1 Takith hede, that ye do not youre riytwisnesse bifor men, to be seyn of hem, ellis ye schulen haue no meede at youre fadir that is in heuenes.
“Mwegendereze, ebikolwa byammwe eby’obutuukirivu obutabikoleranga mu lujjudde lw’abantu nga mwagala babasiime, kubanga bwe munaakolanga bwe mutyo Kitammwe ali mu ggulu talibawa mpeera.”
2 Therfore whanne thou doist almes, nyle thou trumpe tofore thee, as ypocritis doon in synagogis and stretis, that thei be worschipid of men; sotheli Y seie to you, they han resseyued her meede.
“Bw’obanga ogabira omwavu ekintu teweeraganga nga bannanfuusi bwe bakola ne basooka okufuuwa eŋŋombe mu makuŋŋaaniro ne mu nguudo, nga bagenda okugabira abaavu, abantu babalabe babawe ekitiibwa. Ddala ddala mbagamba nti Abo, eyo y’empeera yaabwe.
3 But whanne thou doist almes, knowe not thi left hond what thi riyt hond doith, that thin almes be in hidils,
Naye ggwe bw’obanga ogabira omuntu yenna ekintu omukono gwo ogwa kkono guleme kumanya ogwa ddyo kye gukola.
4 and thi fadir that seeth in hiddils, schal quyte thee.
Kale Kitaawo amanyi ebyama byonna alikuwa empeera.”
5 And whanne ye preyen, ye schulen not be as ipocritis, that louen to preye stondynge in synagogis and corneris of stretis, to be seyn of men; treuli Y seie to you, thei han resseyued her meede.
“Era bwe mubanga musaba mwekuume obutaba nga bannanfuusi abaagala okweraga nga bwe bali bannaddiini, ne basabira mu makuŋŋaaniro ne ku nguudo mu lujjudde, abantu babalabe. Abo, eyo y’empeera yokka gye balifuna.
6 But whanne thou schalt preye, entre in to thi couche, and whanne the dore is schet, preye thi fadir in hidils, and thi fadir that seeth in hidils, schal yelde to thee.
Naye ggwe bw’obanga osaba, oyingiranga mu nnyumba yo, ne weggalira mu kisenge kyo n’osabira eyo mu kyama. Kitaawo ategeera ebyama byo byonna alikuwa by’omusabye.
7 But in preiyng nyle yee speke myche, as hethene men doon, for thei gessen that thei ben herd in her myche speche.
Era bwe musabanga temuddiŋŋananga mu bigambo oba okwogera ebigambo enkumu ng’abatamanyi Katonda bwe bakola nga balowooza nti Bwe banaddiŋŋana mu bigambo emirundi n’emirundi okusaba kwabwe lwe kunaddibwamu.
8 Therfor nyle ye be maad lich to hem, for your fadir woot what is nede to you, bifore that ye axen hym.
Kale temubafaanananga, kubanga Kitammwe amanyidde ddala byonna bye mwetaaga ne bwe muba nga temunnamusaba.”
9 And thus ye schulen preye, Oure fadir that art in heuenes, halewid be thi name;
Noolwekyo mumusabenga bwe muti nti, Kitaffe ali mu ggulu, Erinnya Lyo litukuzibwe.
10 thi kyngdoom come to; be thi wille don `in erthe as in heuene;
Obwakabaka bwo bujje. By’oyagala bikolebwe mu nsi, nga bwe bikolebwa mu ggulu.
11 yyue to vs this dai oure `breed ouer othir substaunce;
Otuwenga emmere yaffe eya buli lunaku.
12 and foryyue to vs oure dettis, as we foryyuen to oure dettouris;
Tusonyiwe ebyonoono byaffe nga naffe bwe tusonyiwa abatwonoona.
13 and lede vs not in to temptacioun, but delyuere vs fro yuel. Amen.
Totuganya kukemebwa naye tulokole eri omubi.
14 For if ye foryyuen to men her synnes, youre heuenli fadir schal foryyue to you youre trespassis.
“Kubanga bwe munaasonyiwanga ababasobezza, nammwe Kitammwe ali mu ggulu anaabasonyiwanga.
15 Sotheli if ye foryyuen not to men, nether youre fadir schal foryyue to you youre synnes.
Naye bwe mutaasonyiwenga bannammwe, nammwe Kitammwe ali mu ggulu taabasonyiwenga.”
16 But whanne ye fasten, nyle ye be maad as ypocritis sorewful, for thei defacen hem silf, to seme fastyng to men; treuli Y seie to you, they han resseyued her meede.
“Bwe musiibanga, temukiraganga nga bannanfuusi bwe bakola. Kubanga batunuza ennaku balyoke balabike mu bantu nti basiiba, mbategeeza ng’abo, eyo y’empeera yokka gye bagenda okufuna.
17 But whanne thou fastist, anoynte thin heed, and waische thi face,
Naye ggwe bw’osiibanga olongoosanga enviiri zo n’onaaba ne mu maaso,
18 that thou be not seen fastynge to men, but to thi fadir that is in hidlis, and thi fadir that seeth in priuey, shal yelde to thee.
abantu baleme kutegeera nti osiiba, okuggyako Kitaawo ali mu ggulu era alaba mu kyama alikuwa empeera.”
