Numbers 3
1 These ben the generaciouns of Aaron and of Moises, in the dai in which the Lord spak to Moises, in the hil of Synay.
Questi sono i discendenti di Aronne e di Mosè quando il Signore parlò a Mosè sul monte Sinai.
2 And these ben the names of `the sones of Aaron; his first gendrid, Nadab; aftirward, Abyu, and Eleazar, and Ythamar; these ben the names of `Aarons sones,
Questi sono i nomi dei figli di Aronne: Nadab il primogenito, Abiu, Eleazaro e Itamar.
3 preestis, that weren anoyntid, and whos hondis weren fillid and halewid, that thei schulden `be set in preesthod.
Tali i nomi dei figli di Aronne che ricevettero l'unzione come sacerdoti e furono consacrati per esercitare il sacerdozio.
4 Nadab and Abyu, whanne thei offeriden alien fier in the `siyt of the Lord, in the deseert of Synay, weren deed without fre children; and Eleazar and Ythamar `weren set in preesthod bifor Aaron hir fadir.
Nadab e Abiu morirono davanti al Signore, quando offrirono fuoco profano davanti al Signore, nel deserto del Sinai. Essi non avevano figli ed Eleazaro e Itamar esercitarono il sacerdozio in presenza di Aronne, loro padre.
5 And the Lord spak to Moises,
Il Signore disse a Mosè:
6 `and seide, `Presente thou the lynage of Leuy, and make to stonde in the siyt of Aaron, preest, that thei mynystre to hym;
«Fà avvicinare la tribù dei leviti e presentala al sacerdote Aronne, perché sia al suo servizio.
7 and wake, and that thei kepe what euer thing perteyneth to the religioun of multitude, bifor the tabernacle of witnessyng;
Essi custodiranno quanto è affidato a lui e a tutta la comunità davanti alla tenda del convegno e presteranno servizio alla Dimora.
8 and that thei kepe the vessels of the tabernacle, and serue in the seruyce therof.
Avranno in custodia tutti gli arredi della tenda del convegno e di quanto è affidato agli Israeliti e presteranno servizio alla Dimora.
9 And thou schalt yyue bi fre yifte the Leuytis to Aaron and hise sones, to whiche thei ben youun of the sones of Israel.
Assegnerai i leviti ad Aronne e ai suoi figli; essi gli sono dati tutti tra gli Israeliti.
10 Sotheli thou schalt ordeyne Aaron and hise sones on the religioun of preesthod; a straungere, that neiyeth for to mynystre, and schal die.
Tu stabilirai Aronne e i suoi figli, perché custodiscano le funzioni del loro sacerdozio; l'estraneo che vi si accosterà sarà messo a morte».
11 And the Lord spak to Moyses, `and seide,
Il Signore disse a Mosè:
12 Y haue take the Leuytis of the sones of Israel for ech firste gendrid thing that openeth the womb in the sones of Israel; and the Leuytis schulen be myne,
«Ecco, io ho scelto i leviti tra gli Israeliti al posto di ogni primogenito che nasce per primo dal seno materno tra gli Israeliti; i leviti saranno miei,
13 for ech firste gendrid thing is myn; sithen Y smoot the firste gendrid in the lond of Egipt, Y halewide to me what euer thing is borun first in Israel; fro man `til to beest thei ben myne; Y am the Lord.
perché ogni primogenito è mio. Quando io colpii tutti i primogeniti nel paese d'Egitto, io mi riservai in Israele tutti i primogeniti degli uomini e degli animali; essi saranno miei. Io sono il Signore».
14 And the Lord spak to Moises in the deseert
Il Signore disse a Mosè nel deserto del Sinai:
15 of Synay, and seide, Noumbre thou the sones of Leuy bi `the housis of her fadris, and bi meynees, ech male fro o monethe and aboue.
«Fà il censimento dei figli di Levi, secondo i casati dei loro padri e le loro famiglie; farai il censimento di tutti i maschi dall'età di un mese in su».
16 Moises noumbride, as the Lord comaundide.
Mosè ne fece il censimento secondo l'ordine del Signore, come gli era stato comandato di fare.
17 And the sones of Leuy weren foundun, bi her names, Gerson, and Caath, and Merary;
Questi sono i figli di Levi secondo i loro nomi: Gherson, Keat e Merari.
18 the sones of Gerson weren Lebny, and Semey;
Questi i nomi dei figli di Gherson, secondo le loro famiglie: Libni e Simei.
