Semaja, Jojarib, Jedaja,
7 these weren the princes of prestis `and her britheren, in the daies of Josue.

Och leviternas huvudmän voro Hasabja, Serebja och Jesua, Kadmiels son, samt deras bröder, som stodo mitt emot dem för att lova och tacka, såsom gudsmannen David hade bjudit, den ena tjänstgörande avdelningen jämte den andra.
25 Mathanye, and Bethbecie, and Obedie, Mosollam, Thelmon, Accub, weren keperis of the yatis, and of the porchis bifor the yatis.
Mattanja, Bakbukja, Obadja, Mesullam, Talmon och Ackub höllo såsom dörrvaktare vakt över förrådshusen vid portarna.
26 These weren in the daies of Joachym, sone of Josue, sone of Josedech, and in the daies of Neemye, duyk, and of Esdras, the prest and writere.
Dessa levde i Jojakims, Jesuas sons, Josadaks sons, tid, och i Nehemjas, ståthållarens, och i prästen Esras, den skriftlärdes, tid.
27 Forsothe in the halewyng of the wal of Jerusalem thei souyten dekenes of alle her places, to bryng hem in to Jerusalem, and to make the halewyng in gladnesse, in the doyng of thankyngis, and in song, and in cymbalis, and in sautrees, and in harpis.
Och när Jerusalems mur skulle invigas, uppsökte man leviterna på alla deras orter och förde dem till Jerusalem för att hålla invignings- och glädjehögtid under tacksägelse och sång, med cymbaler, psaltare och harpor.

30 And prestis and dekenes weren clensid, and thei clensiden the puple, and the yatis, and the wal.
Och prästerna och leviterna renade sig och renade sedan folket, portarna och muren.
31 Forsothe Y made the princes of Juda to stie on the wal, and Y ordeynede twei greete queris of men heriynge; and thei yeden to the riyt side on the wal, to the yate of the dunghil.

så ock hans bröder Semaja, Asarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Netanel och Juda samt Hanani, med gudsmannen Davids musikinstrumenter; och Esra, den skriftlärde, gick i spetsen för dem.

Och efter den andra lovsångskören, som gick åt motsatt håll, följde jag med andra hälften av folket, ovanpå muren, upp genom Ugnstornet ända till Breda muren,
39 and on the yate of Effraym, and on the elde yate, and on the yate of fischis, and on the toure of Ananeel, and on the tour of Emath, and thei camen `til to the yate of the floc;
vidare över Efraimsporten, Gamla porten och Fiskporten och genom Hananeltornet, ända fram till Fårporten; och de stannade vid Fängelseporten.
40 and thei stoden in the yate of kepyng. And twei queeris of men heriynge stoden in the hows of God, and Y and the half part of magistratis with me.
Sedan trädde de båda lovsångskörerna upp i Guds hus, och likaså jag och ena hälften av föreståndarna jämte mig,
41 And the prestis, Eliachym, Maasie, Myamyn, Mychea, Helioneai, Zacharie, Ananye, in trumpis;

43 And thei offriden in that dai grete sacrifices, and weren glad; `for God `hadde maad hem glad with grete gladnesse. But also her wyues and lawful childre weren ioiful, and the gladnesse of Jerusalem was herd fer.
Och de offrade på den dagen stora offer och voro glada, ty Gud hade berett dem stor glädje; också kvinnor och barn voro glada. Och glädjen från Jerusalem hördes vida omkring.
44 Also thei noumbriden in that dai men ouer the keping places of tresour, to moiste sacrifices, and to the firste fruytis, and to tithis, that the princes of the citee schulden brynge in bi hem, `in the fairenesse of doyng of thankyngis, prestis and dekenes; for Juda was glad in prestis and dekenes present.

Dessa iakttogo nu vad som var att iakttaga vid gudstjänsten och vid reningarna, och likaså gjorde sångarna och dörrvaktarna sin tjänst, såsom David och hans son Salomo hade bjudit.
46 for in the daies of Dauid and of Asaph fro the bigynnyng princes of syngeris weren ordeyned, heriyng in song, and knoulechynge to God.

Och nu under Serubbabels och Nehemjas tid gav hela Israel åt sångarna och dörrvaktarna vad som tillkom dem för var dag; och man gav åt leviterna deras helgade andel, och leviterna gåvo åt Arons söner deras helgade andel.
