Shecania, Rehum, Meremoth,
4 Addo, Jethon, Myomyn,
Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abija,
5 Abia, Meldaa, Belga, Semeie, and Joarib,
Mijamin, Maadia, Bilga,
6 Adaie, Sellum, Amoe, Elceia, and Jadie;
Shemaia, Joiarib, Jedaiah,
7 these weren the princes of prestis `and her britheren, in the daies of Josue.
Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah et Jedaiah. Tels étaient les chefs des prêtres et de leurs frères, du temps de Josué.
8 Certis dekenes; Jesua, Bennuy, Cedynyel, Serabie, Juda, Mathanye, `weren ouer the ympnes, `thei and her britheren;
Les Lévites étaient: Josué, Binnui, Kadmiel, Shérébia, Juda, et Matthania, qui était chargé des chants d'action de grâces, lui et ses frères.
9 and Bezechie, and Ezanny, and the britheren of hem, ech man in his office.
Bakbukiah et Unno, leurs frères, étaient également près d'eux, selon leurs fonctions.
10 Sotheli Josue gendride Joachym, and Joachym gendride Eliasib, and Eliasib gendride Joiada,

11 and Joiada gendride Jonathan, and Jonathan gendride Jeddaia.

Du temps de Jojakim, il y eut des prêtres, chefs de famille de leurs pères: de Seraja, Meraja; de Jérémie, Hanania;
13 Mosollam, Amarie, Johannam,
d'Esdras, Meshullam; d'Amaria, Jehohanan;
14 Mylico, Jonathan, Sebenye,
de Malluchi, Jonathan; de Shebania, Joseph;
15 Joseph, Aram, Edua,
de Harim, Adna; de Meraioth, Helkaï;
16 Maraioth, Elchie, Addaie, Zacharie, Genthon,
d'Iddo, Zacharie; de Ginnethon, Meshullam;

