Philippians 1
1 Poul and Tymothe, seruauntis of Jhesu Crist, to alle the hooli men in Crist Jhesu, that ben at Filippis, with bischopis and dekenes,
Pablo y Timoteo, siervos de Cristo Jesús, a todos los santos en Cristo Jesús que están en Filipos con los obispos y diáconos:
2 grace and pees to you of God oure fadir, and of the Lord Jhesu Crist.
gracia a vosotros y paz, de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
3 I do thankyngis to my God
Doy gracias a mi Dios cada vez que me acuerdo de vosotros,
4 in al mynde of you euere more in alle my preyeris for alle you with ioye, and
y ruego siempre con gozo por todos vosotros en todas mis oraciones,
5 make a bisechyng on youre comynyng in the gospel of Crist, fro the firste day til nowe;
a causa de vuestra participación en el Evangelio, desde el primer día hasta ahora.
6 tristenynge this ilke thing, that he that bigan in you a good werk, schal perfourme it til in to the dai of Jhesu Crist.
Tengo la firme confianza de que Aquel que en vosotros comenzó la buena obra, la perfeccionará hasta el día de Cristo Jesús.
7 As it is iust to me to feele this thing for alle you, for that Y haue you in herte, and in my boondis, and in defending and confermyng of the gospel, that alle ye be felowis of my ioye.
Y es justo que yo piense así de todos vosotros, por cuanto os llevo en el corazón; pues tanto en mis prisiones como en la defensa y confirmación del Evangelio todos vosotros sois partícipes de mi gracia.
8 For God is a witnesse to me, hou Y coueyte alle you in the bowelis of Jhesu Crist.
Porque testigo me es Dios de mi anhelo por todos vosotros en las entrañas de Cristo Jesús.
9 And this thing Y preie, that youre charite be plenteuouse more and more in kunnyng, and in al wit;
Lo que pido en mi oración es que vuestro amor abunde más y más en conocimiento y en todo discernimiento,
10 that ye preue the betere thingis, that ye be clene and without offence in the dai of Crist;
para que sepáis apreciar lo mejor y seáis puros e irreprensibles hasta el día de Cristo,
11 fillid with the fruyt of riytwysnesse bi Jhesu Crist, in to the glory and the heriyng of God.
llenos de frutos de justicia, por medio de Jesucristo, para gloria y alabanza de Dios.
12 For, britheren, Y wole that ye wite, that the thingis that ben aboute me han comun more to the profit of the gospel,
Quiero que sepáis, hermanos, que las cosas que me han sucedido, han redundado en mayor progreso del Evangelio,
13 so that my boondis weren maad knowun in Crist, in ech moot halle, and in alle other placis;
de tal manera que se ha hecho notorio, en todo el pretorio y entre todos los demás, que llevo mis cadenas por Cristo.
14 that mo of britheren tristinge in the Lord more plenteuously for my boondis, dursten without drede speke the word of God.
Y los más de mis hermanos en el Señor, cobrando ánimo con mis prisiones, tienen mayor intrepidez en anunciar sin temor la Palabra de Dios.
15 But summe for enuye and strijf, summe for good wille, prechen Crist;
Algunos, es cierto, predican a Cristo por envidia y rivalidad, mas otros con buena intención;
16 and summe of charite, witinge that Y am put in the defense of the gospel.
unos por amor, sabiendo que estoy constituido para la defensa del Evangelio,
17 But summe of strijf schewen Crist not cleneli, gessynge hem to reise tribulacioun to my boondis.
mas otros predican a Cristo por emulación, no con recta intención, ya que creen causar tribulación a mis cadenas.
18 But what? the while on al maner, ethir bi occasioun, ethir bi treuthe, Crist is schewid; and in this thing Y haue ioye, but also Y schal haue ioye.
¿Mas qué? De todas maneras, sea con pretexto, sea con verdad, es predicado Cristo. En esto me regocijo y no dejaré de regocijarme.
19 And Y woot, that this thing schal come to me in to heelthe bi youre preyer, and the vndurmynystring of the spirit of `Jhesu Crist, bi myn abidyng and hope.
Porque sé que esto resultará en mi provecho gracias a vuestra oración y a la asistencia del Espíritu de Jesucristo,
20 For in no thing Y schal be schamed, but in al trist as euere more and now, Crist schal be magnefied in my bodi, ether bi lijf, ether bi deth.
según mi firme expectación y esperanza de que en nada seré confundido; sino que, con toda libertad, ahora lo mismo que siempre, Cristo será enaltecido en mi cuerpo, sea por vida, o por muerte.
21 For me to lyue is Crist, and to die is wynnyng.
Porque para mí el vivir es Cristo, y el morir ganancia.
22 That if to lyue in fleisch, is fruyt of werk to me, lo! what Y schal chese, Y knowe not.
Mas si el vivir en la carne significa para mí trabajo fecundo, no sé qué escoger.
23 But Y am constreyned of twei thingis, Y haue desire to be dissolued, and to be with Crist, it is myche more betere; but to dwelle in fleisch,
Estrechado estoy por ambos lados: tengo deseo de morir y estar con Cristo, lo cual sería mucho mejor;
24 is nedeful for you.
por otra parte el quedarme en la carne es más necesario por vosotros.
25 And Y tristinge this thing, woot that Y schal dwelle, and perfitli dwelle to alle you, to youre profit and ioye of feith,
Persuadido, pues, de esto ya sé que me quedaré y permaneceré para todos vosotros, para vuestro provecho gozo en la fe,
26 that youre thanking abounde in Crist Jhesu in me, bi my comyng eftsoone to you.
a fin de que abunde vuestra gloria en Cristo Jesús, a causa mía, con motivo de mi reaparición entre vosotros.
27 Oneli lyue ye worthili to the gospel of Crist, that whether whanne Y come and se you, ethir absent Y here of you, that ye stonden in o spirit of o wille, trauelinge togidere to the feith of the gospel.
Solo que vuestra manera de vivir sea digna del Evangelio de Cristo; para que, sea que yo vaya y os vea, o que me quede ausente, oiga decir de vosotros que estáis firmes en un mismo espíritu y lucháis juntamente, con una misma alma, por la fe del Evangelio,
28 And in no thing be ye aferd of aduersaries, which is to hem cause of perdicioun,
sin amedrentaros por nada ante los adversarios, lo cual es para ellos señal de perdición, mas para vosotros de salvación, y esto por favor de Dios.
29 but to you cause of heelthe. And this thing is of God. For it is youun to you for Crist, that not oneli ye bileuen in hym, but also that ye suffren for hym;
Porque os ha sido otorgado, por la gracia de Cristo, no solo el creer en Él, sino también el padecer por la causa de Él,
30 hauynge the same strijf, which ye saien in me, and now ye han herd of me.
teniendo la misma lucha que visteis en mí y ahora oís que sufro.