19 Nile ye tresoure to you tresouris in erthe, where ruste and mouyte destrieth, and where theues deluen out and stelen;
“Temweterekeranga byabugagga wano ku nsi kwe biyinza okwonoonebwa ennyenje n’obutalagge, n’ababbi kwe bayinza okubibbira.
20 but gadere to you tresouris in heuene, where nether ruste ne mouyte distrieth, and where theues deluen not out, ne stelen.
Naye mweterekerenga obugagga bwammwe mu ggulu gye butayinza kwonoonebwa nnyenje wadde obutalagge, n’ababbi gye batayinza kuyingira kububba.
21 For where thi tresoure is, there also thin herte is.
Kubanga obugagga bwo gye buli n’omutima gwo gye gunaabeeranga.”
22 The lanterne of thi bodi is thin iye; if thin iye be symple, al thi bodi shal be liytful;
“Eriiso y’ettabaaza y’omubiri gwo, noolwekyo eriiso bwe liba eddamu, omubiri gwo gwonna gujjula ekitangaala ng’eky’omusana.
23 but if thin iye be weiward, al thi bodi shal be derk. If thanne the liyt that is in thee be derknessis, how grete schulen thilk derknessis be?
Naye eriiso lyo bwe liba ebbi, omubiri gwo gwonna gunaabeeranga n’ekizikiza, noolwekyo ekizikiza ekyo kiba kikwafu nnyo!”
24 No man may serue tweyn lordis, for ethir he schal hate `the toon, and loue the tother; ethir he shal susteyne `the toon, and dispise the tothir. Ye moun not serue God and richessis.
“Tewali n’omu ayinza kuweereza bakulu babiri, kubanga alikyawako omu n’ayagala omulala oba aliwulirako omu n’anyooma omulala. Toyinza kuweereza Katonda na mamona.”
25 Therfor I seie to you, that ye be not bisi to youre lijf, what ye schulen ete; nether to youre bodi, with what ye schulen be clothid. Whether lijf is not more than meete, and the bodie more than cloth?
“Noolwekyo mbagamba nti, Temweraliikiriranga bya bulamu bwammwe, bye munaalya oba bye munaanywa, wadde ebyokwambala. Kubanga obulamu businga ebyokulya, n’omubiri gusinga ebyambalo.
26 Biholde ye the foulis of the eire, for thei sowen not, nethir repen, nethir gaderen in to bernes; and youre fadir of heuene fedith hem. Whether ye ben not more worthi than thei?
Mulabire ku nnyonyi ez’omu bbanga! Tezisiga so tezikungula so tezikuŋŋaanyiza mmere mu tterekero, naye Kitammwe ali mu ggulu aziriisa. Naye mmwe temusinga nnyo ennyonyi ezo?
27 But who of you thenkynge mai putte to his stature o cubit?
Ani ku mmwe, bwe yeeraliikirira, ayinza okwongerayo obulamu bwe akatundu n’akamu?”
28 And of clothing what ben ye bisye? Biholde ye the lilies of the feeld, how thei wexen. Thei trauelen not, nether spynnen;
“Naye lwaki mweraliikirira ebyokwambala? Mulabire ku malanga ag’oku ttale! Tegaliiko kye geekolera,
29 and Y seie to you, Salomon in al his glorie was not keuered as oon of these.
naye ne Kabaka Sulemaani mu kitiibwa kye kyonna teyagenkana mu kwambala.
30 And if God clothith thus the hei of the feeld, that to day is, and to morewe is cast in to an ouen, hou myche more you of litel feith?
Naye obanga Katonda ayambaza obulungi bw’atyo omuddo ogw’omu nsiko ogw’ekiseera obuseera, ogubaawo leero ate enkeera ne gwokebwa mu kyoto, talisingawo nnyo okubambaza? Nga mulina okukkiriza okutono!
31 Therfor nyle ye be bisi, seiynge, What schulen we ete? or, What schulen we drinke? or, With what thing schulen we be keuered?
Noolwekyo temweraliikiririranga nga mugamba nti, ‘Tunaalya ki? Oba nti, Tunaanywa ki? Oba nti, Tunaayambala ki?’
32 For hethene men seken alle these thingis; and youre fadir woot, that ye han nede to alle these thingis.
Ebyo byonna bannamawanga bye bayaayaanira. Naye Kitammwe ali mu ggulu amanyi ng’ebyo byonna mubyetaaga.
33 Therfor seke ye first the kyngdom of God, and his riytfulnesse, and alle these thingis shulen be cast to you.
Naye musooke munoonye obwakabaka bwa Katonda n’obutuukirivu bwe, ebyo byonna mulibyongerwako.
34 Therfor nyle ye be bisy in to the morew, for the morew shal be bisi to `hym silf; for it suffisith to the dai his owen malice.
Noolwekyo temweraliikiriranga bya nkya. Kubanga olunaku olw’enkya lulyeraliikirira ebyalwo. Buli lunaku lulina emitawaana gyalwo egimala.”
