Proverbs 8
1 Whether wisdom crieth not ofte; and prudence yyueth his vois?
¿No está la sabiduría clamando, y la voz de la inteligencia sonando?
2 In souereyneste and hiy coppis, aboue the weie, in the myddis of pathis,
En la parte superior de las autopistas, en la intersección de las carreteras, ella toma su lugar;
3 and it stondith bisidis the yate of the citee, in thilke closyngis, and spekith, and seith, A!
Cuando los caminos entran a la ciudad, se hace oír su grito, en las puertas su voz es fuerte:
4 ye men, Y crie ofte to you; and my vois is to the sones of men.
A ustedes les llamo, oh hombres; mi voz llegue a los hijos de los hombres.
5 Litle children, vndirstonde ye wisdom; and ye vnwise men, `perseyue wisdom.
Conviértanse en expertos en la razón, ¡oh, simples! ustedes tontos, tomen el entrenamiento de corazón.
6 Here ye, for Y schal speke of grete thingis; and my lippis schulen be openyd, to preche riytful thingis.
Escuchen, porque mis palabras son verdaderas, y mis labios están abiertos para dar a conocer lo recto.
7 My throte schal bithenke treuthe; and my lippis schulen curse a wickid man.
Porque la buena fe sale de mi boca, y los labios falsos me repugnan.
8 My wordis ben iust; no schrewid thing, nether weiward is in tho.
Todas las palabras de mi boca son justicia; no hay nada falso o retorcido en ellas.
9 `My wordis ben riytful to hem that vndurstonden; and ben euene to hem that fynden kunnyng.
Todas ellas son verdad a cuya mente está despierta, y directas para aquellos que obtienen conocimiento.
10 Take ye my chastisyng, and not money; chese ye teching more than tresour.
Toma mi enseñanza, y no plata; obtén conocimiento en lugar del mejor oro.
11 For wisdom is betere than alle richessis moost preciouse; and al desirable thing mai not be comparisound therto.
Porque la sabiduría es mejor que las joyas, y todas las cosas que se desean no son nada en comparación con ella.
12 Y, wisdom, dwelle in counsel; and Y am among lernyd thouytis.
Yo, la sabiduría, he convertido la conducta sabia en mi pariente cercano; Me ven como el amigo especial de los propósitos sabios.
13 The drede of the Lord hatith yuel; Y curse boost, and pride, and a schrewid weie, and a double tungid mouth.
El temor del Señor se ve al odiar el mal: el orgullo, una alta opinión de uno mismo, el mal camino y la falsa lengua, me son desagradables.
14 Counseil is myn, and equyte `is myn; prudence is myn, and strengthe `is myn.
El diseño inteligente y el buen sentido son míos; la razón y la fuerza son mías.
15 Kyngis regnen bi me; and the makeris of lawis demen iust thingis bi me.
A través de mí los reyes tienen su poder, y los gobernantes dan las decisiones correctas.
16 Princis comaunden bi me; and myyti men demen riytfulnesse bi me.
A través de mí, los jefes tienen autoridad, y los nobles juzgan en justicia.
17 I loue hem that louen me; and thei that waken eerli to me, schulen fynde me.
Los que me han dado su amor son amados por mí, y aquellos que me buscan con cuidado me hallarán.
18 With me ben rychessis, and glorie; souereyn richessis, and riytfulnesse.
La riqueza y el honor están en mis manos, incluso la riqueza sin igual y la justicia.
19 My fruyt is betere than gold, and precyouse stoon; and my seedis ben betere than chosun siluer.
Mejor es mi fruto que el oro, que el mejor oro; y mi aumento es más deseado que la plata.
20 Y go in the weies of riytfulnesse, in the myddis of pathis of doom;
En el camino de la justicia voy, en el camino de los juicios justos,
21 that Y make riche hem that louen me, and that Y fille her tresouris.
pues daré a los que me aman riquezas por su herencia, haciendo llenas sus tiendas.
22 The Lord weldide me in the bigynnyng of hise weies; bifore that he made ony thing, at the bigynnyng.
El Señor me hizo el comienzo de su camino, la primera de sus obras en el pasado.
23 Fro with out bigynnyng Y was ordeined; and fro elde tymes, bifor that the erthe was maad.
Desde los días eternos, me fue dado mi lugar, desde el nacimiento de los tiempos, antes que la tierra fuese.
24 Depthis of watris weren not yit; and Y was conseyued thanne. The wellis of watris hadden not brokun out yit,
Cuando no había fondo, me dieron a luz, cuando no había fuentes que fluyeran con agua.
25 and hillis stoden not togidere yit bi sad heuynesse; bifor litil hillis Y was born.
Antes que pusiera los montes en su lugar, antes de que nacieran las colinas,
26 Yit he hadde not maad erthe; and floodis, and the herris of the world.
cuando no había hecho la tierra, ni los campos, ni el polvo del mundo.
27 Whanne he made redi heuenes, Y was present; whanne he cumpasside the depthis of watris bi certeyn lawe and cumpas.
Cuando preparó los cielos, yo estaba allí: cuando puso un arco sobre la faz del abismo:
28 Whanne he made stidfast the eir aboue; and weiede the wellis of watris.
Cuando hizo fuertes los cielos arriba: cuando las fuentes del abismo se fijaron:
29 Whanne he cumpasside to the see his marke; and settide lawe to watris, that tho schulden not passe her coostis. Whanne he peiside the foundementis of erthe;
Cuando puso un límite al mar, para que las aguas no vayan en contra de su palabra: cuando puso en posición las bases de la tierra:
30 Y was making alle thingis with him. And Y delitide bi alle daies, and pleiede bifore hym in al tyme,
Entonces yo estaba a su lado, como un maestro de obras; y yo era su deleite día tras día, tocando delante de él en todo el tiempo;
31 and Y pleiede in the world; and my delices ben to be with the sones of men.
Jugando en su tierra; y mi deleite fue con los hijos de los hombres.
32 Now therfor, sones, here ye me; blessid ben thei that kepen my weies.
Escúchenme, hijos míos, porque son felices los que guardan mis caminos.
33 Here ye teching, and be ye wise men; and nile ye caste it awei.
Tomen ustedes mi enseñanza y háganse sabio; no la dejen ir.
34 Blessid is the man that herith me, and that wakith at my yatis al dai; and kepith at the postis of my dore.
Bienaventurado el hombre que me presta atención, mirando a mis puertas día tras día, manteniendo su lugar junto a las columnas de mi casa.
35 He that fyndith me, schal fynde lijf; and schal drawe helthe of the Lord.
Porque él que me recibe, obtiene vida, y la gracia del Señor vendrá a él.
36 But he that synneth ayens me, schal hurte his soule; alle that haten me, louen deeth.
Pero él que se aparta de mí, hace mal a su alma: todos mis enemigos están enamorados de la muerte.
