Numbers 14
1 Therfor al the cumpeny criede, and wepte in that nyyt,
ଏଥିରେ ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ କୋଳାହଳ କଲେ ଓ ଲୋକମାନେ ସେହି ରାତ୍ରି ରୋଦନ କଲେ।
2 and alle the sones of Israel grutchiden ayens Moises and Aaron, and seiden,
ପୁଣି, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ସମସ୍ତେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଓ ହାରୋଣଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବଚସା କଲେ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ କହିଲେ, “ଆହା, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମିସର ଦେଶରେ ନଚେତ୍ ଏହି ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ମରିଥାʼନ୍ତୁ! ଆହା, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯଦି ଏହି ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ମରିଥାʼନ୍ତୁ!
3 We wolden that we hadden be deed in Egipt, and not in this waast wildirnesse; we wolden that we perischen, and that the Lord lede vs not in to this lond, lest we fallen bi swerd, and oure wyues and fre children ben led prisoneris; whether it is not betere to turne ayen in to Egipt?
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ନିପାତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ କାହିଁକି ଏ ଦେଶକୁ ଆଣିଅଛନ୍ତି? ଯଦ୍ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ଓ ବାଳକମାନେ ଲୁଟିତ ହେବେ; ମିସରକୁ ଫେରିଗଲେ କି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଭଲ ହୁଅନ୍ତା ନାହିଁ?”
4 And thei seiden oon to another, Ordeyne we a duyk to vs, and turne we ayen in to Egipt.
ଏଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜଣକୁ ପ୍ରଧାନ କରି ମିସରକୁ ଫେରିଯାଉ।”
5 And whanne this was herd, Moises and Aaron felden lowe to erthe, bifor al the multitude of the sones of Israel.
ତହିଁରେ ମୋଶା ଓ ହାରୋଣ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ସମସ୍ତ ସମାଜ ଆଗରେ ମୁହଁ ମାଡ଼ି ପଡ଼ିଲେ।
6 And sotheli Josue, the sone of Nun, and Caleph, the sone of Jephone, whiche also cumpassiden the lond, to renten her clothis,
ତହୁଁ ଦେଶ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନକାରୀ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ନୂନର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୋଶୂୟ ଓ ଯିଫୁନ୍ନିର ପୁତ୍ର କାଲେବ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଚିରିଲେ;
7 and spaken to al the multitude of the sones of Israel, The lond which we cumpassiden is ful good;
ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରିବାକୁ ଯାଇଥିଲୁ, ତାହା ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଉତ୍ତମ ଦେଶ ଅଟେ।
8 if the Lord is merciful to vs, he schal lede vs in to it, and schal yyue `to vs the lond flowynge with mylk and hony.
ଯଦି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେହି ଦେଶକୁ ନେବେ ଓ ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେବେ; ସେହି ଦେଶ ଦୁଗ୍ଧ ଓ ମଧୁ ପ୍ରବାହୀ ଅଟେ।
9 Nyle ye be rebel ayens the Lord, nether drede ye the puple of this lond, for we moun deuoure hem so as breed; al her help passide awei fro hem, the Lord is with vs, nyle ye drede.
କେବଳ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ସେହି ଦେଶର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଭକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱରୂପ; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଶ୍ରୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରୁ ଘୁଞ୍ଚାଗଲାଣି, ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ।”
10 And whanne al the multitude criede, and wolde oppresse hem with stonys, the glorie of the Lord apperide on the roof of the boond of pees, while alle the sones of Israel sien.
ମାତ୍ର ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଥରରେ ମାରିବାକୁ କହିଲେ। ସେତେବେଳେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତାପ ସମାଗମ-ତମ୍ବୁରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ସମସ୍ତ ସନ୍ତାନ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେଲା।
11 And the Lord seide to Moises, Hou long schal this puple bacbite me? Hou longe schulen thei not bileue to me in alle `signes, whiche Y haue do bifor hem?
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଏହି ଲୋକମାନେ କେତେ କାଳ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆମ୍ଭଙ୍କୁ ଅବଜ୍ଞା କରିବେ? ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଚିହ୍ନ ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ଯେଉଁ ସମସ୍ତ କର୍ମ କରିଅଛୁ, ତାହା କଲେ ହେଁ ସେମାନେ କେତେ କାଳ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆମ୍ଭଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ?
