Numbers 16
1 Lo! forsothe Chore, the sone of Isuar, sone of Caath, sone of Leuy, and Dathan and Abiron, the sones of Heliab, and Hon, the sone of Pheleph, of the sones of Ruben, rysen ayens Moises,
Und es unternahm sich Korach, der Sohn Jizhars, des Sohnes Kohaths, des Sohnes Levis, und Dathan und Abiram, Söhne Eliabs, und On, Peleths Sohn, Rubens Söhne,
2 and othere of the sones of Israel, two hundryd men and fifti, prynces of the synagoge, and whiche weren clepid bi names in the tyme of counsel.
Und sie standen auf vor Mose und zweihundertfünfzig Männer aus den Söhnen Israels, Fürsten der Gemeinde, Berufene der Versammlung, Männer von Namen.
3 And whanne `thei hadden stonde ayens Moises and Aaron, thei seiden, Suffice it to you, for al the multitude is of hooly men, and the Lord is in hem; whi ben ye reisid on the puple of the Lord?
Und sie versammelten sich gegen Mose und gegen Aharon und sprachen zu ihnen: Zu viel wollet ihr für euch! Denn die ganze Gemeinde, alle in ihr sind heilig, und Jehovah ist in ihrer Mitte. Und warum erhebt ihr euch über die Versammlung Jehovahs.
4 And whanne Moises hadde herd this, he felde lowe on the face.
Und Mose hörte es und fiel auf sein Angesicht,
5 And he spak to Chore, and to al the multitude; he seide, Eerli the Lord schal make knowun whiche perteynen to hym, and he schal applie to hym hooli men; and thei whiche he hath chose, schulen neiye to hym.
Und redete zu Korach und zu seiner ganzen Gemeinde und sprach: Am Morgen, da wird Jehovah wissen lassen, wer Sein und wer heilig ist, daß Er ihn Sich nahen läßt; und wen Er erwählt, den wird Er Sich nahen lassen.
6 Therfor do ye this thing; ech man take his cencere, thou Chore, and al thi counsel;
Tut so: Nehmet euch Rauchpfannen, Korach und seine ganze Gemeinde.
7 and to morewe whanne fier is takun vp, putte ye encense aboue bifor the Lord, and whom euer the Lord chesith, he schal be hooli. Ye sones of Leuy ben myche reisid.
Und tut Feuer darein und legt Räuchwerk darauf vor Jehovah, morgen. Und es soll sein, der Mann, den Jehovah erwählen wird, der soll heilig sein. Ihr wollt zu viel, Söhne Levis.
8 And eft Moises seide to Chore, Ye sones of Leuy, here.
Und Mose sprach zu Korach: Höret doch, ihr Söhne Levis!
9 Whether it is litil to you, that God of Israel departide you fro al the puple, and ioynede you to hym silf, that ye schulden serue hym in the seruyce of tabernacle, and that ye schulden stonde bifor the multitude of puple, and schulden serue hym?
Ist es euch zu wenig, daß der Gott Israels aus der Gemeinde Israels euch ausgeschieden hat, daß Er euch Ihm nahen läßt, daß ihr dienet den Dienst an der Wohnung Jehovahs, und vor der Gemeinde stehet Dienst zu tun?
10 Made he therfor thee and alle thi bretheren the sones of Leuy to neiy to hym silf, that ye chalenge to you also preesthod,
Und Er hat dich und all deine Brüder, die Söhne Levis, mit dir Sich nahen lassen, und nun trachtet ihr auch nach dem Priestertum.
11 and al thi gaderyng togidere stonde ayens the Lord? For whi what is Aaron, that ye grutchen ayens hym?
Fürwahr, du und all deine Gemeinde, ihr tut euch wider Jehovah zusammen; denn was ist Aharon, daß ihr wider ihn murret?
12 Therfor Moises sente to clepe Dathan and Abiron, the sones of Heliab; whiche answeriden, We comen not.
Und Mose sandte hin, Dathan und Abiram, die Söhne Eliabs, zu rufen; sie sagten aber: Wir gehen nicht hinauf.
