Micah 5
1 Now thou, douyter of a theef, schalt be distried; thei puttiden on vs bisegyng, in a yerde thei schulen smyte the cheke of the iuge of Israel.
Nun schließe deine Reihen, du Schar! Man errichtet Bollwerke gegen uns; mit der Rute wollen sie den Richter Israels auf den Backen schlagen.
2 And thou, Bethleem Effrata, art litil in the thousyndis of Juda; he that is the lordli gouernour in Israel, schal go out of thee to me; and the goyng out of hym is fro bigynnyng, fro daies of euerlastyngnesse.
Und du, Bethlehem-Ephrata, du bist zwar klein, um unter den Hauptorten Judas zu sein; aber aus dir soll mir hervorgehen, der Herrscher über Israel werden soll, dessen Ursprung von Anfang, von Ewigkeit her gewesen ist.
3 For this thing he shal yyue hem til to the tyme in which the trauelinge of child schal bere child, and the relifs of hise britheren schulen be conuertid to the sones of Israel.
Darum gibt er sie hin bis zu der Zeit, da die, so gebären soll, wird geboren haben und der Überrest seiner Brüder zu den Kindern Israel zurückkehren wird.
4 And he schal stonde, and schal fede in the strengthe of the Lord, in the heiythe of the name of his Lord God; and thei schulen be conuertid, for now he schal be magnefied til to the endis of al erthe.
Und er wird auftreten und [sie] weiden in der Kraft des HERRN und in der Hoheit des Namens des HERRN, seines Gottes; und sie werden [sicher] wohnen; denn er wird groß sein bis an die Enden der Erde.
5 And this schal be pees, whanne Assirius schal come in to oure lond, and whanne he schal trede in oure housis; and we schulen reise on hym seuene scheepherdis, and eiyte primatis men, ether the firste in dignytee.
Und dieser wird der Friede sein! Wenn Assur in unser Land kommt und unsere Paläste betritt, so werden wir sieben Hirten und acht Menschenfürsten gegen ihn aufstellen;
6 And thei schulen frete the lond of Assur bi swerd, and the lond of Nembroth bi speris of hym; and he schal delyuere vs fro Assur, whanne he schal come in to oure lond, and whanne he schal trede in oure coostis.
die werden das Land Assur mit dem Schwerte abweiden und das Land Nimrod mit ihren bloßen Waffen; und so wird er uns von dem Assyrer erretten, wenn dieser in unser Land kommt und unser Gebiet betritt.
7 And relifs of Jacob schulen be in the myddil of many puplis, as dew of the Lord, and as dropis on erbe, whiche abidith not man, and schal not abide sones of men.
Und es wird der Überrest Jakobs inmitten vieler Völker sein wie ein Tau vom HERRN, wie Regenschauer auf das Gras, das auf niemand wartet und nicht auf Menschenkinder hofft.
8 And relifs of Jacob schulen be in hethene men, in the myddil of many puplis, as a lioun in beestis of the woodis, and as a whelpe of a lioun rorynge in flockis of scheep; and whanne he passith, and defoulith, and takith, there is not that schal delyuere.
Und der Überrest Jakobs wird unter den Nationen inmitten vieler Völker sein wie ein Löwe unter den Tieren des Waldes, wie ein junger Leu unter den Schafherden, der, wenn er hindurchgeht, niedertritt und zerreißt, daß niemand retten kann.
9 And thin hond schal be reisid on thin enemyes, and alle thin enemyes schulen perische.
Deine Hand wird siegen über deine Widersacher, und alle deine Feinde sollen ausgerottet werden!
10 And it schal be, in that dai, seith the Lord, Y schal take awei thin horsis fro the myddil of thee, and Y schal distrie thi foure horsid cartis.
An jenem Tage soll es geschehen, spricht der HERR, daß ich deine Rosse aus deiner Mitte ausrotten und deine Wagen abschaffen werde;
11 And Y schal leese the citees of thi lond, and Y schal distrie alle thi strengthis;
und ich will die Städte deines Landes ausrotten und alle deine Festungen schleifen.
12 and Y schal do awei witchecraftis fro thin hond, and dyuynaciouns schulen not be in thee.
Ich will auch die Zauberdinge aus deiner Hand ausrotten, und du sollst keine Wolkendeuter mehr haben.
13 And Y schal make for to perische thi `grauun ymagis, and Y schal breke togidere fro the myddil of thee thin ymagis, and thou schalt no more worschipe the werkis of thin hondis.
Auch deine Bilder und deine geschnitzten Bildsäulen will ich aus deiner Mitte vertilgen, daß du das Werk deiner Hände nicht mehr anbeten sollst.
14 And Y schal drawe out of the middis of thee thi woodis, and Y schal al to-breke thi citees.
Dazu will ich die Ascheren in deiner Mitte ausreißen und deine Götzen vernichten.
15 And Y schal make in woodnesse and indignacioun veniaunce in alle folkis, whiche herden not.
Also will ich mit Zorn und Grimm Rache üben an den Nationen, die nicht hören wollten.