19 the sones of Caath weren Amram, and Jessaar, Hebron, and Oziel;
I figli di Keat secondo le loro famiglie: Amram, Isear, Ebron e Uzziel.
20 and the sones of Merari weren Mooly, and Musi.
I figli di Merari secondo le loro famiglie: Macli e Musi. Queste sono le famiglie dei leviti secondo i loro casati paterni.
21 Of Gerson weren twei meynees, of Lebny, and of Semei;
Da Gherson discendono la famiglia dei Libniti e la famiglia dei Simeiti, che formano le famiglie dei Ghersoniti.
22 of whiche the puple of male kynde was noumbrid, fro o monethe and aboue, seuene thousynde and fyue hundrid.
Coloro che furono registrati, contando tutti i maschi dall'età di un mese in su, erano settemilacinquecento.
23 These schulen sette tentis aftir the tabernacle at the west,
Le famiglie dei Ghersoniti avevano il campo dietro la Dimora, a occidente.
24 vndur the prince Eliasaph, the sone of Jahel.
Il capo del casato paterno per i Ghersoniti era Eliasaf, figlio di Lael.
25 And thei schulen haue kepyngis in the tabernacle of boond of pees, the tabernacle it silf, and the hilyng therof, the tente which is drawun bifor the yatis of the hilyng of the witnessyng of boond of pees;
Per quello che riguarda la tenda del convegno i figli di Gherson avevano la custodia della Dimora e della tenda, della sua coperta, della cortina all'ingresso della tenda del convegno,
26 and the curteyns of the greet street, also the tente which is hangid in the entryng of the greet street of the tabernacle, and what euer thing perteyneth to the custom of the auter, the cordis of the tabernacle, and al the purtenaunce therof.
dei tendaggi del recinto e della cortina alla porta del recinto intorno alla Dimora e all'altare e delle corde per tutto il suo impianto.
27 The kynrede of Caath schal haue the puplis of Amram, and of Jessaar, and of Ebron, and of Oziel;
Da Keat discendono la famiglia degli Amramiti, la famiglia degli Iseariti, la famiglia degli Ebroniti e la famiglia degli Uzzieliti, che formano le famiglie dei Keatiti.
28 these ben the meynees of Caathitis, noumbrid bi her names, alle of male kynde, fro o monethe and aboue, eiyte thousynde and sixe hundrid.
Contando tutti i maschi dall'età di un mese in su, erano ottomilaseicento, che avevano la custodia del santuario.
29 Thei schulen haue kepyngis of the seyntuarie, and schulen sette tentis at the south coost;
Le famiglie dei figli di Keat avevano il campo al lato meridionale della Dimora.
30 and `the prince of hem schal be Elisaphan, the sone of Oziel.
Il capo del casato paterno per i Keatiti era Elisafan, figlio di Uzziel.
31 And thei schulen kepe the arke, and the boord, and the candilstike, the auters, and vesselis of the seyntuarie in whiche it is mynystrid, and the veil, and al sich purtenaunce.
Alla loro custodia erano affidati l'arca, la tavola, il candelabro, gli altari e gli arredi del santuario con cui si esercita il ministero, il velo e quanto si riferisce al suo impianto.
32 Sotheli the prince of princis of Leuytis schal be Eleazar, the sone of Aaron, preest; and he schal be on the keperis of the kepyng of the seyntuarie.
Il capo supremo dei leviti era Eleazaro, figlio del sacerdote Aronne; egli aveva la sorveglianza di quelli che attendevano alla custodia del santuario.
33 And sotheli of Merary schulen be the puplis of Mooli, and of Musi,
Da Merari discendono la famiglia dei Macliti e la famiglia dei Musiti che formano le famiglie di Merari.
34 noumbrid bi her names, alle of male kynde fro o monethe and aboue, sixe thousynde and two hundrid;
Coloro che furono registrati, contando tutti i maschi dall'età di un mese in su, erano seimiladuecento.
35 `the prince of hem schal be Suriel, the sone of Abiahiel; thei schulen sette tentis in the north coost.
Il capo del casato paterno per le famiglie di Merari era Suriel, figlio di Abicail. Essi avevano il campo dal lato settentrionale della Dimora.
