio nostro; i suoi giudizi s’esercitano su tutta la terra.
8 He was myndeful of his testament in to the world; of the word which he comaundide in to a thousynde generaciouns.
Egli si ricorda in perpetuo del suo patto, della parola da lui data per mille generazioni,
9 Which he disposide to Abraham; and of his ooth to Isaac.
del patto che fece con Abrahamo, del giuramento che fece ad Isacco,
10 And he ordeynede it to Jacob in to a comaundement; and to Israel in to euerlastinge testament.
e che confermò a Giacobbe come uno statuto, ad Israele come un patto eterno,
11 And he seide, I shal yiue to thee the lond of Canaan; the cord of youre eritage.
dicendo: Io ti darò il paese di Canaan per vostra parte di eredità.
12 Whanne thei weren in a litil noumbre; and the comelingis of hem weren ful fewe.
Non erano allora che poca gente, pochissimi e stranieri nel paese,
13 And thei passiden fro folk in to folk; and fro a rewme in to another puple.
e andavano da una nazione all’altra, da un regno a un altro popolo.
14 He lefte not a man to anoye hem; and he chastiside kyngis for hem.
Egli non permise che alcuno li opprimesse; anzi, castigò dei re per amor loro
15 Nile ye touche my cristis; and nyle ye do wickidli among my prophetis.
dicendo: Non toccate i miei unti, e non fate alcun male ai miei profeti.
16 And God clepide hungir on erthe; and he wastide al the stidefastnesse of breed.
Poi chiamò la fame sul paese, e fece mancar del tutto il sostegno del pane.
17 He sente a man bifore hem; Joseph was seeld in to a seruaunt.
Mandò dinanzi a loro un uomo. Giuseppe fu venduto come schiavo.
18 Thei maden lowe hise feet in stockis, irun passide by his soule; til the word of him cam.
I suoi piedi furon serrati nei ceppi, ei fu messo in catene di ferro,
19 The speche of the Lord enflawmede him;
fino al tempo che avvenne quello che avea detto, e la parola dell’Eterno, nella prova, gli rese giustizia.
20 the king sente and vnbond hym; the prince of puplis sente and delyuerede him.
Il re mandò a farlo sciogliere, il dominatore di popoli lo mise in libertà;
21 He ordeynede him the lord of his hous; and the prince of al his possessioun.
lo costituì signore della sua casa e governatore di tutti i suoi beni
22 That he schulde lerne hise princis as him silf; and that he schulde teche hise elde men prudence.
per incatenare i principi a suo talento, e insegnare ai suoi anziani la sapienza.
23 And Israel entride in to Egipt; and Jacob was a comeling in the lond of Cham.
Allora Israele venne in Egitto, e Giacobbe soggiornò nel paese di Cham.
24 And God encreesside his puple greetli; and made hym stidefast on hise enemyes.
Iddio fece moltiplicar grandemente il suo popolo, e lo rese più potente dei suoi avversari.
25 He turnede the herte of hem, that thei hatiden his puple; and diden gile ayens hise seruauntis.
Poi voltò il cuor loro perché odiassero il suo popolo, e macchinassero frodi contro i suoi servitori.
26 He sent Moises, his seruaunt; thilke Aaron, whom he chees.
Egli mandò Mosè, suo servitore, e Aaronne, che aveva eletto.
27 He puttide in hem the wordis of hise myraclis; and of hise grete wondris in the lond of Cham.
Essi compiron fra loro i miracoli da lui ordinati, fecero dei prodigi nella terra di Cham.
28 He sente derknessis, and made derk; and he made not bitter hise wordis.
Mandò le tenebre e fece oscurar l’aria, eppure non osservarono le sue parole.
29 He turnede the watris of hem in to blood; and he killide the fischis of hem.
Cangiò le acque loro in sangue, e fece morire i loro pesci.
30 And the lond of hem yaf paddoks; in the priue places of the kyngis of hem.
La loro terra brulicò di rane, fin nelle camere dei loro re.
31 God seide, and a fleische flie cam; and gnattis in alle the coostis of hem.
Egli parlò, e vennero mosche velenose e zanzare in tutto il loro territorio.
32 He settide her reynes hail; fier brennynge in the lond of hem.
Dette loro grandine invece di pioggia, fiamme di fuoco sul loro paese.
33 And he smoot the vynes of hem, and the fige trees of hem; and al to-brak the tree of the coostis of hem.
Percosse le loro vigne e i loro fichi e fracassò gli alberi del loro territorio.
34 He seide, and a locuste cam; and a bruk of which was noon noumbre.
Egli parlò e vennero le locuste e i bruchi senza numero,
35 And it eet al the hey in the lond of hem; and it eet al the fruyt of the lond of hem.
che divorarono tutta l’erba nel loro paese e mangiarono il frutto della loro terra.
36 And he killide ech the firste gendrid thing in the lond of hem; the firste fruitis of alle the trauel of hem.
Poi percosse tutti i primogeniti nel loro paese, le primizie d’ogni loro forza.
37 And he ledde out hem with siluer and gold; and noon was sijk in the lynagis of hem.
E fece uscire gli Israeliti con argento ed oro, e non vi fu alcuno, fra le sue tribù, che fosse fiacco.
38 Egipt was glad in the goyng forth of hem; for the drede of hem lai on Egipcians.
L’Egitto si rallegrò della loro partenza, poiché la paura d’essi era caduta su loro.
39 He spredde abrood a cloude, in to the hiling of hem; and fier, that it schynede to hem bi nyyt.
Egli distese una nuvola per ripararli, e accese un fuoco per rischiararli di notte.
40 Thei axiden, and a curlew cam; and he fillide hem with the breed of heuene.
A loro richiesta fece venire delle quaglie, e li saziò col pane del cielo.
41 He brak a stoon, and watris flowiden; floodis yeden forth in the drye place.
Egli aprì la roccia e ne scaturirono acque; esse corsero per luoghi aridi, come un fiume.
42 For he was myndeful of his hooli word; which he hadde to Abraham, his child.
Poiché egli si ricordò della sua parola santa e d’Abrahamo, suo servitore;
43 And he ledde out his puple in ful out ioiyng; and hise chosun men in gladnesse.
e trasse fuori il suo popolo con allegrezza, e i suoi eletti con giubilo.
44 And he yaf to hem the cuntreis of hethen men; and thei hadden in possessioun the trauels of puplis.
E dette loro i paesi delle nazioni, ed essi presero possesso della fatica dei popoli,
45 That thei kepe hise iustifiyngis; and seke his lawe.
perché osservassero i suoi statuti e ubbidissero alle sue leggi. Alleluia.
