1 And the Lord spak these thingis to Moises, in the feeldi places of Moab, aboue Jordan,
Antan yo nan plenn Moab yo, lòt bò larivyè Jouden, sou bò solèy leve anfas lavil Jeriko, Seyè a pale ak Moyiz, li di l' konsa:
2 ayens Jericho, Comaunde thou to the sones of Israel, that thei yyue to dekenes of her possessiouns,
-W'a bay moun pèp Izrayèl yo lòd pou yo pran nan pòsyon tè yo resevwa a kèk lavil pou yo bay moun Levi yo pou yo rete, ansanm ak savann ki toutotou lavil sa yo pou yo ka fè gadinaj.
3 citees to dwelle, and the suburbabis of tho bi cumpas, that thei dwelle in `the citees, and the suburbabis be to beestis, and `werk beestis;
Se nan lavil sa yo moun Levi yo va rete. Savann sa yo va rete pou yo, y'a sèvi pou zannimo yo ak pou tout lòt bèt y'a genyen.
4 whiche suburbabis schulen be strecchid forth fro the wallis of citees with outforth `bi cumpas, in the space of a thousynde paacis;
Savann yo va toutotou lavil yo. Y'a mezire mil senksan (1.500) pye depi ranpa lavil la nan chak direksyon.
5 ayens the eest schulen be two thousynde cubitis, and ayens the south in lijk manere schulen be two thousynde cubitis, and at the see that biholdith to the west schal be the same mesure, and the north coost schal be endid bi euene terme. And the citees schulen be in the myddis, and the suburbabis with outforth.
Konsa, savann yo va fè yon gwo teren kare kare ki va mezire twamil (3.000) pye sou chak bò: twamil pye sou bò lès, twamil pye sou bò lwès, twamil pye sou bò nò, twamil pye sou bò sid ak lavil la nan mitan l'. Y'a sèvi kote pou bèt moun Levi ki rete nan lavil la jwenn manje.
6 Forsothe of tho citees whiche ye schulen yyue to dekenes, sixe schulen be departid in to helpis of fugityues, `ether of fleynge men, that he that schedde blood, fle to tho; and outakun these sixe, ye schulen yyue to dekenes othere two and fourti citees,
Nan lavil n'a bay moun Levi yo, gen sis ladan yo ki va sèvi pou bay moun ki touye moun pwoteksyon. Apa sis lavil sa yo, n'a bay moun Levi yo karannde lòt lavil ankò.
7 that is, togidere eiyte and fourti, with her surburbabis.
Antou, se pou nou bay moun Levi yo karantwit lavil ak tout savann pou bèt yo.
8 And tho citees that schulen be youun of the possessiouns of sones of Israel, schulen be takun awey, mo fro hem that han more, and fewere `schulen be takun awey fro hem that han lesse, alle bi hem silf schulen yyue bi the mesure of her eritage, citees to dekenes.
Lè n'ap wete nan pòsyon ki pou pèp Izrayèl la lavil pou moun Levi yo, chak fanmi va bay dapre pòsyon tè li te resevwa. Sa ki gen pi gwo pòsyon an va bay plis. Sa ki gen ti pòsyon an va bay mwens.
9 The Lord seide to Moises,
Seyè a pale ak Moyiz, li di l' konsa:
10 Spek thou to the sones of Israel, and thou schalt seie to hem, Whanne ye han passid Jordan, in the lond of Canaan,

11 deme ye whiche citees owen to be in to the helpis of fugityues, whiche not wilfuli han sched blood.
se pou nou chwazi kèk lavil kote yon moun ki touye yon lòt san li pa fè espre ka kouri chache pwoteksyon.
12 In whiche whanne the fleere hath fled, the kynesman of hym that is slayn, schal not mow sle hym, til he stonde in the siyt of the multitude, and the cause of hym be demed.
Se la y'a pwoteje l' anba fanmi mò a ki ta chache tire revanj mò a. Yo p'ap gen dwa touye l' toutotan yo pa jije l' devan tout moun.
13 Forsothe of tho citees that ben departid to the helpis of fugityues,
Nan lavil n'a bay moun Levi yo, sis va sèvi pou bay moun konsa pwoteksyon,
14 thre schulen be ouer Jordan, and thre in the lond of Canaan;
twa lòt bò larivyè Jouden an sou bò solèy leve, twa bò isit nan peyi Kanaran an.
15 as wel to the sones of Israel as to comelyngis and pilgryms; that he fle to tho citees, that schedde blood not wilfuli.
Sis lavil sa yo va sèvi ni pou moun peyi a ni pou moun lòt nasyon k'ap viv nan mitan nou osinon ki depasaj. Se la tout moun ki touye yon lòt san fè espre va kouri chache pwoteksyon.
16 If ony man smytith a man with yrun, and he that is smytun is deed, `the smyter schal be gilti of mansleyng, and he schal die.
Si yon moun frape yon lòt ak yon bout fè epi li touye l', se ansasen li ye, se pou yo touye l' tou.
17 If he castith a stoon, and a man is deed bi the strook, he schal be punyschid in lijk maner.
Si yon moun bay yon lòt yon kout wòch epi li touye l', se ansasen li ye, se pou yo touye l' tou.
18 If a man smytun with a staf dieth, he schal be vengid bi `the blood of the smytere.
Si yon moun bay yon lòt yon kout bwa epi li touye l', se ansasen li ye, se pou yo touye l' tou.