36 And vndur `the kepyng of hem schulen be the tablis of the tabernacle, and the barris, and the pileris, and `the foundementis of tho, and alle thingis that perteynen to sich ournyng,
Alla custodia dei figli di Merari furono affidati le tavole della Dimora, le sue stanghe, le sue colonne e le loro basi, tutti i suoi arredi e quanto si riferisce al suo impianto,
37 and the pileris of the greet street bi cumpas, with her foundementis, and the stakis with coordis.
le colonne del recinto tutto intorno, le loro basi, i loro picchetti e le loro corde.
38 Forsothe Moises and Aaron with hise sones schulen sette tentis bifor the tabernacle of boond of pees, that is, at the eest coost, and schulen haue the keping of the seyntuarie, in the myddis of the sones of Israel; what euer alien neiyeth, he schal die.
Sul davanti della Dimora a oriente, di fronte alla tenda del convegno, verso levante, avevano il campo Mosè, Aronne e i suoi figli; essi avevano la custodia del santuario invece degli Israeliti; l'estraneo che vi si avvicinava sarebbe stato messo a morte.
39 Alle the Leuytis, whiche Moises and Aaron noumbriden, bi comaundement of the Lord, bi her meynees, in male kynde, fro o monethe and aboue, were two and twenti thousynd.
Tutti i leviti di cui Mosè e Aronne fecero il censimento secondo le loro famiglie per ordine del Signore, tutti i maschi dall'età di un mese in su, erano ventiduemila.
40 And the Lord seide to Moises, Noumbre thou the firste gendrid children of male kynde of the sones of Israel, fro o monethe and aboue; and thou schalt haue the summe of hem; and
Il Signore disse a Mosè: «Fà il censimento di tutti i primogeniti maschi tra gli Israeliti dall'età di un mese in su e fà il censimento dei loro nomi.
41 thou schalt take Leuytis to me for alle the firste gendrid of the sones of Israel; Y am the Lord; and thou schalt take `the beestis of hem for alle the firste gendrid of the sones of Israel.
Prenderai i leviti per me - Io sono il Signore - invece di tutti i primogeniti degli Israeliti e il bestiame dei leviti invece dei primi parti del bestiame degli Israeliti».
42 And as the Lord comaundide, Moises noumbride the firste gendrid children of the sones of Israel; and the males weren bi her names,
Mosè fece il censimento di tutti i primogeniti tra gli Israeliti, secondo l'ordine che il Signore gli aveva dato.
43 fro o monethe and aboue, two and twenti thousynde two hundrid and seuenti and thre.
Tutti i primogeniti maschi che furono registrati, contando i nomi dall'età di un mese in su, furono ventiduemiladuecentosettantatrè.
44 And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide,
Il Signore parlò a Mosè:
45 Take thou Leuytis for the firste gendrid children of the sones of Israel, and the beestis of Leuytis for the beestis of hem, and the Leuytis schulen be myne; Y am the Lord.
«Prendi i leviti invece di tutti i primogeniti degli Israeliti e il bestiame dei leviti invece del loro bestiame; i leviti saranno miei. Io sono il Signore.
46 Forsothe in the prijs of two hundrid seuenti and thre, that passen the noumbre of `Leuytis, of the firste gendrid children of the sones of Israel,
Per il riscatto dei duecentosettantatrè primogeniti degli Israeliti che oltrepassano il numero dei leviti,
47 thou schalt take fyue ciclis bi ech heed, at the mesure of seyntuarie; a sicle hath xx. halpens;
prenderai cinque sicli a testa; li prenderai secondo il siclo del santuario, che è di venti ghera.
48 and thou schalt yyue the money to Aaron and to hise sones, the prijs of hem that ben aboue.
Darai il denaro ad Aronne e ai suoi figli per il riscatto di quelli che oltrepassano il numero dei leviti».
49 Therfor Moises took the money of hem that weren aboue, and whiche thei hadden ayenbouyt of the Leuytis, for the firste gendrid of the sones of Israel,
Mosè prese il denaro per il riscatto di quelli che oltrepassavano il numero dei primogeniti riscattati dai leviti;
50 a thousand thre hundrid sixti and fyue of siclis, bi the weiyte of seyntuarie;
prese il denaro dai primogeniti degli Israeliti: milletrecentosessantacinque sicli, secondo il siclo del santuario.
51 and he yaf that money to Aaron and to hise sones, bi the word which the Lord comaundide to hym.
Mosè diede il denaro del riscatto ad Aronne e ai suoi figli, secondo l'ordine del Signore, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