12 Therfor Y schal smyte hem with pestilence, and Y schal waste hem; forsothe Y schal make thee prince on a greet folk, and strongere than is this.
ଆମ୍ଭେ ମହାମାରୀ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଂହାର କରିବା ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଧିକାରଚ୍ୟୁତ କରିବା, ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବଡ଼ ଓ ବଳବାନ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ କରିବା।”
13 And Moises seide to the Lord, Egipcians `here not, fro whos myddil thou leddist out this puple,
ଏଥିରେ ମୋଶା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତେବେ ମିସରୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ତ ଏହା ଶୁଣିବେ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପରାକ୍ରମ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଣିଅଛ।
14 and the dwelleris of this loond, whiche herden that thou, Lord, art in this puple, and art seyn face to face, and that thi cloude defendith hem, and that thou goist bifore hem in a pilere of cloude bi dai,
ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଏ ଦେଶ ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହା କହିବେ; ସେମାନେ ଶୁଣିଅଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଅଟ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଉଅଛ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମେଘ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ସ୍ଥିତି କରୁଅଛି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦିନ ସମୟରେ ମେଘ ସ୍ତମ୍ଭରେ ଓ ରାତ୍ରି ସମୟରେ ଅଗ୍ନିସ୍ତମ୍ଭରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗେ ଆଗେ ଗମନ କରୁଅଛ।
15 and in a piler of fier bi nyyt, that thou hast slayn so greet a multitude as o man,
ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ବଧ କରିବ, ତେବେ ଯେଉଁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭର କୀର୍ତ୍ତିର କଥା ଶୁଣିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ କହିବେ,
16 and seie thei, He myyte not brynge this puple in to the lond for whiche he swoor, therfor he killide hem in wildirnesse;
‘ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦେବାକୁ ଶପଥ କରିଥିଲେ, ସେହି ଦେଶକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଣି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଏହେତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ବଧ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।’
17 therfor the strengthe of the Lord be magnified, as thou hast swore. And Moises seide,
ଏବେ ମୁଁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପରାକ୍ରମ ମହାନ ହେଉ, ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହିଅଛ,
18 Lord pacient, and of myche mercy, doynge awei wickidnesse and trespassis, and leeuynge no man vngilti, which visitist the synnes of fadris in to sones in to the thridde and fourthe generacioun, Y biseche,
‘ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କ୍ରୋଧରେ ଧୀର, ଦୟାରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ, ଅପରାଧ ଓ ଆଜ୍ଞା-ଲଙ୍ଘନର କ୍ଷମାକାରୀ, ତଥାପି ନିତାନ୍ତ ତହିଁର ଦଣ୍ଡଦାତା; ପୁଣି, ତୃତୀୟ ଓ ଚତୁର୍ଥ ପୁରୁଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଉପରେ ପିତୃଗଣଙ୍କର ଅପରାଧର ପ୍ରତିଫଳଦାତା।’
19 foryyue thou the synne of this thi puple, aftir the greetnesse of thi merci, as thou were merciful to men goynge out of Egipt `til to this place.
ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଦୟାର ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱ ଅନୁସାରେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିସରଠାରୁ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଯେପରି କ୍ଷମା କରିଅଛ, ତଦନୁସାରେ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଅପରାଧ କ୍ଷମା କର।”
20 And the Lord seide, Y haue foryouun to hem, bi thi word.
ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଲେ, “ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅନୁରୋଧନୁସାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କ୍ଷମା କଲୁ।
21 Y lyue; and the glorie of the Lord schal be fillid in al erthe;
ମାତ୍ର ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜୀବିତ ହେଉ, ଆଉ ଯଦି ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ପୃଥିବୀ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତାପରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେବ,
22 netheles alle men that sien my mageste, and my signes, whiche Y dide in Egipt and in the wildirnesse, and temptiden me now bi ten sithis, and obeieden not to my vois,
ତେବେ ଏମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଯେତେ ଲୋକ ଆମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରତାପ, ପୁଣି, ମିସରରେ ଓ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ କୃତ ଆମ୍ଭର ଚିହ୍ନସ୍ୱରୂପ କର୍ମ ଦେଖିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦଶ ଥର ଆମ୍ଭର ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଆମ୍ଭ ରବରେ ଅମନୋଯୋଗୀ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି,
23 schulen not se the lond for which Y swore to her fadris, nethir ony of hem that bacbitide me, schal se it.
ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ବିଷୟରେ ଶପଥ କରିଅଛୁ, ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଏମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି ସେହି ଦେଶ ଦେଖି ପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ; କିଅବା ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭଙ୍କୁ ଅବଜ୍ଞା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି ତାହା ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ;
24 Y schal lede my seruaunt Caleph, that was ful of anothir spirit, and suede me, in to this lond, which he cumpasside, and his seed schal welde it.
ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭର ସେବକ କାଲେବଠାରେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଆତ୍ମା ଅଛି ଓ ସେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଅନୁଗତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶକୁ ଯାଇଥିଲା, ସେହି ଦେଶରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରାଇବା ଓ ତାହାର ବଂଶ ତାହା ଅଧିକାର କରିବେ।
25 For Amalech and Cananei dwellen in the valeis, to morewe moue ye tentis, and turne ye ayen in to wildirnesse bi the weie of the reed see.
ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଅମାଲେକୀୟ ଓ କିଣାନୀୟମାନେ ତଳଭୂମିରେ ବାସ କରନ୍ତି; କାଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଫେରି ସୂଫ ସାଗରକୁ ଯିବା ପଥ ଦେଇ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରକୁ ଗମନ କର।”
26 And the Lord spak to Moises and to Aaron, and seide,
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ ଓ ହାରୋଣଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
27 Hou long grutchith this werste multitude ayens me? Y haue herd the pleyntis of the sones of Israel.
“ଆମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବଚସା କରୁଅଛି, ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ, ତାହାକୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ କେତେ କାଳ ସହିବା? ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଆମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଯେଉଁ ବଚସା କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେ ଶୁଣିଅଛୁ।
28 Therfor seie thou to hem, Y lyue, seith the Lord; as ye spaken while Y herde, so Y schal do to you;
ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ‘ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଜୀବିତ ହେଉ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ କର୍ଣ୍ଣଗୋଚରରେ ଯାହା କହିଅଛ, ତାହା ହିଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କରିବା।
29 youre careyns schulen ligge in this wildirnesse. Alle ye that ben noumbrid, fro twenti yeer and aboue, and grutchiden ayens me,
ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଶବ ଏହି ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ପଡ଼ିବ; ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କୋଡ଼ିଏ ବର୍ଷ ଓ ତହିଁରୁ ଅଧିକ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସଂଖ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ଗଣିତ ଯେତେ ଲୋକ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବଚସା କରିଅଛ,
30 schulen not entre in to the lond, on which Y reiside myn hond, that Y schulde make you to dwelle outakun Caleph, the sone of Jephone, and Josue, the sone of Nun.
ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶରେ ବାସ କରାଇବାକୁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଅଛୁ, ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ସେହି ଦେଶରେ ଯିଫୁନ୍ନିର ପୁତ୍ର କାଲେବ ଓ ନୂନର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୋଶୂୟଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟତୀତ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କେହି ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
31 Forsothe Y schal lede in youre litle children, of whiche ye seiden that thei schulden be preyes `ethir raueyns to enemyes, that thei se the lond which displeside you.
ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣାର ଯେଉଁ ବାଳକଗଣଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ସେମାନେ ଲୁଟିତ ହେବେ ବୋଲି କହିଥିଲ, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଆଣିବା ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶକୁ ତୁଚ୍ଛଜ୍ଞାନ କରିଅଛ, ସେମାନେ ତହିଁର ପରିଚୟ ପାଇବେ।
32 Forsothe youre careyns schulen ligge in the wildirnesse;
ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଶବ ଏହି ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ପଡ଼ିବ।
33 youre sones schulen be walkeris aboute in the deseert bi fourti yeer, and thei schulen bere youre fornycacioun, til the careyns of the fadris ben wastid in the deseert,
ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କ ଚାଳିଶ ବର୍ଷ ଏହି ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ଭ୍ରମଣକାରୀ ହେବେ ଓ ଏହି ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଶବ ନଷ୍ଟ ନ ହେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରର ଫଳ ଭୋଗ କରିବେ।
34 by the noumbre of fourti daies, in whiche ye bihelden the loond; a yeer schal be arettid for a dai, and bi fourti yeer ye schulen resseyue youre wickidnesse, and ye schulen knowe my veniaunce.