Quant aux Lévites, aux jours d'Eliaschib, de Jojada, de Jochanan et de Jaddua, on enregistra les chefs de famille; les prêtres aussi, sous le règne de Darius le Perse.
23 The sones of Leuy, princes of meynees, weren writun in the book of wordis of daies, and `til to the daies of Jonathan, sone of Eliasib.
Les fils de Lévi, chefs de famille, furent inscrits dans le livre des chroniques, jusqu'à l'époque de Johanan, fils d'Eliashib.
24 `And the princes of dekenes weren Asebie, Serebie, and Jesue, the sone of Cedynyel; and the britheren of hem bi her whiles, that thei schulden herie and knowleche bi the comaundement of kyng Dauid, the man of God, and thei schulden kepe euenli bi ordre.
Les chefs des Lévites: Haschabia, Shérébia et Josué, fils de Kadmiel, avec leurs frères près d'eux, pour louer et remercier selon le commandement de David, homme de Dieu, section par section.
25 Mathanye, and Bethbecie, and Obedie, Mosollam, Thelmon, Accub, weren keperis of the yatis, and of the porchis bifor the yatis.
Mattania, Bakbukiah, Abdias, Meshullam, Talmon et Akkub étaient des gardiens de portes qui surveillaient les entrepôts des portes.
26 These weren in the daies of Joachym, sone of Josue, sone of Josedech, and in the daies of Neemye, duyk, and of Esdras, the prest and writere.
C'était du temps de Jojakim, fils de Josué, fils de Jotsadak, du temps de Néhémie, le gouverneur, et d'Esdras, le prêtre et le scribe.
27 Forsothe in the halewyng of the wal of Jerusalem thei souyten dekenes of alle her places, to bryng hem in to Jerusalem, and to make the halewyng in gladnesse, in the doyng of thankyngis, and in song, and in cymbalis, and in sautrees, and in harpis.
Lors de la dédicace de la muraille de Jérusalem, on chercha les Lévites de tous les lieux où ils se trouvaient, pour les faire venir à Jérusalem afin de célébrer la dédicace dans la joie, tant par des actions de grâces que par des chants, avec des cymbales, des instruments à cordes et des harpes.
28 Sotheli the sones of syngeris weren gaderid bothe fro the feeldi places aboute Jerusalem, and fro the townes of Nethophati,
Les fils des chantres se rassemblèrent, tant de la plaine qui entoure Jérusalem que des villages des Netophathites;
29 and fro the hows of Galgal, and fro the cuntreis of Gebez, and of Amanech; for syngeris hadden bildid townes to hem silf in the cumpas of Jerusalem.
aussi de Beth Gilgal et des champs de Guéba et d'Azmaveth, car les chantres s'étaient construit des villages autour de Jérusalem.
30 And prestis and dekenes weren clensid, and thei clensiden the puple, and the yatis, and the wal.
Les prêtres et les lévites se purifièrent; ils purifièrent le peuple, les portes et la muraille.
31 Forsothe Y made the princes of Juda to stie on the wal, and Y ordeynede twei greete queris of men heriynge; and thei yeden to the riyt side on the wal, to the yate of the dunghil.
Puis je fis monter les princes de Juda sur la muraille, et je désignai deux grandes compagnies qui rendirent grâces et allèrent en procession. L'une marchait à droite sur la muraille, vers la porte des fumiers;
32 And Osaie yede aftir hem, and the half part of prynces of Juda,
et après elle, Hoshaiah, avec la moitié des princes de Juda,
33 and Azarie, Esdras, and Mosollam,
Azaria, Esdras, Meshullam,
34 Juda, and Beniamyn, and Semeye, and Jeremye `yeden aftir hem.
Juda, Benjamin, Shemaiah, Jérémie,
35 And of the sones of prestis syngynge in trumpis; Zacharie, the sone of Jonathan, the sone of Semeie, the sone of Mathanye, the sone of Machaie, the sone of Zeccur, the sone of Asaph.
et quelques fils de prêtres avec des trompettes: Zacharie, fils de Jonathan, fils de Schemaeja, fils de Matthania, fils de Michée, fils de Zaccur, fils d'Asaph,
36 And hise britheren; Semeie, and Azarel, Malalai, Galalai, Maai, Nathanael, and Juda, and Amany, in the instrumentis of song of Dauid, the man of God; and Esdras, the wrytere, bifor hem, in the yate of the welle.
et ses frères, Schemaeja, Azarel, Milalaï, Gilalaï, Maaï, Nethaneel, Juda et Hanani, avec les instruments de musique de David, homme de Dieu; et Esdras, le scribe, était devant eux.
37 And thei stieden ayens hem in the greis of the citee of Dauid, in the stiyng of the wal, on the hows of Dauid, and `til to the yate of watris at the eest.
Par la porte de la source, et droit devant eux, ils montèrent par les escaliers de la ville de David, sur la montée de la muraille, au-dessus de la maison de David, jusqu'à la porte des eaux, à l'orient.
38 And the secounde queer of men tellynge thankyngis yede euene ayens, and Y aftir hym; and the half part of the puple was on the wal, and on the tour of ouenys, and `til to the broddeste wal;
L'autre troupe de ceux qui rendaient grâces alla à leur rencontre, et moi après eux, avec la moitié du peuple, sur le mur au-dessus de la tour des fourneaux, jusqu'à la grande muraille,
39 and on the yate of Effraym, and on the elde yate, and on the yate of fischis, and on the toure of Ananeel, and on the tour of Emath, and thei camen `til to the yate of the floc;
et au-dessus de la porte d'Ephraïm, et par la vieille porte, et par la porte des poissons, la tour de Hananel, et la tour de Hamméa, jusqu'à la porte des brebis; et ils s'arrêtèrent à la porte de la garde.
40 and thei stoden in the yate of kepyng. And twei queeris of men heriynge stoden in the hows of God, and Y and the half part of magistratis with me.
Les deux compagnies de ceux qui rendaient grâces dans la maison de Dieu se tinrent debout, moi et la moitié des chefs avec moi,
41 And the prestis, Eliachym, Maasie, Myamyn, Mychea, Helioneai, Zacharie, Ananye, in trumpis;
et les prêtres, Eliakim, Maaséja, Miniamin, Micaeja, Elioénaï, Zacharie et Hanania, avec des trompettes,
42 and Maasie, and Senea, and Eleazar, and Azi, and Johannan, and Melchia, and Elam, and Ezer; and the syngeris sungen clereli, and Jezraie, the souereyn.
et Maaséja, Schemaeja, Éléazar, Uzzi, Johanan, Malkija, Élam et Ézer. Les chantres chantaient à haute voix, avec Jizrachia, leur chef.
43 And thei offriden in that dai grete sacrifices, and weren glad; `for God `hadde maad hem glad with grete gladnesse. But also her wyues and lawful childre weren ioiful, and the gladnesse of Jerusalem was herd fer.
Ils offrirent ce jour-là de grands sacrifices, et ils se réjouirent, car Dieu les avait comblés d'une grande joie; les femmes et les enfants se réjouirent aussi, de sorte que la joie de Jérusalem se fit entendre jusqu'au loin.
44 Also thei noumbriden in that dai men ouer the keping places of tresour, to moiste sacrifices, and to the firste fruytis, and to tithis, that the princes of the citee schulden brynge in bi hem, `in the fairenesse of doyng of thankyngis, prestis and dekenes; for Juda was glad in prestis and dekenes present.
Ce jour-là, des hommes furent désignés pour surveiller les salles destinées aux trésors, aux offrandes ondulées, aux prémices et aux dîmes, afin d'y recueillir, selon les champs des villes, les portions fixées par la loi pour les prêtres et les lévites; car Juda se réjouissait pour les prêtres et pour les lévites qui faisaient le service.
45 And thei kepten the kepyng of her God, the kepyng of clensyng; and syngeris, and porteris, bi the comaundement of Dauid and of Salomon, his sone;
Ils accomplissaient le devoir de leur Dieu et le devoir de la purification, de même que les chantres et les portiers, selon le commandement de David et de Salomon, son fils.
46 for in the daies of Dauid and of Asaph fro the bigynnyng princes of syngeris weren ordeyned, heriyng in song, and knoulechynge to God.
Car du temps de David et d'Asaph, il y avait un chef des chantres, et des chants de louange et d'action de grâce à Dieu.
47 And al Israel, in the daies of Zorobabel, and in the daies of Neemye, yauen partis to syngeris and to porteris bi alle `the daies; and thei halewiden dekenes, and the dekenes halewiden the sones of Aaron.
Tout Israël, du temps de Zorobabel et du temps de Néhémie, donna les portions des chantres et des portiers, selon les besoins de chaque jour; on mit à part ce qui était pour les Lévites, et les Lévites mirent à part ce qui était pour les fils d'Aaron.