13 Whethir is it litil to thee, that thou leddist vs out of the lond that flowide with mylk and hony, to sle vs in the deseert, no but also thou be lord of vs?
Ist es noch zu wenig, daß du uns aus einem Lande heraufgeführt, das von Milch und Honig fließt, um uns in der Wüste zu töten, und willst auch noch als Oberster über uns schalten?
14 Verili thou hast bronyt vs in to the lond that flowith with streemys of mylk and hony, and hast youe to vs possessioun of feeldis, and of vyneris; whethir also thou wolt putte out oure iyen?
Ja, auch nicht in ein Land, das von Milch und Honig fließt, hast du uns hineingebracht, daß du uns ein Erbe an Feld und Weinberg gäbest. Willst du diesen Leuten die Augen ausstechen? Wir kommen nicht hinauf.
15 We comen not. And Moises was wrooth greetli, and seide to the Lord, Biholde thou not the sacrifices of hem; thou wost that Y took neuere of hem, yhe, a litil asse, nethir Y turmentide ony of hem.
Und Mose entbrannte sehr und er sprach zu Jehovah: Wende Dich nicht zu ihrem Opfer. Nicht einen Esel habe ich von ihnen genommen, und keinem von ihnen etwas Böses getan!
16 And Moises seide to Chore, Thou and al thi congregacioun stonde asidis half bifor the Lord, and Aaron to morewe bi hym silf.
Und zu Korach sprach Mose: Du und deine ganze Gemeinde seid vor Jehovah, du und sie und Aharon, morgen.
17 Take ye alle bi you silf youre censeris, and putte ye encense in tho, and offre ye to the Lord, tweyn hundrid and fifti censeris; and Aaron holde his censer.
Und jeder Mann nehme seine Rauchpfanne und tue Räuchwerk darauf, und bringet vor Jehovah dar, jeder Mann seine Rauchpfanne, zweihundertfünfzig Rauchpfannen, und du und Aharon, jeder Mann seine Rauchpfanne.
18 And whanne thei hadden do this, while Moises and Aaron stoden,
Und ein jeder Mann nahm seine Rauchpfanne und tat Feuer darauf und legten Räuchwerk darauf, und sie standen am Eingang des Versammlungszeltes, und auch Mose und Aharon.
19 and thei hadden gaderid al the multitude to the `dore of the tabernacle ayens hem, the glorie of the Lord apperide to alle.
Und Korach hatte die ganze Gemeinde an den Eingang des Versammlungszeltes wider sie versammelt. Und es erschien die Herrlichkeit Jehovahs der ganzen Gemeinde.
20 And the Lord spak to Moises and Aaron,
Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und zu Aharon und sprach:
21 and seide, Be ye departid fro the myddis of this congregacioun, that Y leese hem sodeynli.
Scheidet euch aus von der Mitte dieser Gemeinde, auf daß Ich sie im Augenblick wegtilge.
22 Whiche felden lowe on the face, and seiden, Strongeste God of the spiritis of al fleisch, whethir `thin yre schal be fers ayens alle men, for o man synneth?
Sie aber fielen auf ihr Angesicht und sprachen: Gott, Der Du bist der Gott der Geister alles Fleisches. Ein Mann hat gesündigt und bist Du entrüstet über die ganze Gemeinde?
23 And the Lord seide to Moises,
Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und sprach:
24 Comaunde thou to al the puple, that it be departid fro the tabernaclis of Chore, and of Dathan, and of Abiron.
Rede zu der Gemeinde und sprich: Gehet hinauf von der Wohnung Korachs, Dathans und Abirams ringsum.
25 And Moises roos, and yede to Dathan and Abiron; and while the eldre men of Israel sueden hym,
Und Mose machte sich auf und ging zu Dathan und Abiram, und hinter ihm gingen die Ältesten Israels.
26 he seide to the cumpeny, Go ye awey fro the tabernaclis of wickid men, and nyle ye touche tho thingis that parteynen to hem, lest ye ben wlappid in the synnes of hem.