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଚାଳିଶ ଦିନ ଦେଶ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରିଅଛ, ସେହି ଦିନର ସଂଖ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ଏକ ଏକ ଦିନ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ଏକ ବର୍ଷ, ଏରୂପେ ଚାଳିଶ ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅପରାଧର ଦଣ୍ଡ ଭୋଗିବ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିପକ୍ଷତା କିପରି, ତାହା ଜ୍ଞାତ ହେବ।
35 For as Y spak, so Y schal do to al this werste multitude, that roos to gidere ayens me; it schal faile, and schal die in this wildirnesse.
ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହା କହିଅଛୁ, ଆମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଯେଉଁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ଏକତ୍ରିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ତାହା ପ୍ରତି ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ନିଶ୍ଚୟ କରିବା, ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଏହି ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ନଷ୍ଟ ହେବେ ଓ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ସେମାନେ ମରିବେ।’”
36 Therfor alle the men whyche Moises hadde sent to see the lond, and whiche turniden ayen, and maden al the multitude to grutche ayens hym, and depraueden the lond, that it was yuel,
ଆଉ ଦେଶ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରେରିତ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଫେରିଆସି ସେହି ଦେଶର ଅଖ୍ୟାତି ଆଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀକୁ ବଚସା କରାଇଥିଲେ,

ଦେଶର ଅଖ୍ୟାତିକାରୀ ସେହି ଲୋକମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ମହାମାରୀ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମଲେ।
38 Sotheli Josue, the sone of Nun, and Caleph, the sone of Jephone, lyueden, of alle men that yeden to se the lond.
ମାତ୍ର ଯେଉଁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଦେଶ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରିବାକୁ ଯାଇଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେବଳ ନୂନର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୋଶୂୟ ଓ ଯିଫୁନ୍ନିର ପୁତ୍ର କାଲେବ ଜୀବିତ ରହିଲେ।
39 And Moises spak alle these wordis to alle the sones of Israel, and the puple mourenyde gretli.
ଆଉ ମୋଶା ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ସମସ୍ତ ସନ୍ତାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଅତିଶୟ ବିଳାପ କଲେ।
40 And, lo! thei riseden in the morewtid first, and `stieden in to the cop of the hil, and seiden, We ben redi to stie to the place, of which the Lord spak, for we synneden.
ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଅତି ପ୍ରାତଃକାଳରେ ଉଠି ପର୍ବତ ଶୃଙ୍ଗ ଉପରକୁ ଯିବାକୁ ବାହାରି କହିଲେ, “ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାପ କରିଅଛୁ, ତଥାପି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନ ବିଷୟରେ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ; ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏଠାରେ ଅଛୁ।”
41 To whiche Moises seide, Whi passen ye the word of the Lord, that schal not bifalle to you in to prosperite?
ତହିଁରେ ମୋଶା କହିଲେ, “ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାଲଙ୍ଘନ କରୁଅଛ? ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଏହି କର୍ମ ସଫଳ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।
42 Nyle ye stie, for the Lord is not with you, lest ye fallen bifor youre enemyes.
କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ନାହାନ୍ତି; ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣର ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ପରାସ୍ତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଉପରକୁ ଯାଅ ନାହିଁ।
43 Amalech and Cananei ben bifor you, bi the swerd of whiche ye schulen falle, for ye nolden assente to the Lord, nether the Lord schal be with you.
ଯେହେତୁ ଅମାଲେକୀୟ ଓ କିଣାନୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ସେଠାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ପତିତ ହେବ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହେବାରୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସହବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହେବେ ନାହିଁ।”
44 And thei weren maad derk, and stieden in to the cop of the hil; forsothe the ark of the testament of the Lord and Moises yeden not awey fro the tentis.
ତଥାପି ସେମାନେ ପର୍ବତ ଶୃଙ୍ଗ ଉପରକୁ ଯିବାକୁ ଦୁଃସାହସ କଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିୟମ-ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଓ ମୋଶା ଛାଉଣିରୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
45 And Amalech cam doun, and Chananei, that dwelliden in the hil, and he smoot hem, and kittide doun, and pursuede hem til Horma.
ସେତେବେଳେ ସେହି ପର୍ବତବାସୀ ଅମାଲେକୀୟ ଓ କିଣାନୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଆସି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଘାତ କଲେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରି ହର୍ମା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତଡ଼ିଦେଲେ।
