Micah 5
1 Now thou, douyter of a theef, schalt be distried; thei puttiden on vs bisegyng, in a yerde thei schulen smyte the cheke of the iuge of Israel.
Maintenant assemble-toi par troupes, fille de troupes; on a mis le siège contre nous, on frappera le Gouverneur d'Israël avec la verge sur la joue.
2 And thou, Bethleem Effrata, art litil in the thousyndis of Juda; he that is the lordli gouernour in Israel, schal go out of thee to me; and the goyng out of hym is fro bigynnyng, fro daies of euerlastyngnesse.
Mais toi, Bethléhem Ephrata, petite pour être entre les milliers de Juda, de toi me sortira [quelqu'un] pour être Dominateur en Israël; et ses issues sont d'ancienneté, dès les jours éternels.
3 For this thing he shal yyue hem til to the tyme in which the trauelinge of child schal bere child, and the relifs of hise britheren schulen be conuertid to the sones of Israel.
C'est pourquoi il les livrera jusqu'au temps que celle qui est en travail d'enfant aura enfanté; et le reste de ses frères retournera avec les enfants d'Israël.
4 And he schal stonde, and schal fede in the strengthe of the Lord, in the heiythe of the name of his Lord God; and thei schulen be conuertid, for now he schal be magnefied til to the endis of al erthe.
Et il se maintiendra et gouvernera par la force de l'Eternel, avec la magnificence du Nom de l'Eternel son Dieu; et ils demeureront fermes; car en peu de temps il s'agrandira jusqu'aux bouts de la terre.
5 And this schal be pees, whanne Assirius schal come in to oure lond, and whanne he schal trede in oure housis; and we schulen reise on hym seuene scheepherdis, and eiyte primatis men, ether the firste in dignytee.
Et c'est lui qui sera la paix. Après que l'Assyrien sera entré dans notre pays, et qu'il aura mis le pied dans nos palais, nous établirons contre lui sept pasteurs, et huit princes pris du commun.
6 And thei schulen frete the lond of Assur bi swerd, and the lond of Nembroth bi speris of hym; and he schal delyuere vs fro Assur, whanne he schal come in to oure lond, and whanne he schal trede in oure coostis.
Et ils ravageront le pays d'Assyrie avec l'épée, et le pays de Nimrod à ses portes; et il nous délivrera des Assyriens, quand ils seront entrés dans notre pays, et qu'ils auront mis le pied dans nos quartiers.
7 And relifs of Jacob schulen be in the myddil of many puplis, as dew of the Lord, and as dropis on erbe, whiche abidith not man, and schal not abide sones of men.
Et le reste de Jacob sera au milieu de plusieurs peuples comme une rosée qui vient de l'Eternel, et comme une pluie menue qui tombe sur l'herbe, laquelle on n'attend point d'aucun homme, et qu'on n'espère point des enfants des hommes.
8 And relifs of Jacob schulen be in hethene men, in the myddil of many puplis, as a lioun in beestis of the woodis, and as a whelpe of a lioun rorynge in flockis of scheep; and whanne he passith, and defoulith, and takith, there is not that schal delyuere.
Aussi le reste de Jacob sera parmi les nations, et au milieu de plusieurs peuples, comme un lion parmi les bêtes des forêts, et comme un lionceau parmi des troupeaux de brebis; lequel y passant foule et déchire, sans que personne en puisse rien garantir.
9 And thin hond schal be reisid on thin enemyes, and alle thin enemyes schulen perische.
Ta main sera élevée sur tes adversaires, et tous tes ennemis seront retranchés.
10 And it schal be, in that dai, seith the Lord, Y schal take awei thin horsis fro the myddil of thee, and Y schal distrie thi foure horsid cartis.
Et il arrivera en ce temps-là, dit l'Eternel, que je retrancherai tes chevaux du milieu de toi, et ferai périr tes chariots.
11 And Y schal leese the citees of thi lond, and Y schal distrie alle thi strengthis;
Et je retrancherai les villes de ton pays, et ruinerai toutes tes forteresses.
12 and Y schal do awei witchecraftis fro thin hond, and dyuynaciouns schulen not be in thee.
Je retrancherai aussi les sorcelleries de ta main, et tu n'auras plus aucun pronostiqueur de temps.
13 And Y schal make for to perische thi `grauun ymagis, and Y schal breke togidere fro the myddil of thee thin ymagis, and thou schalt no more worschipe the werkis of thin hondis.
Et je retrancherai tes images taillées et tes statues du milieu de toi, et tu ne te prosterneras plus devant l'ouvrage de tes mains.
14 And Y schal drawe out of the middis of thee thi woodis, and Y schal al to-breke thi citees.
J'arracherai aussi tes bocages du milieu de toi, et effacerai tes ennemis.
15 And Y schal make in woodnesse and indignacioun veniaunce in alle folkis, whiche herden not.
Et je ferai vengeance avec colère et avec fureur de toutes les nations qui ne m'auront point écouté.