Und er redete zu der Gemeinde und sprach: Weichet doch von den Zelten dieser ungerechten Männer und rühret nichts an von allem, das sie haben, auf daß ihr nicht in all ihren Sünden weggerafft werdet!
27 And whanne thei hadden gon awei fro the tentis `of hem bi the cumpas, Dathan and Abiron yeden out, and stoden in the entryng of her tentis, with wyues, and fre children, and al the multitude.
Und sie gingen weg ringsum hinauf von der Wohnung Korachs, Dathans und Abirams. Dathan und Abiram aber kamen heraus, stellten sich an den Eingang ihrer Zelte mit ihren Weibern, ihren Söhnen und ihren Kindlein.
28 And Moises seide, In this ye schulen wite that the Lord sente me, that Y schulde do alle thingis whiche ye seen, and Y brouyte not forth tho of myn owne herte.
Und Mose sprach: Daran sollt ihr wissen, daß Jehovah mich gesandt hat, alle diese Taten zu tun, und sie nicht aus meinem Herzen sind;
29 If thei perischen bi customable deeth of men, and wounde visite hem, bi which also othere men ben wont to be visitid,
Wenn diese sterben, wie alle Menschen sterben, und sie heimgesucht werden, wie alle Menschen heimgesucht werden, so hat Jehovah mich nicht gesandt.
30 the Lord sente not me; but if the Lord doith a newe thing, that the erthe opene his mouth, and swolewe hem, and alle thingis that perteynen to hem, and thei goen doun quyke in to helle, ye schulen wite that thei blasfemeden the Lord. (Sheol h7585)
Schafft aber Jehovah etwas und sperrt der Boden seinen Mund auf und verschlingt sie und alles, das sie haben, und gehen sie lebendig zur Hölle hinab, so wisset, daß diese Männer Jehovah gelästert haben. (Sheol h7585)
31 Therfor anoon as he cesside to speke, the erthe was brokun vndur her feet,
Und als er zu Ende war mit dem Reden all dieser Worte, da spaltete sich der Boden unter ihnen.
32 and the erthe openyde his mouth, and deuowride hem, with her tabernaclis, and al the catel `of hem;
Und die Erde öffnete ihren Mund und verschlang sie und ihre Häuser, und alle Menschen, die zu Korach gehörten, und all ihre Habe.
33 and thei yeden doun quike in to helle, and weren hilid with erthe, and perischiden fro the myddis of the multitude. (Sheol h7585)
Und sie gingen zur Hölle hinab, lebendig sie und alles, was sie hatten, und die Erde bedeckte sie, und sie waren zerstört aus der Mitte der Versammlung. (Sheol h7585)
34 And sotheli al Israel that stood bi the cumpas, fledde fro the cry of men perischinge, and seide, Lest perauenture the erthe swolewe also vs.
Und ganz Israel, das rings um sie war, floh auf ihre Stimme; denn sie sprachen: Daß die Erde uns nicht verschlinge.
35 But also fier yede out fro the Lord, and killide tweyn hundrid and fifti men that offriden encense.
Und Feuer ging aus von Jehovah und fraß auf die zweihundertfünfzig Männer, die das Räuchwerk dargebracht hatten.
36 And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide,
Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und sprach:
37 Comaunde thou to Eleasar, sone of Aaron, preest, that he take the censeris that liggen in the brennyng, and that he schatere the fier hidur and thidur; for tho ben halewid in the dethis of synneris;
Sage dem Eleasar, dem Sohne Aharons, des Priesters, er solle die Rauchpfannen aus dem Brande emporheben, und das Feuer fernhin zersprengen, denn sie sind heilig,
38 and that he bringe forth tho in to platis, and naile to the auter, for encense is offrid in tho to the Lord, and tho ben halewid, that the sonis of Israel se tho for a signe and memorial.