19 The niy kynesman of hym that is slayn schal sle the mansleere; anoon as he takith hym, `that is, the manquellere, he schal sle hym.
Moun ki fanmi pi pre moun yo touye a va reskonsab pou li touye ansasen an, nenpòt kilè li bare avè l'.
20 If bi haterede a man hurtlith, `ethir schoufith, `a man, ethir castith ony thing in to hym bi aspiyngis,
Si yon moun rayi yon lòt epi li ba li yon move bourad pou li touye l', osinon si li voye yon bagay dèyè l' pou touye l',
21 ether whanne he was enemy, smoot with hond, and he is deed, the smytere schal be gilti of mansleyng. The kynesman `of him that is slayn, anoon as he findith him, `that is, the sleere, schal sle hym.
oswa ankò, paske li pa vle wè l' li bat li ak koutpwen pou l' touye l', epi li touye l' vre, li gen pou l' mouri tou. Se yon ansasen li ye. Moun ki fanmi pi pre moun li touye a va reskonsab pou touye l' tou, nenpòt lè li bare avè l'.
22 That if bi sudeyn caas, and without hatrede and enemytees,
Men, sipoze yon moun bay yon lòt yon move bourad san li pa fè espre, san li pa rayi l', osinon li voye yon bagay konsa konsa, epi l' al pran yon moun move kote san li pa t'ap voye l' dèyè l',
23 he doith ony thing of these;
oswa ankò, sipoze li voye yon wòch epi li pa wè sa, wòch la al tonbe sou yon moun, li touye l' frèt, san li pa t' rayi moun lan ni li pa t'ap chache fè moun lan mal,
24 and this is preued in heryng `of the puple, and the questioun of blood is discussid bitwixe the smytere and the kynesman,
nan ka sa yo, men regleman pou moun pèp Izrayèl yo swiv pou yo regle bagay la ant moun ki te touye lòt la ak fanmi pi pre moun mouri a ki reskonsab pou tire revanj la.
25 the innocent schal be delyuered fro the hond of the vengere, and bi sentence of iugis he schal be led ayen in to the citee, to which he fledde, and he schal dwelle there, til the grete preest die, which is anoyntid with oile.
Pèp la va sove moun ki te touye lòt la anba men fanmi pi pre moun li touye a, l'a fè l' tounen nan lavil kote li te al kache kò l' la. Moun ki te touye lòt la va rete la jouk granprèt ki la lè sa a pou fè sèvis Bondye a va mouri.
26 If the sleere is foundun with out the coostis `of the citees that ben asigned to exilid men,
Si moun ki touye lòt la ta rive soti andeyò limit lavil kote li kache a,
27 and is slayn of him that is vengere, he that sleeth him, `that is, the exilid man, schal be with out gilt;
si moun ki fanmi pi pre moun li touye a bare avè l', epi li touye l', yo pa gen dwa fè fanmi pre a peye pou sa l' fè a.
28 for the exilid man ouyte sitte in the citee `til to the `deth of the bischop; forsothe aftir that thilke bischop is deed, the mansleere schal turne ayen in to his lond.
Paske moun ki touye yon lòt san li pa fè espre a fèt pou rete nan lavil kote li te kache a jouk granprèt ki la lè sa a va mouri. Se apre lanmò granprèt la ase l'a ka tounen lakay li.
29 These schulen be euerlastynge and lawful thingis in alle youre dwellyngis.
Regleman sa yo va sèvi tankou yon lwa pou nou pou tout tan, de pitit an pitit, kote nou pase.
30 A mansleere schal be punyschid vndur witnessis; no man schal `be dampned at the witnessyng of o man.
Lè yon moun touye yon lòt, anvan yo touye l', se pou yo gen depozisyon divès temwen kont li. Depozisyon yon sèl temwen pa kont pou kondannen yon moun.
31 Ye schulen not take prijs of him which is gilti of blood, anoon and he schal die.
Nou pa gen dwa asepte lajan pou sove lavi yon moun yo kondannen pou mouri paske li touye yon lòt. Wè pa wè se pou nonm sa a mouri.
32 Men exilid, and fugityues, schulen not mow turne ayen in ony maner in to her citees, bifore the deeth of the bischop, lest ye defoulen the lond of youre abitacioun,
Ni nou pa gen dwa asepte lajan pou penmèt yon moun ki kite lavil kote l' te kache a pou l' al lakay li anvan granprèt ki la lè sa a mouri.
33 which is defoulid bi the blood of innocent men; and it may not be clensid in other maner, no but bi the blood of hym, that schedde the blood of anothir man.
Piga nou janm fè bagay ki pou fè Bondye vire do bay peyi kote nou pral viv la. Lè yon moun touye yon lòt moun, se sa k'ap mete peyi a nan kondisyon li derespekte Bondye ak san ki koule a. Lè konsa, pa gen lòt mwayen pou fè Bondye padonnen peyi a pase se touye pou nou touye moun ki touye a.
34 And so youre possessioun schal be clensid, for Y schal dwelle with you; for Y am the Lord, that dwelle among the sones of Israel.
Piga nou janm fè bagay ki pou fè Bondye vire do bay peyi kote nou rete a, paske mwen menm Seyè a, se nan mitan moun pèp Izrayèl yo, nan mitan peyi kote yo rete a, mwen rete tou.
