Micah 5
1 Now thou, douyter of a theef, schalt be distried; thei puttiden on vs bisegyng, in a yerde thei schulen smyte the cheke of the iuge of Israel.
Nu, rot u met benden, gij dochter der bende, hij zal een belegering tegen ons stellen; zij zullen den rechter Israels met de roede op het kinnebakken slaan.
2 And thou, Bethleem Effrata, art litil in the thousyndis of Juda; he that is the lordli gouernour in Israel, schal go out of thee to me; and the goyng out of hym is fro bigynnyng, fro daies of euerlastyngnesse.
En gij, Bethlehem Efratha! zijt gij klein om te wezen onder de duizenden van Juda? Uit u zal Mij voortkomen, Die een Heerser zal zijn in Israel, en Wiens uitgangen zijn van ouds, van de dagen der eeuwigheid.
3 For this thing he shal yyue hem til to the tyme in which the trauelinge of child schal bere child, and the relifs of hise britheren schulen be conuertid to the sones of Israel.
Daarom zal Hij henlieden overgeven, tot den tijd toe, dat zij, die baren zal, gebaard hebbe; dan zullen de overigen Zijner broederen zich bekeren met de kinderen Israels.
4 And he schal stonde, and schal fede in the strengthe of the Lord, in the heiythe of the name of his Lord God; and thei schulen be conuertid, for now he schal be magnefied til to the endis of al erthe.
En Hij zal staan, en zal weiden in de kracht des HEEREN, in de hoogheid van den Naam des HEEREN, Zijns Gods, en zij zullen wonen, want nu zal Hij groot zijn tot aan de einden der aarde.
5 And this schal be pees, whanne Assirius schal come in to oure lond, and whanne he schal trede in oure housis; and we schulen reise on hym seuene scheepherdis, and eiyte primatis men, ether the firste in dignytee.
En Deze zal Vrede zijn; wanneer Assur in ons land zal komen, en wanneer hij in onze paleizen zal treden, zo zullen wij tegen hem stellen zeven herders, en acht vorsten uit de mensen.
6 And thei schulen frete the lond of Assur bi swerd, and the lond of Nembroth bi speris of hym; and he schal delyuere vs fro Assur, whanne he schal come in to oure lond, and whanne he schal trede in oure coostis.
Die zullen het land van Assur afweiden met het zwaard, en het land van Nimrod in deszelfs ingangen. Alzo zal Hij ons redden van Assur, wanneer dezelve in ons land zal komen, en wanneer hij in onze landpale zal treden.
7 And relifs of Jacob schulen be in the myddil of many puplis, as dew of the Lord, and as dropis on erbe, whiche abidith not man, and schal not abide sones of men.
En Jakobs overblijfsel zal zijn in het midden van vele volken, als een dauw van den HEERE, als droppelen op het kruid, dat naar geen man wacht, noch mensenkinderen verbeidt.
8 And relifs of Jacob schulen be in hethene men, in the myddil of many puplis, as a lioun in beestis of the woodis, and as a whelpe of a lioun rorynge in flockis of scheep; and whanne he passith, and defoulith, and takith, there is not that schal delyuere.
Ja, het overblijfsel van Jakob zal zijn onder de heidenen, in het midden van vele volken, als een leeuw onder de beesten des wouds, als een jonge leeuw onder de schaapskudden; dewelke, wanneer hij doorgaat, zo vertreedt en verscheurt hij, dat niemand redde.
9 And thin hond schal be reisid on thin enemyes, and alle thin enemyes schulen perische.
Uw hand zal verhoogd zijn boven uw wederpartijders, en al uw vijanden zullen uitgeroeid worden.
10 And it schal be, in that dai, seith the Lord, Y schal take awei thin horsis fro the myddil of thee, and Y schal distrie thi foure horsid cartis.
En het zal te dien dage geschieden, spreekt de HEERE, dat Ik uw paarden uit het midden van u zal uitroeien, en Ik zal uw wagenen verdoen.
11 And Y schal leese the citees of thi lond, and Y schal distrie alle thi strengthis;
En Ik zal de steden uws lands uitroeien, en Ik zal al uw vestingen afbreken.
12 and Y schal do awei witchecraftis fro thin hond, and dyuynaciouns schulen not be in thee.
En Ik zal de toverijen uit uw hand uitroeien, en gij zult geen guichelaars hebben.
13 And Y schal make for to perische thi `grauun ymagis, and Y schal breke togidere fro the myddil of thee thin ymagis, and thou schalt no more worschipe the werkis of thin hondis.
En Ik zal uw gesneden beelden en uw opgerichte beelden uit het midden van u uitroeien, dat gij u niet meer zult nederbuigen voor het werk uwer handen.
14 And Y schal drawe out of the middis of thee thi woodis, and Y schal al to-breke thi citees.
Voorts zal Ik uw bossen uit het midden van u uitroeien, en Ik zal uw steden verdelgen.
15 And Y schal make in woodnesse and indignacioun veniaunce in alle folkis, whiche herden not.
En Ik zal in toorn en in grimmigheid wrake doen aan de heidenen, die niet horen.