Die Rauchpfannen dieser Sünder gegen ihre Seele; und ihr sollt sie zu breitem Blech schlagen, als Überzug über den Altar; denn sie brachten sie dar vor Jehovah; und sie sind darum geheiligt, und sollen zum Zeichen sein für die Söhne Israels.
39 Therfor Eleazar, preest, took the brasun senseris, in whiche censeris thei whiche the brennyng deuouride hadden offrid, and he `brouyt forth tho in to platis, and nailide to the auter;
Und Eleasar, der Priester, nahm die ehernen Rauchpfannen, welche die Verbrannten dargebracht hatten, und sie schlugen sie breit zu einem Überzug für den Altar;
40 that the sones of Israel schulden haue thingis aftirward, bi whiche thei schulden remembre, lest ony alien, and which is not of the seed of Aaron, neiy to offre encense to the Lord, lest he suffre, as Chore sufferide, and al his multitude, while the Lord spak to Moises.
Zum Andenken für die Söhne Israels, damit kein fremder Mann sich nahe, der nicht vom Samen Aharons ist, um Räuchwerk vor Jehovah zu räuchern, auf daß ihm nicht wie Korach und seiner Gemeinde geschehe; wie Jehovah durch die Hand Moses zu ihm geredet hat.
41 Forsothe al the multitude of the sones of Israel grutchide in the dai suynge ayens Moises and Aaron, and seide, Ye han slayn the puple of the Lord.
Und am morgenden Tag murrte die ganze Gemeinde der Söhne Israels gegen Mose und gegen Aharon und sagte: Ihr habt das Volk Jehovahs getötet.
42 And whanne discensioun roos,
Und es geschah, da die Gemeinde sich wider Mose und wider Aharon versammelte, und sie sich zum Versammlungszelte wandten, siehe, da bedeckte die Wolke dasselbe und die Herrlichkeit Jehovahs erschien.
43 and noise encresside, Moises and Aaron fledden to the tabernacle of the boond of pees; and aftir that thei entriden in to it, a cloude hilide the tabernacle, and the glorie of the Lord apperide.
Und Mose und Aharon kamen vor das Versammlungszelt.
44 And the Lord seide to Moises and to Aaron,
Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und sprach:
45 Go ye awey fro the myddis of this multitude, also now Y schal do awey hem. And whanne thei laien in the erthe, Moises seide to Aaron,
Hebet euch weg aus der Mitte dieser Gemeinde! Und Ich werde sie wie im Augenblick verzehren. Und sie fielen auf ihr Angesicht;
46 Take the censer, and whanne fyer is takun vp of the auter, caste encense aboue, and go soone to the puple, that thou preye for hem; for now ire is gon out fro the Lord, and the wounde is feers.
Und Mose sprach zu Aharon: Nimm die Rauchpfanne und tue Feuer vom Altar darauf, und lege Räuchwerk darauf, und gehe eilig zu der Gemeinde und sühne sie; denn Entrüstung ist vom Angesichte Jehovahs ausgegangen, die Plage hat angefangen.
47 And whanne Aaron hadde do this, and hadde runne to the myddis of the multitude, which the brennynge wastid thanne, he offeride encense;
Und Aharon nahm sie, wie Mose zu ihm geredet hatte, und lief mitten in die Versammlung, und siehe, die Plage hatte im Volke angefangen, und er tat das Räuchwerk darauf und sühnte das Volk;
48 and he stood bytwixe the deed men and lyuynge, and bisouyte for the puple, and the wounde ceesside.
Und stand zwischen die Toten und zwischen die Lebendigen, und der Plage ward Einhalt getan.
49 Sotheli thei that weren smytun weren fourtene thousynde of men and seuene hundrid, with outen hem that perischiden in the discencioun of Chore.
Und der Toten in der Plage waren vierzehntausendsiebenhundert, außer den Toten wegen der Sache Korachs.
50 And Aaron turnyde ayen to Moyses, to the dore of the tabernacle of boond of pees, aftir that the perischyng restide.
Und Aharon kehrte zu Mose zurück an den Eingang des Versammlungszeltes, und der Plage war Einhalt getan.
